Calling Shotgun
Listen, I know the threat level went up this week but I’m pretty sure you guys south of the border are safe….well maybe not from gangs and drug cartels, but I think terrorists will ignore you.

you idiot, that an FAL
May 9th, 2011
I hate tree hugging, anti-gun people. He appears to be some form of Law Enforcement and I would like to think even the completely anti-gun idiots would like to see tuebLaw Enforcement armed to protect the anti-gun people.
May 9th, 2011
Military or not, i’m fairly sure a shotgun isn’t necessary in walmart…unless he’s buying a walcreature hunting license. In that case go get ‘em tiger.
May 9th, 2011
What does a ‘shotgun’ have to do with a slung FAL *rifle*?
Look out! He might have an ‘assault clip’!
Anti freedom activists need to take a break, they aren’t looking very intelligent lately.
May 9th, 2011
@Corey: Who are you to decide what another citizen ‘needs’ at any given time? Are you proposing that no crime can happen in a Walmart?
Also, where in that photo do you see a shotgun?
May 9th, 2011
Hey! I called shotgun! Ooooh, nevermind.
May 9th, 2011
Hey PADRAIG. At least anti-gun people don’t have to worry about a 5 year old shooting his 3 year old brother because the pro-gun idiot was too stupid to lock-up his gun.
May 9th, 2011
If I see something like this in Wal-Mart, I’m yelling “HE’S GOT A GUN!!!” and running out.
May 9th, 2011
That is not a shotgun, btw.
May 9th, 2011
Except that Lockheed Martin is located in Fort Worth where almost all of our (U.S.) fighter jets are made. It has actually been discussed as a possible terrorist attack site.
May 9th, 2011
Walmart brings in the big guns to enforce the “20 Items or Less” checkout lane.
May 9th, 2011
Thats not a shotgun, that is a G3, 20 rounds 7.56 nato. basically a bastard child of the mp5 from hk.
May 9th, 2011
Someone is liking “Call of Duty” a bit too much 0 _ o( lol)
May 9th, 2011
This is Texas. People would be alarmed if a customer(law enforcement or not) did NOT carry a gun into the store.
May 9th, 2011
Make my day, WalCreature.
May 9th, 2011
I believe Texas has an “in plain sight” law whereby anyone can carry a gun (of certain size or calibur) as long as it is in plain sight. This is probably why the other folks are not concerned about this guy.
May 9th, 2011
must have been black friday
May 9th, 2011
He’s not law enforcement… they don’t wear BDUs. And while his BDUs are current generation the belt and ditty bags are aftermarket to hold clips for the weapon and the boots are not military issue. Also the shotgun is a Vepr12 which is a Russian gun… not issued to any American military branch. While some law enforcement may buy these the would not wear BDUs.
He’s a gun nut or militia type.
May 9th, 2011
If I could take a shotgun into Walmart, I would rather do that than leave it in my car/truck for some twat to steal and run around the parking lot with.
May 9th, 2011
That’s just all kinds of hot. For real. Thank you for your service, sir.
May 9th, 2011
“I hate tree hugging, anti-gun people. He appears to be some form of Law Enforcement and I would like to think even the completely anti-gun idiots would like to see tuebLaw Enforcement armed to protect the anti-gun people.”
I am not one of those people you “hate”, but my only issue is what the hell is in this picture that tells you he is of ANY kind of law enforcement?
fatigues and a gun? Ok… I’mma come to your home w/ my AR dressed in camo fatigues and we’ll see if you greet me with a ‘How do you do Officer’. Don’t be argumentative for the sake of being argumentative, it makes you no better than the tree huggers.
Now this is only based on assumption, maybe the rules in Texas are different, but I’m pretty sure every Law Enforcement agency has rules about carrying weapons in a non-official capacity. If a cop is carrying a rifle of shotgun, but suddenly has the need to buy Juicy Fruit at Walmart, they have to secure the weapon (i.e. PUT IT AWAY) first, not walk into a crowded store with it hanging off your hip.
Once again, I’m not ANTI-GUN at all, far from it… but let’s not take a stupid picture and make something more out of it or into something political for no reason. If this guy is a cop, then I’m the freaking President of the United States.
