Keeping Their Distance
I don’t know exactly what those things on your legs are, but I’m pretty sure they used to be pantyhose which decided that instead of being stuck up there they would just wilt and deteriorate until they are at a safe distance.

If she turns around you’ll be able to see her trunk.
Didn’t know they let elephants into WMart.
January 13th, 2011
Looks like a skin condition.
January 13th, 2011
Some kind of medical hose, maybe?
January 13th, 2011
She is diabetic and those are wound dressings.
January 13th, 2011
compression stockings lol
January 13th, 2011
What’s with the shorts? Are those two pair of shorts, or frilly granny panties hanging out from under shorts, or what?
January 13th, 2011
Those actually look like they may (at least at one point) be compression socks which are used to help with circulation.
Regardless, that woman seriously needs to rethink her wardrobe!
January 13th, 2011
Well whatever the pink stuff is, I’m grateful for it. It saved my eyes, just barely.
January 13th, 2011
It cannot be too much to ask for these people to cover up a little, surely.
January 13th, 2011
They could be for poor circulation in her lower legs….
Its sad that whomever posted this is that uneducated that they would pick on people with possible medical conditions.
This isnt the first time.
Pathetic….
January 13th, 2011
Next on “WHEN SUPPORT HOSE ATTACK!”
January 13th, 2011
Those are for circulation I do believe…. but her booty is still eating those shorts!
January 13th, 2011
My penis would have the exact same reaction!!!
January 13th, 2011
Those are leg wraps. They wrap the leg from the toes up to the knee and use padding underneath for sores. My father gets them done. Oh by the way, i like this site but poking fun at someones medical condition is kind of i dunno… LOW.
January 13th, 2011
They’re anti embolism or compression stockings, used for people with retaining fluid like someone who has congestive heart failure or people at risk for blood clots…. but…. yeah she didn’t take care of them too well… love the shoes though….
January 13th, 2011
looks like it might be ace bandages on her legs- and anyway at least she is walking and not using a motorized cart- like some lazy peole do!!!
January 13th, 2011
They are called compression garments. They are very poorly wrapped but. they are used to help circulate blood flow to the feet.
January 13th, 2011
How dare you laugh at this person who is wearing her “Sunday Best” knee highs……can’t you see they’re holy???
January 13th, 2011
Cankles. Ser.
January 13th, 2011
That is at least 8 different kinds of wrong. Why? I just don’t understand….
January 13th, 2011
@ ORION, Those Support hose need to attack about another 16 inches higher.
Lord help us as we age.
January 13th, 2011
Are those platform crocks?
January 13th, 2011
this is in poor taste overall, the way she is dressed for public, but it does look like support hose. Funny pics at walmart is in poor taste also. who are you to do this, this may be funny to some people, but it might also mean that you shouldn’t be looking to make fun of people, have you nothing better to do, or do you get paid for this. you need to go to nightclubs to take pics of those that put their selves in the position to be made fun of instead of people shopping for things they need, take a long look at yourself. shame on you and walmart for doing this.
January 13th, 2011
lol those are called ted hose. they help with swelling and circulation. but hey at least shes not wearing a thong and a mini skirt
January 13th, 2011
Love the shoes. They really bring the outfit together.
January 13th, 2011
It looks like she is wearing socks under the brown thing on her legs… Could they be ace wrap for a leg problem ?
January 13th, 2011
I think that I would rather look at the guy on the last page……..He looks much better as a female,(esp the legs), than she does, even with his mustache.
January 13th, 2011
She has bad socks on. You should wear good socks especially when it is cold out. maybe she is at the store to get new socks.
January 13th, 2011
she probably has diabetes and has open sores on her legs i know people with that problem and it isnt fun. usually ends up with amputations
January 13th, 2011
Granny Longstockings
January 13th, 2011
I have the sudden urge for fruit striped gum..lmao..oh by the way I love your shoes…
January 13th, 2011
they are a realllllly old pair of compression socks for people with COPD (heart problem that creates a liquid that the body cant get rid of so gravity works. and the socs are to help keep it from pooling.)
