I like it almost eveyone on the responses liked it or love it, and thats why it was probably done, I am guessing they are “outdoor” type people that live deep in the woods in maine somewhere, hunting for food no and again. Hey Roy,
Don’t get mad at the photographer because he/she took that picture. If you weren’t gawking at other people’s misfortunes and sensibilities on this website, you might never had come up to one that reminded you of your own.
That said, it is a well-done job on the car, but c’mon, people. The whole woodland cammo thing is cliched and dated (and it’s only been prominent for a couple of years, so what does THAT tell you?).
If everybody’s doing it, it can’t be that special, right? And if it’s so saturated to the point that it reinforces stereotypes about a certain demographic, does that not make it fair game for satire? Is that not the point of this site?

Don’t get mad at the photographer because he/she took that picture. If you weren’t gawking at other people’s misfortunes and sensibilities on this website, you might never had come up to one that reminded you of your own.
That said, it is a well-done job on the car, but c’mon, people. The whole woodland cammo thing is cliched and dated (and it’s only been prominent for a couple of years, so what does THAT tell you?).
If everybody’s doing it, it can’t be that special, right? And if it’s so saturated to the point that it reinforces stereotypes about a certain demographic, does that not make it fair game for satire? Is that not the point of this site?

I am the one who took the picture using my Blackberry 8900 at the Bartlesville, Oklahoma Wal-Mart. The entire interior was also done in the same camo scheme as the exterior with only the chrome pieces not being touched. As a transplant from Florida, being used to the horribly terrifying world that is “rednecks” even I was taken aback from the lengths to which people up there would go to to perpetuate thier own stereotype! Ah, you people are amazing!! EVERYONE has been telling me that there is a photo of my bug on this website. So I just thought I’d check it out. There are about a thousand of these “wrapped” camo VW’s They mostly belong to Outdoor Vending Companies that sell to sporting goods stores. I have seen the five different states. They are pretty cool…

This car is in Bartlesville, OK. The owner is a guy named Donnie. He owns a vehicle specialties shop called “Truck Traits”. I used to work across from his shop before it moved, and seen it everyday. His wife normally drives this car. See it allll the time around town now.