May 9th, 2011
I was a tad surprised to see a weapon of that size walking around in a WalMart, but then I saw it was from Texas, and then it just became run-of-the-mill. Heh.
I think I like the “in plain sight” laws in Texas better than the concealed carry laws here in SC. While it is technically lawful for me to carry my AK-47 around town here in SC, I get the feeling that two dozen cops would surround me if I tried to take it into WalMart.
But all things considered, I’d rather see who is armed and who is not. It’s better for my peace of mind.
May 9th, 2011
Hmmm. I don’t think it’s Texas. I think it’s Mexico maybe. That’s not a shotgun, it looks more like an HK G3 in .308. I’m pretty sure that’s what the Mexican military/law enforcement carry.
May 9th, 2011
God bless Texas…and the second amendment!
May 9th, 2011
Actually, I get funny looks from the guys in the gun store when I bring my AK in. Hehe. I can only imagine the reaction I’d get taking it anywhere else.
May 9th, 2011
Open carry of a firearm in Texas is currently illegal. Not sure where people get these ideas from.
May 9th, 2011
Sorry, not a G3, not a shotgun. That’s a FAL.
May 9th, 2011
It is not true.. not everything in Texas is bigger. This is someone who wanted compensation for something!! hmmmm… look in front of the gun I better you hes lucky to be carrying a bb.
May 9th, 2011
@ BEAVIS…
you are an idiot! How does Calling FAL sound?!
You tool!
May 9th, 2011
Thinking this guy has seen your website and is just trying to be prepared for some of the creatures he may encounter.
May 9th, 2011
That is OBVIOUSLY a glock guys, geez.
May 9th, 2011
that’s an FAL and that dude is a tier 0 open carry operator of the most moronic degree
May 9th, 2011
Hey Rob, pro-gun people don’t worry about that scenario either. It’s the anti-gun people trying to become a pro-gun person and they’re too dumb to know what the hell to do that worry about that scenario
May 9th, 2011
He just came back from a rough day at the airsoft field, and he all he wants is to pick up some hot pockets before heading back to mom’s basement.
May 9th, 2011
I’m not worried about the guy with the gun in open view,I’m more worried about your kids texting while operating the car.
May 9th, 2011
This is a G3, and has anyone considered the fact border patrol sometimes wears acu uniforms with plate carriers and black boots?
May 9th, 2011
Law enforcement or not… whoever took this picture was either very brave or very stupid!
May 9th, 2011
Nothing say’s “Don’t cut in front of Me bitch!” like packing heat.
May 9th, 2011
I don’t have any opinion on the gun issue, I’m just so glad I don’t live in Texas.
May 9th, 2011
regardless of the type of gun this guy looks like a jackass carrying that thing in walmart.
May 9th, 2011
Shotgun?!
Thats a rifle. pew pew!!!
May 9th, 2011
@Sugar: We here are also glad you don’t.
May 9th, 2011
@MATTHEW M. SMITH
Darn Matthew, I always thought you were so funny. Oh well, guess it’s a win-win for both of us.
May 9th, 2011
First of all, yes that is a shot gun but not from Texas. Texas has in plain sight law but its with PISTOLS! I’m sorry, look again that is not a pistol baby and I wouldn’t mind having one of those on my wall accessible able to grab for protection.
Also he is probably in Mexico dealing with border control, so kill a Mexi with that thing for passing our borders well, they should know better by now. Especially if this guy is walking around walmart giving his fair warning while buying his goods.
May 9th, 2011
Show off….somebody look at him..bet he thinks he is the hottest guy in WM..
May 9th, 2011
My brother is a cop…he can take his gun where he goes, with VERY few exceptions (such as federal buildings). Even when he’s not ‘on duty’. As a law officer and former American Soldier, if he sees trouble he’s not gonna back away because ‘he’s off duty and it’s not his turn’. As far as I know he hasn’t taken his weapon into walmart…however, should he feel the sudden urge to do so he is within his legal right to do so.
Also, since we don’t know the circumstances behind the gentlemen being in walmart armed to the hilt, there is no telling why he feels so much safer with that thing slung over his shoulder.
