Hot Crossed Bun
I like your horseshoe haircut. I hope it’s bringing you all sorts of good luck. In fact I have to assume it’s bringing you ridiculous amounts a good luck, to the point where it makes sense to keep it.

I get the feeling that’s not the Honey Bun you’d get out of a vending machine.

boring…….come on….its just an old lady…..i dont see anything wrong with this one..
April 15th, 2011
There is no humor in this.
April 15th, 2011
Yawnnnnnn………
April 15th, 2011
seriously lame, she’s just an older lady, that’s a common hairstyle for older ladies. At least she looks clean and well kempt without any junk hanging out anywhere.
April 15th, 2011
it’s an old lady…what the hell? old ladies wear their hair like that…if it was a young girl…that may be different…not much though..it’s just a bun.
April 15th, 2011
…that means she only needs to bring one horseshoe to the pit on Monday Nights.
April 15th, 2011
that hairstyle is actually a little difficult to do. cudo to her.
also, 1st
April 15th, 2011
The French Twist – both edible and fashionable.
April 15th, 2011
It’s Mrs. Doubtfire!
April 15th, 2011
For real,
Most older lady hairstyles are out of fashion any ways….. not seeing why this one is too special.
April 15th, 2011
Nicely accents her hair loss. Hopefully she is she in the aisle that sells mirrors.
April 15th, 2011
That was the style in her younger years, she might have even been pretty with her hair like that back then.
April 15th, 2011
It’s French BREAD, not French BRAID.
April 15th, 2011
Its one thing to make fun to ignorant rednecks, it is a whole other to make fun of an older lady. This is just insensitive high school antics. Try again.
April 15th, 2011
Her hair is smiling
April 15th, 2011
NOT powm worthy! Just an elderly lady with a hair style fitting her faith.
April 15th, 2011
Lame.. This is not a haircut it’s just the way she styled her hair.. It’s a pretty common up-do on older women..
April 15th, 2011
She’s looking like Mrs.Doubtfire from the back. Robin Williams wasn’t filiming a squeal was he?
April 15th, 2011
I am still trying to figure out why she has two different sleeves?
April 15th, 2011
Yeah, nothin’ to see here folks. The only thing I see that’s remotely interesting is the Hot French Bread cart accompanying her. Just a bun, even if it is a hot crossed french bread bun. But wait…on second look she’s got an Iversonesque arm sleeve. Wonder if she’s rockin’ unPC ink under there. FWIW Grammas w/ tats (even potential ones) rock!
April 15th, 2011
The bigger question here…why is one of her shirt sleeves white and the other one is gray just like her skirt, maybe she ran out of the gray material?
April 15th, 2011
Snore. Next please…
April 15th, 2011
I’ve never seen Mrs. Doubtfire, I didn’t know it took place in a WalMart
April 15th, 2011
THATS BANANAS! No seriously, bananas to the left of her head….
April 15th, 2011
This is just a nice, little old lady, unless – IT’S A MAN BABY!
April 15th, 2011
If thats the best you can do to pick apart a senior for her hair style.maybe you had best get a new life!!
April 15th, 2011
Oh come on people..get the stick out of your asses..its an ugly dated hairdo..perfectly ok for ridicule
April 15th, 2011
She has 2 different sleeves….lol
April 15th, 2011
It’s one of those sister wife hair styles
April 15th, 2011
Reminds me of Pink Floyd’s mother. LOL
April 15th, 2011
Mrs. Doubtfire is that you?
April 15th, 2011
It’s “Mom” from Futurama, planning her hostile takeover of Walmart:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mom_(Futurama)
April 15th, 2011
I think her hair looks really cool. Reminds me of a more graceful period.
April 15th, 2011
Umm, Sister Wives called. You didn’t get the part.
April 15th, 2011
I am too uncoordinated to get my hair up like that!! Go Grandma!!
April 15th, 2011
The only way this is POW worthy is if this turned out to be a dude…
April 15th, 2011
Since when did POW fans become so righteous? Because she is older??
Her hair looks ridiculous.
18 thumbs down, and I am proud. Keep ‘em coming hippocrits.