January 13th, 2011
I have the sudden urge for fruit striped gum… Oh by the way! I love your shoes…lmao
January 13th, 2011
omg, she is wearing 2 pairs of shorts! I thought the gray ones was just the bottom of her tshirt and it was stuck in her crack! lol. Thinking those are some severly worn knee hi’s. Don’t they sell those things at WalMart?
January 13th, 2011
I have the sudden urge for fruit striped gum.. Oh by the way! I love your shoes…lmao
January 13th, 2011
They are medical bandages called uni-boots, its a medical therapy for severe leg swelling in short.
January 13th, 2011
Oh Kermy, could you get moi a circus tent?
January 13th, 2011
worst pair of 70s kneehighs i’ve seen
January 13th, 2011
I’m in healthcare, and have worked with this type of therapy as well as TED hose and compression socks.
Those are neither TED hose nor any other form of compression socks. They are Ace bandages over gauze. They’re used for edema. The gauze absorbs the fluid that weeps out of the pores. You can’t layer the compression hose over gauze, and trust me, you want the gauze!
Many people get edema, due to disease, medical treatments, or allergic reactions. Roughly one third of the patients I’ve taken care of in the last 10 years have had mild to severe edema which means… most of you will have it too! (Oh, and that’s not counting any of you ladies who’s ankles swelled with pregnancy!)
So keep laughing guys!
January 13th, 2011
Some people are just plain disgusting.
January 13th, 2011
Looks like ace bandage. I just don’t understand how people actually think it’s ok to walk out of the house looking like that. Even for people to not give a flying crap what they look like this is just mental. HA!!
January 13th, 2011
you might want to head for the exit before the curtain call…
January 13th, 2011
Actually they are suppression stockings most likely for a medical condition called lymphedema. A condition I myself suffer from. The lymph-nodes can no longer pump the fluid out of a portion of your limbs and causes severe swelling and often time weeping. The only course of action, a-hole, is to wear stockings that help restrict the swelling so that your legs do not build up with too much fluid. Unfortunately it is the only treatment and eventually this poor woman, like myself will face the possibility of losing her legs. But hey, make fun of her… go ahead.
January 13th, 2011
Being a person who has worn those wraps(ankle surgery), it’s called coband it a medical wrap the provide compression before, during and after surgery. Not sure what stage she’s at but I’m guessing she’s not wearing the protective boot that usually accompanies the bandages. Obviously she cares more about what she looks like rather than taking care of herself. Either way It’s not funny, the rest of her outfit is something all together messed up beyond all help.
January 13th, 2011
How the hell did her underwear get on the outside of her skirt?
January 13th, 2011
Are those platform Crocs she’s wearing?
January 13th, 2011
She got those from the “White Trash Hosiery Department”.
January 13th, 2011
Put the pink Drawers on the outside and the grey thing on the inside
They will go great with the pink HIGH-HEAL Crocks ! ! ! !
January 13th, 2011
would anybody like to hear about my penile implant?
January 13th, 2011
This woman is wearing compression bandages. This is common for those being treated for a medical condition called Lymphedema and is in now way funny in the least! This is the second photo POW has posted making fun of someone with a disability today alone. I think someone should really be doing a bit more research about their content prior to posting. While I find some of the photos on this site funny.. there is nothing funny about making fun of someone who is suffering from a medical condition/handicap!
January 13th, 2011
actually that is a medicated wrap called una boot with coban wrapped around, so she has pain issues with her lower legs, that is not nice to make fun at, however the shorts leave a bit to be desired.
January 13th, 2011
It wraps for venous insufficiency.
January 13th, 2011
@MAC- I’m sorry that you suffer from such a horrible condition, I know someone who has it too. Stockings like that aren’t just for lymphedema, people who spend lots of time on their feet at work (like my mother who’s an RN) and diabetics use them too. They actually look like they might just be ratty knee-highs.
Don’t take what is said here personally, it’s not directed at you. Heck if your surfing the site you are one of us!
January 13th, 2011
They are support hose with bandages under them. Looks like she is going through some medical issues like cellulitis. As one person said at least she is walking and not riding in a cart. Thought this site didnt make fun of ppl with medical issues.. its pretty lame. Tho the shoes are not the best for her and the shorts are a little short she is at least covered.