I suppose the chance of a robbery are slightly decreased, however.
May 9th, 2011
I have carried a holstered pistol into a store before and had no problem. If I present myself as a citizen just there to pay money for services everything is cool. I do not go around in BDUS or any uniform. I am just a guy that exercises his second amendment right to protect myself with a firearm.
I am properly trained and certified to handle pistols and shotguns and I carry. Now which one would you rather have beside you in a potentially deadly situation? Armed or unarmed?
May 9th, 2011
“A well regulated militia, being necessary to keep the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.” US CONSTITUTION, Amendment 2.
Opinions mean nothing.
May 9th, 2011
That’s a Saiga 12ga . You can tell by the AK style stamped receiver. And if those mag pouches are full, he’s got about 100 rounds on him.
Obviously making a statement.
May 9th, 2011
i have to agree and say this was taken in Mexico, not Texas.
May 9th, 2011
…and I don’t think this is funn either.
May 9th, 2011
Army guy goes to the store and he gets some army stuff.
May 9th, 2011
Guns shmuns, it looks one of his ass cheek implants had a blowout.
May 9th, 2011
Who cares what it is. Its pretty f-in funny to see a firearm of that size, attached to anyones hip.
May 9th, 2011
Its not a shotgun or an HK g3 it a Fn Fal with a Paratrooper folding stock. Not what I would carry around walmart, The thing weighs 10 pounds loaded.
May 9th, 2011
Rather deal with heal than protesters screaming stupid chants.
May 9th, 2011
At least you can see his gun. Here in Arizona anyone can pack a gun concealed. =) Yet another reason AZ>TX
May 9th, 2011
That IS NOT a saiga shotgun,it is a FAL.
May 9th, 2011
Not a guy in the military, this is a civilian working for the military. If you are going to go out in all your gear at least have the decency to match your ACU top and bottom. Also, the rifle should NOT be on your person in a public place OFF BASE. Also, army guys don’t wear the black boots anymore, and the rifle is not standard issue, therefore, this is a civi. He really should lose his job over this, should’ve gotten his name tape in pic.
May 9th, 2011
I’m not anti-gun at all, but it’s a bit much for Walmart. Coulda left it in the truck/Hummer/helicopter but thats ok.
May 9th, 2011
It’s not a G3, look at the size of the magazine… too big for .308 or .223 ammo. It is a shotgun, but not a FAL or Saiga. Saiga is close but the bottom of the receiver where the mag is inserted is straight on a Saiga. The angle on this makes it a Vepr12 which is based on Saiga but comes with the shorter barrel and folding stock standard. And anyone who thinks it or a G3 is based on a HK MP5 is an idiot. An MP5 is 21 inches long, not even the length of most men’s thigh.
May 9th, 2011
@Reb
First off, find yourself a sense of humor the next time you visit your local Walmart. Secondly, no I don’t believe that walmart is” crime-proof”, but I also don’t see a reason to carry that sort of artillary in a business. Unless, of course, they opened a new Walmart in downtown Baghdad.
May 9th, 2011
Might have helped if the person who took this picture had backed up a bit and given us a full view of this guy.
BTW, I live in a state where I can carry concealed or openly and I choose concealed because I prefer to not attract unwanted attention. There are way too many people who freak completely out at the sight of a gun on anyone but LEOs or military.
May 9th, 2011
definately an fal…look at the front sight. The g3 has a round hood over the front sight….duh
May 9th, 2011
Reb,
They get it from their favorite MSNBC and Comedy Central shows that spout off about Texas without *actually* fact-checking because they wouldn’t know real journalism if it walked up and spit in their faces. So you’re left with a generation of neoliberal twenty-somethings going, “bu-bu-but Jon Stewart said so! I even memorized it so that I could repeat it! That makes me smarter than you! Waaaaah!”
Below the border? This may be Mexico, but you’ve labeled it as Texas, PoW. Did you fall asleep in 1845? And by the way, considering that Texas is home to both major oil fields, military bases, and munitions depots, I DO believe they would have something to worry about during a terrorist attack. Research is your friend, it saves you from looking like an idiot.
