Unfortunately, the video isn’t very clear on the real impact of the government taking control of the internet. The real danger is that it’s one more step of our government taking over control of our lives and taking away more of our freedoms. It will be a masive parental control with the government deciding what we can and can’t do. We’ve already allowed the Obama administration to destroy our constitution and begin turning this country into a dictatorship through our indifferance. We sit back and say, “I can’t worry about that stuff because I’m just trying to survive this economy.” Well, the reason our economy is so bad is because the easiest way to control people and do what you want, without opposition, is to give them something more important to worry about. what’s more important to us than not knowing if we can put food on the table or keep a roof over our heads? We are the only ones who can stop our government from destroying our country by turning the tables on them. Hit the polititians in their wallets and make them worry about having a job and benifits. Vote them out of office, petition them out of a job, etc. Use their own tactics to bring them back into line and stop letting the few make decisions without question. I agree with the need for controles on the internet. It’s a young business and has the potential for harm, as denonstrated by all the hackers and malware, but put the responsibility on the companies to monitor it and give them the teeth to enforce the proper use. Quit giving your power away to people who don’t care what happens to us as long as their bank accounts keep getting fatter. In fact, the best way to fight all this injustice is with the very tool the government wants to take over – the internet. get the word out before we lose our voice completely.

The danger here is that in the name of “protection”, Washington is taking away another tiny bit of our freedom. That’s the way they have always done it, chipping away a little here and a little there, and this is no different. If we allow this bill to pass, it won’t be long before the law is expanded and rewritten to further erode what we can see, hear, and share. But it will also open the door to more invasion of our privacy, and that is another scary threat. Look around… ANYTHING Washington controls gets screwed up!

The government is trying to control all of you not only should we kick them out of office we should run ourselves. If everyone fought for their freedom their wouldn’t be a government left I can quarantee it. These satanists are all apart of a secret society called the illuminati, and freemasonry. We have been lied to everything they do is for their own benefit not ours. They want a new world order to control people to the point you will have no privacy, and microchips in your body. If you try to remove them after you have accepted them you will be killed.

PIPA and SOPA have been defeated, but a new piece of legislation is being pushed through congress that effectively contains many of the same tenants as PIPA and SOPA.
I fully support this legislation. Companies are perpetual, soulless entities that exist for one and only one reason: to make as much money as possible by whatever means necessary–ethical or not. They are inherently evil, almost by their very definition. Every law on the books that regulates companies exists because one or more companies engaged in the very unethical behavior banned by the laws! PIPA and SOPA wouldn’t have even been conceived of if there wasn’t already a rampant problem with theft of intellectual property.
If laws that empower government to clamp down on the abuse of intellectual property stifles the creation of startups whose fundamental principles rely on the theft of that IP in order to make money, I see no problem with those laws. If this is an inconvenience to people, then perhaps those people need to extract their heads form the posteriors and realize that they’re in questionable ethical territory to begin with.

What these bills will basically do is give the government access to all of your online activity. If they deem it necessary, they can have the authorities investigate your online activity anytime, without warning, with no warrant. This is a major invasion of privacy. There are other, more acceptable ways to prevent pirating. If only those certain people in the government weren’t so blind and stupid that they would be able to think of those better ways. Then again, it’s probably just selfish greed for power and money. Not to mention having access to just about everybody’s online activity could feel like a powerful narcotic to them, because of having that much power over people’s lives. And then you’ve got the hackers, and bills like this could possibly make it easier for them to get the shit they want. Identity theft would go up, because information would become easier for them to access, not to mention a whackload of people who live in the country will be pissed off at the government for this kind of crap. Seriously, government guys. Piss off, and leave alone our privacy.