April 15th, 2011
YAWN…..really thats the best you can do?
April 15th, 2011
Her hair is rolled up on the sides. That would be hard I think.
April 15th, 2011
Oh brother! There’s nothing wrong with this! Just a little old lady! She’s dressed decent. Now it’d be a different story if she wore a skimpy outfit with fat rolls hanging out or had her varicose veins out for everybody to see. Come on! And yes, the hairstyle might not be fashionable, but it still looks good, and I daresay it even looks classy! To the lady in this picture, I salute you! You are an example to all those Wal*Creatures out there!
April 15th, 2011
it must have been a very slow picture day !
April 15th, 2011
The only thing that is special about her would be to note this is a Fundie, probably retired womb Quiverfull, dresses only Duggar type woman. We get them in our Wal Mart all the time, hardly worth a second look, except to realize there are more and more of them lately.
April 15th, 2011
Should have done your homework POWM. This is a classic hairstyle with women in the Holiness Church (the clothes match too). They are not allowed to cut their hair, and find different ways to put it up. Thumbs down this time guys.
April 15th, 2011
? I dont get it. this woman is older. this hairstyle fits her. this is normal. 100 percent normal.?
i guess i just dont get it.
welcome to the internet.
April 15th, 2011
REALLY??
it’s an old lady with her hair in a rolled bun.
gotta do better than this
April 15th, 2011
Lovely, modest hairstyle and dress. Sad this elicits negative comments.
April 15th, 2011
You know it’s a miss when the people are looking all over the background of the shot trying to find the joke.
April 15th, 2011
This lady has beautiful, thick gray hair. We should all be so lucky. The style is from the 40s. I used to do my hair like that back in the retro 70s. Had to roll the hair around a mesh “rat” to hold that shape. Cool to see. She does look a bit like Mrs. Doubtfire.
April 15th, 2011
Her hair style (old or young) and the clothes she’s wearing is a common and required dress for women who are either of the Mormon or Pentacostal religion. I once asked someone who was dressed like this and that was what i was told. It has nothing to do with being old.
I wish my hair was that thick.
April 15th, 2011
That looks like a pentacostal woman. Thats the way they wear their hair.
April 15th, 2011
of course its in Oklahoma just moved out of that inbred state they all turn into that…
April 15th, 2011
Nothing at all wrong with this. In fact, all the slobs who show up on this site could learn a lot about class and self respect by following this lady’s example.
April 16th, 2011
Why not have good people like this in peopleofwalmart pictures?
I think this is a good opportunity to learn about hair and clothing styles.
April 16th, 2011
This is just an average, old, midwestern person. Maybe she’s a fundie, maybe she just has no updated style. Totally doesn’t deserve to be here. Yeah, you should remove the pic.
April 16th, 2011
Wonder what her Victorian Secret is.
April 16th, 2011
one thing that i can’t stand to see is older people disrespected. especially by this lazy, spoiled, fat, selfish gimme generation of dumd idiots. makes me want to do what their parents should have done. slap the taste out of their mouths.
April 16th, 2011
*dumb*
April 16th, 2011
I think it’s Alice – from the Brady Bunch
April 16th, 2011
To FalconV6, your ignorance and ability to stereotype dazzle me. I’m a Mormon myself (formerly Pentecostal), and would only wear something like that for church or similar (current attire is T-shirt and sweatpants). There may be offshoots of the LDS church or of the Pentecostal movement with that kind of wardrobe requirement, but that’s far from universal. Please get out more and meet a wider range of people. You might find that people who believe differently than you do aren’t all cookie-cutter stereotypes, but are individuals.
As for the differing sleeve colors, I think it’s just a shadow on her left.
April 16th, 2011
guys, dont get a hernia by straining yourselves finding real POW-s. She is fine, clean, does not look like I would rush to the first eye removing station. I suggest to take this posting off.
April 16th, 2011
Seanette – The FLDS (Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints) IS a Mormon denomination. And the women from the Yearning For Zion Ranch, which is owned by the FLDS, wear their hair exactly like the woman in the picture.