Hugs and Kisses and pink, sparkly NRA stickers!
May 9th, 2011
He is a highschool teacher !!
May 9th, 2011
A second look at the picture tells me he is just another guy, just got out of training for the day, and had to meet his wife at the store. Well as I would do…hop off the Duce and a half and start pushing the cart. He is probably just waiting to get to the sample hander outer person for some sort of food to eat tiding him over till dinner. Just another person living his life the best he can do. I do like the pic.
May 9th, 2011
Hes gonna buy bullets so he can find Bin Landen
May 9th, 2011
he figured he`d go to walmart and get him a bride somehow,,,,,,,still did`nt work,,mmmmmmmm
May 10th, 2011
A cop leaving his weapon in the car would be negligence.
May 10th, 2011
A more current title:
Hobo with a shotgun
May 10th, 2011
To the idiots saying its a G3, you a wrong. It’s a FAL, period.
May 10th, 2011
As current Active duty Army, I can tell you that the person pictured is not law enforcement nor military. The vest he is wearing is not a vest that is issued by any agency or department. It looks like an off the shelf vest with trauma plates but not a kevlar base.
He is also wearing the ACU uniform pattern, which is the Army uniform, with black leather boots. Currently, no other agency is authorized to use the ACU and the Army wears it with tan suede boots.
My guess? He is a militia nut that has decided he is to protect the citizens at all times.
There is nothing wrong with owning weapons responsibly. I own several myself. However, you nust question the person that decides he needs an assault rifle to make a trip to the store.
But, it is Texas. I really wish they would just secede from the union already.
May 10th, 2011
Ha, dude must have a tiny penis.
May 10th, 2011
Taking open carry a little bit to far….
May 10th, 2011
I’ve got a shotgun!
May 10th, 2011
Chuck Norris????
May 10th, 2011
Had a friend that went to wally-world when they sold guns to buy a shotgun for his boy for Christmas. After the sale, the clerk asked if there was anything else they needed. “Yeah, we need a box of shells & two ski masks”. They were escorted out by security.
May 10th, 2011
This is TX and as the song says “Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition”.
May 10th, 2011
For those of you who don’t know, there are quite a few military bases in Texas. Who’s to say this isn’t by a base and he had just got done with training. Obviously it is not a shotgun and I won’t claim to know what kind of rifle it is just that it IS a rifle. Now he obviously still has his helmet, kevlar, and the rest of his gear on soooo. Captain Obvious says he is a soldier fresh out of training or duty ofr the day and God Bless him and all those just like him for protecting all these dumbasses!
May 10th, 2011
@johnnydrama
Good point. Don’t worry about the left wing, tree-hugging gun-haters. They’ll just run and hide behind a tree.
May 10th, 2011
#1 It’s an FN FAL
#2 If in Texas there is no open carry of pistols. Only long guns.
#3 A right not exercised is a right lost.
#4 It is impossible to take open carry “too far”
#5 To the idiot that thinks anyone can conceal legally in AZ check the laws. It’s simply not true.
#6 If you think a state should secede simply because you don’t agree with the laws then maybe YOU are the one who should leave!
May 10th, 2011
He’s in the Army. If you are on duty, you technically can’t be without your rifle. We were told to have it no more than an arms length away. Just FYI. I find it offensive that you would include a picture of a soldier on here.
May 10th, 2011
My guess is that he’s Ejercito Mexicano. The camouflage pattern of his BDUs does not match that worn by any branch of the US Armed Forces. The H&K G3 rifle, in addition to not being US issue, also rules out Canada because they too are equipped with M-16s — or at least a Canadian-made version. And again the camouflage does not resemble CADPAT. Also Mexican soldiers out and about in full combat gear is not an uncommon sight in Mexico.
May 10th, 2011
The only potential wrong in this pic is if this guy is using a Century G1 FAL builds.
May 10th, 2011
While it might be a bit overkill it is a constitutionally protected right and as such I have no issue with it. It’s that whole right to keep and BARE arms thing known as the second amendment that people keep trying to kill.