January 13th, 2011
and also while the POWM MEDICAL STAFF is on hand tonight…i have some questions about breast (BOOB JOB) augmentation?
January 13th, 2011
Okay, okay, isn’t anyone else gettin turned on by the massive wedgie?
January 13th, 2011
Those are compression wraps – using Coban and Surepress. It’s to help reduce the swelling in a persons legs – for a variety of medical reasons.
@Mac – you would sound more informed if you know what to call them – no such thing as “supression” wraps – but thanks for the giggle
January 13th, 2011
Why, do you want some boobs of your own? Lol. Are you going to be featured on this site some time in the near future????Let me know. I would love to look at that………Also, how would that work with your new penile implant. Very curious to read about it, to say the least.
January 13th, 2011
I’ve been waiting and waiting to read the rest of the story about your favorite sexy soft jeans with the little rip below the back pocket………any skin showing?
January 13th, 2011
Out of all of that-you noticed her socks?!?!?!?! Those shoes are SHITEOUS!
January 13th, 2011
You show me yours, I’ll show you mine.
January 13th, 2011
Really? Really? Damn, if this picture is recent can I point out that it was 2 degrees in Missouri today??
Even if she does have some medical condition I’m still laughing at her choice of outfits. To leave the house looking like this calls for it. No matter the medical condition. I was offended at people mocking the guy in the helmet, because most likely he had no choice, but to wear it. And how do you hide a helmet? But DAMN people She’s makin’ all SORTS of fashion faux pas even before we get to the stockings? Socks?
Also I think they are just ratty knee-highs!
January 13th, 2011
If these are surgical socks, she needs new ones because the ones she’s wearing are in shreds. I don’t see how they could possibly be doing her any good.
January 13th, 2011
Checkmate !
January 13th, 2011
Maybe she could use a “hosebag”??
January 13th, 2011
shes a diabetic the things on her calves keep her blood warm to help with circulation so she will not lose her leg below her knee caps, another reason is to help the swelling, that is where fluid build up occurs.
January 13th, 2011
Those are for medical use – probably shouldn’t make fun of this person. This is not their fault.
January 13th, 2011
it looks like those calf wraps for veins that are buldging out or have poor circulation
January 13th, 2011
Random comment of the evening..there is a difference between tolerance and acceptance
January 13th, 2011
I too have to meander around with similar stockings. During Southern California summers, shorts are mandatory even if people have to see your ugly medical necessity garments. There are a number of conditions listed by others here in which medical compression shown here is necessary. It is sad that people have pinpointed this poor woman for her health condition when we all know there are more “appropriate” persons to poke fun at. Think about it – would you post a photo and make fun of a bald woman who is undergoing chemo and radiation for breast cancer?
January 13th, 2011
I can’t believe how poorly educated you people are. They are compression hose….Nice try though. Come on.
January 13th, 2011
………..
January 13th, 2011
Lady – the dude in the picture before this with the mini skirt wants his shoes back.
January 13th, 2011
I will accept that the stockings are medical support hose. And it’s not a good thing that they look in a state of disrepair. But that certainly doesn’t excuse the rest of her outfit, or her hair. *shudder*. Woman what WERE you thinking?
January 13th, 2011
Actually, the woman is wearing a form of Unna boot. It is a compression dressing for people with open wounds on the lower legs secondary to poor circulation. It is most often comprised of 3 layers: an initial gauze layer impregnated with zinc, a soft absorbent dressing or wrap, and then Coban or self-stick stretch bandage. It looks fresh, as if just recently done, and the womanprobably wore shorts to the doctor so she wouldn’t have to remove her pants.
It’s often a quite painful condition, and can end up debilitating. And I also admire her for not using the motorized cart!
January 13th, 2011
For your information she is wearing Una Boots, they are used as a dressing for stasis ulcers on the legs, the clothing I can not explain.
January 13th, 2011
Medical bandages will not eliminate cankles regardless how tight you wrap them.