April 16th, 2011
If this woman is a member of a specific Christian sect, what’s the difference between her and a lot of members of other subcultures, as in Punks, Goths, Juggalos, neoHippies, bikers, etc? She and her brothers and sisters in faith dress as they do to set themselves apart from the mainstream. The real difference is that her subculture is based on faith which if PROPERLY applied, supports and uplifts her and others like her throughout their entire lives, while a lot of other subcultures I can mention are at the root, products of mass merchandising and consumerism. Before you slap me with a downturned thumb, think about it, long and hard and then slap me if you will.
April 16th, 2011
She reminds me of my gramma now i wanna go dig her up and fist her poopie hole and lick out the maggots
April 16th, 2011
I live next door to an Alleghany Weslyn Methodist church and we are friends with some of the members. In fact just went to a wedding of one of the members today. Many women in that church wear thier hair this way and other similar styles. I sat behind a lady at the wedding today and did not have the nerve to ask her how in the world she was able to do her hair the way she did. It looked like it took a long time to get it styled that way. I was impressed though I like my short hair better for me.
April 16th, 2011
This lady’s picture doesn’t belong here. I hope you’ll take it down.
April 16th, 2011
Why only the gongs?
Remember the Gong Show in the late 1970′s, where the good actors won points and the failures got “gonged”?
It seems many comments here are asking that Peopleofwalmart.com remove the good acts, therefore leaving only the pictures of the “gongs” or failures. I think the good acts should stay, so we can learn more about hair styles and types of clothing.
April 17th, 2011
I think they took the picture because of her hairdo and the fact she is in front of the “Hot french bread” sign. It was pun intended.
April 17th, 2011
Didn’t the mayor of Whoville also have this haircut. I never knew what it was called til now.
April 17th, 2011
It’s different, not POWM worthy. She could also be Mennonite or Amish, I’ve seen both where I am with similar hairstyles. We have hitching posts here for the horses. It’s no biggie. I’d rather see this any and every day than some of the gals/guys that CANNOT dress with body parts hanging out everywhere.
April 17th, 2011
This is a very common way for women to wear their hair if they are in a religion that doesn’t allow them to cut it. Based on her outfit, I’d say that is the reason for it.
April 17th, 2011
Two words: Nurse Ratchett
April 18th, 2011
The hairstyle is common to female members of any number of “holiness” Christian sects. It is worn that way to look much like a crown, as Paul refers to a woman’s hair as her “crowning glory”. Nothing to see here folks.
April 18th, 2011
It’s not a cut, it’s an old fashioned hairdo that’s rolled and pinned. This is not funny; take it off this site, it doesn’t belong. And, can’t you see she has and injured right arm?
April 18th, 2011
In the 40′s–during WWII–this type of hairdo was called a “victory roll” –named after the airplane maneuver.
April 19th, 2011
That is what we call a Pentecostal hair do. If your not one then you don’t get it
April 19th, 2011
o……wow?
April 19th, 2011
when somebody tried to grab that off her head, I bet she whacked them with her cane.
April 20th, 2011
maybe she’s a Mentat
April 26th, 2011
That hairdo was very popular in the 40s; watch any movie from WWII and every other actress has the same one. It’s actually very flattering. So what if she’s still wearing her hair that way? Is she hurting anyone???
May 1st, 2011
HAHAHA its Mrs. Doubtfire!!
May 20th, 2011
Hi, for your info- this style was back in the war of the 40′s they called it “Victory Rolls” watch any movie from that time. I love this style, so classy. Always comments how nice and how did I get it that way. It makes a nice change of style
June 5th, 2011
auntie EM!!!!auntie EM!!!!!
June 5th, 2011
Mrs. Doubtfire shops at Walmart?
June 6th, 2011
ok so it is mrs. doubtfire
June 15th, 2011
Geesh, she actually looks pretty, nice and done up, notably for a WalMart visit. That hairstyle by the way is called a hair roll, and dates from the 1940′s/50′s. You have seen it in old films from the era on various movie stars. It is difficult and time-consuming to do it well, and she did do it well too. I think she looks great, just retro, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
June 22nd, 2011
Isn’t that the mother in Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”?