May 10th, 2011
WOW! Texas…still like the old west. Ya gotta love it. If this guy went into a Walmart in NY state, people would be runnin’ streamin’ and sh*tin’ themselves.
May 11th, 2011
@Robert M
#1 It’s an FN FAL—–Check
#2 If in Texas there is no open carry of pistols. Only long guns.—-Check
#3 A right not exercised is a right lost.—-Amen
#4 It is impossible to take open carry “too far”—EH, “going to walmart babe, taking the BAR with me” Too far I would say.
#5 To the idiot that thinks anyone can conceal legally in AZ check the laws. It’s simply not true.—-Robert, check your facts, ANY legal citezen , that is allowed by law to own a handgun, CAN carry concealed without permit.
#6 If you think a state should secede simply because you don’t agree with the laws then maybe YOU are the one who should leave!—–Amen
May 11th, 2011
@EricInTexas
That’s not a bdu he is wearing its called an acu and he has all the right to be carrying that gun. I believe it called the 2nd Amendment.
May 11th, 2011
OMG!!
A gun!!
A black gun!!
Watch out it will attack someone!!
Ain’t no shotgun either…
Cripes they have no clue..
Hoplophobes and anti gunners so entertaining……
Now I have tried and tried to get my guns to attack on command..
Wonder if this dude has any better luck then I do?
May 11th, 2011
“SEAL Team 6 needed to get some ammo and the latest Miley Cyrus CD for the flight.
May 11th, 2011
Im sorry but thats not a bdu he is wearing its called an acu and the has all the right to have that “gun” (rifle) with him. Its called the 2nd Amendment.
May 12th, 2011
NOT HK G3,
That’s an FN FAL .308 battle rifle cuz.
May 12th, 2011
take a look at the fal, its airsoft. the bolt doesnt look right and how the handgaurds meet the receivers
May 12th, 2011
Rambo First Blood, Part 4 – Escape From Wal-mart
May 12th, 2011
He apparently raised no ruckus for having the firearm (FAL, G3, whatever). No worries.
Recently in Burlington, MA a mall was on lockdown for several hours while police searched for a man with a “shotgun” that turned out to be an UMBRELLA!
May 12th, 2011
If I could wear a gun anywhere it would BE Walmart!
May 13th, 2011
Tea Party and Proud
May 13th, 2011
That’s the FAL, I thought it was the AA12 at first, but…. Still FTW.
May 15th, 2011
@Clarity –
1) The uniform and boots are not appropriate. Desert boots with ACU. Also, rolling the sleeves is not authorized in the ACU.
2) The weapon of a Soldier belongs to the US Government and does not go home with the Soldier. They must turn weapons into the arms room at the end of the day. Also, that is not a weapon issued by the US Army.
3) The vest is not issued by the Army. Yes, the uniform is Army.
4) There is no ballistic helmet pictured. Just some ammo pouches.
SOURCE: Being in the Army for 13 years!
May 16th, 2011
Romerez! We’re Oscar Mier!
May 16th, 2011
1st as said many a time, it’s an FAL, not a shotty, not a G3 And it’s a Paratrooper version which are more expensive. Quality ones are about $2000 USD +/-
2nd He could be Law Enforcement (I doubt it but a possibility) and many Law Enforcement Agencies allow personal rifles, a few allow non-typical rifles and carbines like G3s, M14s and FALs, these usually have rural ares in which they patrol so .308/7.62x51mm NATO chambered weapons are found.
3rd He ain’t military, clearly not currently in. May be a vet but who knows. Either way he’s exercising a right, not necessarily a wise choice but thank God he has that choice.
May 16th, 2011
What’s with the silencer on the shotgun??? murder much?
May 17th, 2011
That’s not a “silencer”, it’s a muzzle. More of a flash supressor.
And it’s not a shotgun.
May 17th, 2011
Probably Mexican Para-military Police as that is the style uniform they use. The rifle would be correct as well since they use obsolete stuff like M1 Carbines, “bird cage” M-16s and of course FALs.
So I’m guessing that the tag is wrong and this is a Wal-Mart in Mexico. If the pic was better we could verify that from the merch.