January 13th, 2011
i don’t think it’s recent.. the people in the far distance are also wearing shorts and short sleeze.. opps i mean sleeves
January 13th, 2011
The stuff on legs looks like (Coban) and gauze coban is an elastic bandage that binds to it’s self. She might have burns or another type rash that needs ointment and covered. I do not think that she is trying to make a fashion statement, the coban is uncomfortable to wear. ( I have worked in health care for many many years)
It is the pink short shorts that is an oh no you didn’t moment.
January 14th, 2011
The material is too thin to be compression bandages, no edges or overlap. I agree with a previous poster–ratty knee highs. The elasticity and dye in cheap stockings can break down to form irregular patterns like this.
January 14th, 2011
IMHO? From top to bottom – or from inside to outside: A pink night gown, over which she’s put on grey shorts and T-shirt and pulled the hem of the night down down into the legs of the shorts. On the legs – dressings (you can see a portion of a white one on the left leg, over which has been wrapped co-ban – self sticking bandages, with sheer, knee high stocksing to keep the whole mess in place. On her feet, platform knock-off Crocs from God knows where. I’m off to go stare at my nursing degrees while the eye bleach kicks in…..
January 14th, 2011
Sorry for the typos – I’ve been at the computer 18 hours now.
January 14th, 2011
Umm, last time I checked a medical condition is no excuse to have a hideous dress sense. I could only excuse it if she was blind, and for some reason I don’t think she is.
Has anyone noticed the hair? It looks like straight hair with a curly wig on top… Very suspicious.
January 14th, 2011
If you look at the other people off in the distance, you can see they are also in shorts……pic is not current as it was only 20 degress as the high all week. I agree on the med socks……..look like mine, although it is time for her to get a new pair. I also thought her outfit looks like she pulled a gray short set over her hot pink swimsuit, which has a granny skirt attached. I also wonder if the super thick souls on her shoes is to help with a foot problem like a bone spur?
January 14th, 2011
lmfao i see Missouri is were all the cool ppl are…………………not there are about 99.9% of the that have no clue that they are just dumb inbreeds and if anyone disagrees well send pics cause i was there for a month i don’t believe that there normal ppl there
January 14th, 2011
My wife wears support stockings because of a weakened lower part of the heart due to radiation for breast cancer. They make it hard to look fashionable for sure, but wearers are totally responsible for the rest of their wardrobe.
January 14th, 2011
It`s not just the things on her legs. The hair, the shorts, ths shoes…WTF?!?
January 14th, 2011
TED hose is close… She has “coban” wrapped dressings on her legs. Usually used to treat venous stasis ulcers.
January 14th, 2011
For all you who think it is terrible that pow is making fun of this woman’s condition, i would guess then it would be ok with you if someone did not wear a shirt and had therir colostomy bag hanging out or had large open sores walking around wally world. Don’t you people realize this is how germs and diseases are spread.
January 14th, 2011
Ok where did you get platform “crocs” in that shade of pepto pink….
January 14th, 2011
OMG, get the f*** over yourselves. I hate when a pic is posted that shows some type of medical procedure going on, i.e. ace bandages, etc and all the “medical personnel” jump out of the wood work. The problem is, noone ever asks their opinion on anything or even cares for that matter so they come to this site and let the well of information flow. Shut the hell up trying to lecture people on what’s funny and what isn’t, how in the hell are you any different when the only reason you come to this site is to laugh at someone. If you don’t like it, don’t look at the freaking picture and leave your so called knowledge out of it because noone cares!
January 14th, 2011
Cankles!!
January 14th, 2011
Looks like med socks I have although she NEEDS a new pair. As far as the outfit, looks like a gray short set pulled over a granny skirted swim suit. If you look in the distance you will se others in shorts. So this is not a current photo as it has been a high in the 2o’s all week in Missouri. Bet the shoes are flip flops gone wrong or med shoes for a bone spur.
January 14th, 2011
@Selena- I’m wearing a 20-30mg/hg compression sock over a non-stick pad covering a wound and held in place by gauze wrap right now, as directed by a licensed doctor at a major hospital’s wound recover center; after spending a month in 4 layers of varying tension compression wraps. The top layer being nothing more than ‘ace’ bandages . Where did you get your medical degree?