May 18th, 2011
@8bithero-
1) Not only Army wears Acu’s, other services that wear them actually wear a darker suede boot, and it is authorized.
2) He is obviously not military but he could possibly be border patrol.
3) that is a military weapon and could very well be from a military arms room, then again it could very well be from his own room.
4) That is definetly a military issued vest, most people ie: Military police wear it under their ACU tops.
5) SRT ( Army Swat) they sometimes wear their bullet proof vest’s on the outside of their uniforms for quicker reaction situations, however that man is not SRT.
6) those pouches on his back should be a direct give away that he is not in the Army at all, they quit issuing that stuff a couple of years ago. Once again it is Texas and he is probably border patrol. These are the things we do with the things we no longer use.
7) Regardless of your 13 years in the Army you obviously do not know everything! Research before you speak!!!!!
May 19th, 2011
Hmmm looks like an FN FAL. Must be Policia Federal in Mexico.
May 19th, 2011
Just another redneck playin’ Army.
May 19th, 2011
That is NOT a Shotgun, Noe is it a G3 NOR is it a Vepr. That is an FAL-SA58 Rifle. & He’s is neither Law Enforcement nor Military.
Those appear to be the Army BDU’s, but they aren’t allowed to roll their sleeves & he probably picked up a look alike pair at the local Army-Navy Store. Also, those magazine holders he has strapped to the “utility” belt are from the Vietnam era & they don’t issue those any more. Also, the Army doesn’t wear black boots any more & that is not the FLAK jacket that is issued.
Along with the fact that they cannot take their weapons off base & into town. & I’m pretty sure that the military doesn’t issue FAL’s. SF maybe.
No self respecting Marine, Soldier, Sailor or Airman would waltz around town flaunting their personal rifle like that.
THAT, is just another Red-Neck-Poser-Wannabe that NEVER had the balls to join the Military. Makes Texas look bad.
May 23rd, 2011
I don’t care if the person’s from the Mexican anti-drug control police, the US Army, or even the paramilitary forces.
There’s not much reason for one to go into a civilian setting armed to the teeth-unless one is getting so macho that they have to prove their balls by displaying what firepower they have. Whether or not it’s even legal is besides the question.
Common sense says that showing off the personal armory is just playing “Rambo” in big guy clothes.
I’d take a guess he’s just been to the latest meeting of “let’s arm ourselves against everyone” and picking up a six pack and some chips.
Scare the locals and the illegals. Great job at defending this country!
May 24th, 2011
If you can’t lock it up you have to take it with you. The fn para he’s carrying is an expensive rifle (over 2k). Maybe he felt it was’nt safe in his car, and was in a hurry to get to a training class. who knows.
btw: I think thats german camo he’s wearing.
May 24th, 2011
He’s obviously a military soldier. In northern mexico (where the drug cartels are most prominent) is also the area where american brands are also most common like wal-mart. Fully decked out soldeirs in northern mexico doing normal things are as common as most heavy war zones. The government purposely moves the soldiers out of their home state to help stop corruption, so the soldier need to buy essentials often.
It scared the shit out of me when i was at the mexican version of wal-greens and 4 war vehicles (just like the ones from iraq) all of them pilled up with soldiers pulls up to the parking lot.
May 26th, 2011
Also with the mexican soldiers because gunfire can happen anywhere ( i mean literally anywhere, the drug cartels have no shame, people leave as soon as possible when they see a soldier because you never know if they are just doing something normal of following a lead on someone and about to have a shoot off) they carry their arms everywhere. you cant afford to let your guard down, many mexican police have started to use ski masks at work. soldier are never off work though.
May 26th, 2011
He’s army and fully decked out for combat. Shesh… probably his last chance to shop at Walmart before going into the field. And knowing the army, the rifle isn’t even loaded.
May 26th, 2011
ummmmm….is it actually legal to walk around like that? I’m in Australia and we sure as hell aren’t allowed to it.
just wondered….
May 31st, 2011
I think I saw this guy at my veterinary clinic!!
May 31st, 2011
“Hey PADRAIG. At least anti-gun people don’t have to worry about a 5 year old shooting his 3 year old brother because the pro-gun idiot was too stupid to lock-up his gun.”
I grew up around guns, own alot of them myself and the im my community the kids are raised at a young age how to handle guns and the does and donts…. dont spead this bullshit, my 5 year old brother is probally a better shot then you and can show you where all the safety features are for everyone of the weapons he has ever used….
The gentalman in this picture in of malitia type and or voulinteer boarder patrol…. its not BDU its ACU….
June 18th, 2011
the photographer may be from texas……but pic is probably taken in mexico.
I was in jaurez 2 months ago, was at a large walmart type store and saw several mex military there…..full fatigues including battle helmets and carrying serious firepower……other shoppers paid no attention to them…..as if its normal.
June 20th, 2011
If my calculations are correct, his penis measures about .001″ To be certain, we would need to see the oversized-4×4 that he drives.
June 22nd, 2011
Texas isnt an open carry state unfortunately. either this guy is law enforcement or he’s breaking texas state law. and I doubt the guy is a police officer.
I never heard of any swat or SRT guys shopping at walmart in full battle rattle or who would even be using 80′s gear over ACUPAT.
I dont think they’d be carrying FAL rifles either…

This is actually at the Walmart in Ciudad Juarez. The man with the rifle, which is an FN FAL, is actually a bank guard. It is not unusual in Mexico for bank or dollar exchange guards to wear BDU and to be armed with either assault rifles or sub machine guns. Many dollar exchanges are located either inside or at the entrance of Wamart stores. Private security personnel usually carry older design weapons such as this FAL, M1 Carbines, Mendoza sub machine guns, and Uzi SMG. Military, paramilitary and police units would use HK G3, M4, or Galil assault rifles, and the camo pattern would be different.

@DOUGIE
If you’re going to talk like you know what you’re talking about, make sure you have at LEAST one correct fact.
It’s not a G3, it’s a FAL.
It’s not 7.56, it’s 7.62.
And it’s not the bastard child of an MP5, considering the G3 had been around for about 2 years before the MP5 was produced. And about a decade before it was even designed.
Idiot.

Does that have a shoulder thing that goes up?

Para-FAL for the ultimate sexy win. The only thing that could make this better is bacon.
FUAROCK.

he is def. NOT law enforcement ACU’S with black boots O_o blue vest of some kind, thats a para FAL hence the folding stock and shorter than the standard 21″ barrel. BTW the G-3 is not a bastard child of the MP5 it was designed after the Cetme, and the MP5 came much later.

Great to see those that excercise their rights. He is lucky some idiot cop didn’t shoot him when he exited the store.

- “Thats not a shotgun, that is a G3, 20 rounds 7.56 nato. basically a bastard child of the mp5 from hk.”
LOL! You’re an idiot.

- “Texas isnt an open carry state unfortunately. either this guy is law enforcement or he’s breaking texas state law. and I doubt the guy is a police officer.”
1) This was in Mexico, not Texas.
2) Open carry of long guns is legal in Texas. Only open carry of handguns is restricted.

Funny how US gun lovers don’t even know their own laws.
In Texas you may NOT open carry a handgun.
Get it?
HANDgun.
There is NO law against open carry of rifles! Actually texas has no laws dealing with rifles or long-barreled firearms at all. So this guy is actually using a legal loophole.
Texas laws are the reason why he carrys a friggin battle rifle in public, instead of your normal Glock.
And yes, its a FN FAL. Funny that he did not fold the stock as it clearly hinders him.
Wants to be prepped just in case the UNs black copters are coming I guess.
And yes, I’m from Germany and I think guns for everybody is not a good idea.
But you have your own cleaning accident culture, none of my business.

How about ya’ll shut the F**k up?? He’s military, judging by his ACU’s and as a soldier, you can’t ever be too careful, especially on the mexican border because of how dangerous it’s gotten with all the crazy Mexicans trying to get into the US to suck up all the government’s money for their 18+ kids. Nevermind us AMERICAN CITIZENS who are 9xs outa 10 starving more because THEY use up all our money and jobs. And, as a soldier myself, if I was allowed to carry my weapon with me at all times, I would.