January 14th, 2011
They are NOT ace wraps…they are a special material called Coban. They are wrapped over bandages for compression and/or protection for wound care. I had a terrible bout with cellulitus last winter, and had a wrap nearly identical to these changed weekly on my left leg for 8 weeks. Making fun of her for a medical issue is low. Shame on you.
January 15th, 2011
Well, cut those legs off. Just because someone has circulation issues does not mean she has to wear shorts out in public. I say cut off her legs or she should have to wear pants. If you frequent this site, you should not be offended by this picture! Medical issue aside, the outfit is not socially acceptable!
January 15th, 2011
Who cares about the socks… what are those SHOES? Pink terrycloth platform house slippers… now that’s interesting!
January 15th, 2011
Wow. So. Are you going to start making fun of other people with medical conditions or disabilities next, PoWM? How about amputees? Or people with leprosy? Or people who are in wheelchairs? I heard those people can be funny. Or people who walk with crutches, or who wear a brace somewhere on their body? Or how about somebody who’s blind? That’s always good for a laugh…
Seriously, though. Way to keep it classy, PoWM. I hadn’t realized that looking at Walcreatures all day could lower the viewer to that lack of class. Well – er – done.
January 15th, 2011
I actually dont think they were ever panty hose, panty hose have the crotch part and goes over ur tummy..These could be just dress socks with a pattern on them…My question is why the socks with slippers and why two pairs of short shorts?? She must be delusional!
January 15th, 2011
I’m in month 7 of having to wear various configurations of Una boots, compression wraps and regular bandaging. When it was hitting 100 degrees out, screw what fashion police dictated – I HAD to wear shorts, those things are hot & uncomfotrable as it is, was not about to roast in pants or jeans. @ the person so concerned about us spreading disease, sorry, we have nothing that’s contagious, but we sure as hell have to worry about the germs/bacteria/virus you are shedding to complicate our conditions.
That aside – gaahhhhhhhh she has horrible fasion sense
January 15th, 2011
Hey Mary, are we now so PC that just because they have a medical condition you can’t make fun of their poor fashion choices? Granted, the comment on the main page shouldn’t have focussed on the bandages but come on, those short PJs or whatever they are should not be worn in public like that.
January 15th, 2011
Im surprised even the healthcare workers are getting this wrong. Those are wrapped tightly, which means they are not for wound care. They are not ace bandages or compression stockings. Its Flex wrapp over a gauze padding. Often used in Diabetics with wound care if done snug but not tightly. When wrapped tightly it would be because she has Lymphedema in her legs. My Mother has this and ive applied theese bandages to her for Both Wounds and her Lymphedema. These wraps are changed daily as they fluid is massaged out of the leg.
January 16th, 2011
What?! If she is going out in public looking like that, she deserves the ridicule! She needs to put some pants on like a normal couth person with integrity and self respect, not subject the public to that!
In response to:
“They could be for poor circulation in her lower legs….
Its sad that whomever posted this is that uneducated that they would pick on people with possible medical conditions.
This isnt the first time.
Pathetic….”
January 17th, 2011
Baby, these cankles can NOT be contained!
January 19th, 2011
OMG I am glad someone mentioned those were pantyhose, I thought it was a sun tan that had gone wrong, or even worse a skin problem. Well I guess with the two toned skin, the two pairs of shorts seem to match the outfit.
January 19th, 2011
They are called a unna boot., It is medicated gauze wrapped over top with a stretchy ace bandage for ulcers and circulation problems, My husband had to wear them for a while but not like she is doing!
January 20th, 2011
Go to Walmart, in the same aisle as ace bandages and look for “Coban”, and then you will know what is wrapped around her legs. It is kind of “self stick”. My grandma uses it all the time in her profession. It is not a nasty thing if she has to use it for a medical condition. Would you like for her sores or something be exposed? Get real…
January 20th, 2011
Those are indeed wound dressings, looks like a gauze rolled dressing covered with something called “coban”, a flesh-toned disposable elastic dressing that is self adherent, similar to an ace but applies more consistent pressure.
January 20th, 2011
Could also be to cover upa disease or support her ankles, trombose is a pretty nasty disease, I’d rather keep that blood bubble in my legs rather then in my lungs and die. Life over looks I’d say.
January 21st, 2011
Those are medical compression bandages, which are generally used to treat really bad skin wounds like big cellulitis infections and venous stasis ulcers. You DON’T want to see what’s underneath, trust me. Puts shock horror movies to shame.
(I’m a nurse)
January 21st, 2011
OK I know what these are, but maybe she could do a second take on her wardrobe? I mean REALLY have a little pride folks.
January 22nd, 2011
WOW! Is that the text book definition of “Cankle”?
January 23rd, 2011
Yeah… That looks a lot like Koban. A self-adhesive medical wrapping. I think you can even see some of the gauze sticking out near the top of it on the left leg. lol I guess a pair of Jeans or hell, even sweat pants were a bit too much to ask…
January 25th, 2011
I didn’t know you could make a thong out of sweatpants…..LMAO
January 26th, 2011
Those are actually self adhesive ace bandages. they’re used to cover wounds and protect sensitive, new skin from things that can damage or hurt it. please don’t make fun of her.
January 26th, 2011
There TED hose you idiots my God.
January 29th, 2011
Those are probably coban wraps used to cover una boots. They’re frequently used for stasis ulcers, poor circulation, and edema. We see them a lot where I work. We do not, however, encourage people to run around with shorts on to show them off. They are not TED hose, you can see the white una boot under the coban.
February 1st, 2011
They are called una-boots and they are a medical treatment. The rest of the outfit is fair game but keep to your goal of not making fun of medical needs. This is the second one I have seen.
February 3rd, 2011
They are Unna boots for skin ulcers. I wouldn’t be out showing them off myself.. Be glad they are on-I’m sure the ulcerated skin under them isn’t too pretty (and usually doesn’t smell too good either!)
February 5th, 2011
Actually those are Lymphedema wraps. And knowing from expirience in the medical field the condition is pretty painful and nefariously foul smelling.
February 8th, 2011
It looks like an unna boot…damp ace wrap with coband around it…she is probably a diabetic and has venous or arterial ulcers. Its a wound care management technique
February 22nd, 2011
She just had surgery on her legs. How do I know this?? I saw a lady in a gorcery store who had an even more ridiculous outfit on with wrapped legs just like that, who exclaimed: ‘I just had leg surgery!’…She must have seen my bewildered look as she approached me..hmmm
March 3rd, 2011
Those are actually called unna boots. Sorry if I happen to know this, because my Mother use to have these on her legs twice a month.
Unna’s boot is a special gauze (usually 4 inches wide and 10 yards long) bandage, which can be used for the treatment of venous stasis ulcers and other venous insufficiencies of the leg. It can also be used as a supportive bandage for sprains and strains of the foot, ankle and lower leg. The gauze is impregnated with a thick, creamy mixture of zinc oxide and calamine to promote healing. It may also contain acacia, glycerin, castor oil and white petrolatum.
May 4th, 2011
Those my friends, are what we call “Thankles”
May 25th, 2011
She doesn’t necessarily have to be a diabetic. Those are called Unaboots. Bandages impregnated with zinc oxide and other stuff so the skin doesn’t break down. They are used for wound care and/or to assist with edematous legs. Diabetics as well as venous insufficiency patients get them to help in would care and assist in venous blood return. The brown bandage is elastic bandaging to keep the unaboot on. These are clean. They usually look nasty with ooze coming out of them. Pseudomonas are my favorite…..NOT!
June 4th, 2011
THis is a pretty sad site. The fact that people like to come here and make fun of others means they must not feel too good about themselves. It’s pathetic that so many of you need to feel superior by tearing others down. Absolutely pathetic.
July 18th, 2011
These are wound dressing. My father has to wear them. The “pantyhose” remark was just ignorance.
On the other hand though, her outfit is certainly Wal-Creature worthy.
July 28th, 2011
they are called una boots and they are a type of wound dressing for different types of wounds, diabetic, venous stasis ulcer and other things.
