The First Loser

Congratulations! You may have placed second in your goat pageant, but you my friend have won the PoWM “Most Gangster Jacket of the Year” award! Go ahead and toss in some of that Fresh Cope; you deserve it!

I’m sure people goat him about it all the time.
October 10th, 2009
I never knew they gave out shirts with places on them, but maybe if your a redneck you get one made because a 2nd place goat is almost as good as first place but still no cigar, dam southerners when will they learn that shit don’t pass.
i know all you southerners will down thumb this i know you will, tisk tisk rednecks.
October 10th, 2009
It was probably his approach to the goat that got him the 2nd place award. someone send him a copy of the movie: Animal with Rob Schneidner and Colleen Haskell
October 10th, 2009
This one isn’t funny. So he’s proud of raising a prize goat. That’s what folks do in the country. I’d like to see YOU raise a goat.
October 10th, 2009
i got nuthin’ for this one, wait a minute . . . is that a set of shears in his hand? He must like his goats, (wink, wink, nod, nod), trimmed up nice and tight.
October 10th, 2009
Hey Tina, I’ll raise that goat alright, raise it up and put it on a spit, wait 3 hours and we have a FEAST !
October 10th, 2009
People should be GLAD other learn how to raise livestock. It is what FEEDS you.
And no, I don’t and never have, but I have respect for those who do and I’m grateful.
October 10th, 2009
id love to see what the first place winner looked like haha.
October 10th, 2009
Ya’ll should be tickled, he’s proactively covering his ass crack, and doesn’t appear to have holes in his pants. What a cool guy. Ag rules!
October 10th, 2009
This blog entry earns a 10 on the “So what?” scale. It’s a pathetically weak post, given the other entries on the site.
October 10th, 2009
Is it bad that I kind of want that jacket?
The answer is yes, yes it is.
October 10th, 2009
Com’on who did the filter on this one. The guy got it for a 4H project, if you are going to include this why not all the really lamo bumper sticker that say my kid was the preschool/grade school/middle school/ high school/reform school student of the week.
October 10th, 2009
The can of chewing tobacky in his jeans pocket complements the ensemble perfectly. I find it hard to imagine that someone went out and manufactured custom jackets for all the winners of the livestock show. They should all go to Wal*Mart for the ultimate PoWM group picture.
October 10th, 2009
Daisy’s disapointing runner-up status ultimately ruined their relationship and they sadly broke up 6 months later…… but the jacket reminds him of the good times
October 10th, 2009
Congrats to him. Its not easy work showing… and yes, I do show cows, not goats.
October 10th, 2009
Biggest gangsta jacket? not even a little funny.
October 10th, 2009
This site has officially jumped the shark.
It started out nice, making fun of outfits no person should ever wear, now it’s turned into a culture war.
To bad, it was fun while it lasted.
October 10th, 2009
C’mon. This man is helping to feed the world. He’s neat, clean, & hard working. That he won 2nd place in the fastest growning livestock commodity in America is great. Don’t nobody knock this guy. i’m only surprised that he has possibly left his goat herd unattended, since goat rustling is the largest agricultural crime in our state. (Aside from stealing fertilizer to make meth)
October 10th, 2009
@s3xt0y
Oklahomans aren’t southerners. I grew up in Oklahoma thinking I was a southerner. Then I went to college in Arkansas and met real southerners from AL, GA, MS, TN, etc. Oklahoma is nothing like that. (No offense to southerners.)
Yes there are rednecks in OK, but I’ve met rednecks from NY, OH, and PA.
As for the picture, it’s not funny. Not because I’m from OK nor because I raise livestock. (The only animal I’ve raised was a Black Lab.) It’s just not crazy or shocking like most of the other pics on here. They give these jackets out all the time and probably most every state.
Lucky Charms is way better. You expect a redneck to wear a goat jacket. You don’t expect a gangsta (or anyone else for that matter) to wear a Lucky Charms Jacket.
October 10th, 2009
Good for him. I don’t see anything offensive about his shirt. He’s proud of what he’s done probably and the shirt was free. My motto is, “If it’s for freeee, it’s for meeee!”
The blonde up there in front of him in line is kind of hot. I’d do her.
October 10th, 2009

I hate to tell you, but one of the biggest rednecks I’ve ever met was from Pennsylvania. I don’t call all folks from PA rednecks, so lay off of us Southerners.
October 10th, 2009
Really? This guy is totally cowboy coordinated and you try to pimp him for the most gangster jacket award? Lame! Try again Okie
October 10th, 2009
I’m number two!, I’m number two! Dude, if you’re not first you’re last!
October 10th, 2009
Well this one isn’t even funny! No comparison what so ever to pink furry spider coat….He is in ag and raised a prize goat that’s not funny that’s what people do and it takes a lot of commitment and hard work whoever took this picture “thinking” it was funny is an idiot!
October 10th, 2009
Not funny
October 10th, 2009
C’mon people, now your just being mean and ugly
October 10th, 2009
Wow, his wife only got 2nd place? The sex must be good though.
October 10th, 2009
Looks like something he won in Ag class back in seventh grade and can’t let go of.. that jacket is totally too small for him.
October 10th, 2009
Question is who’s that hottie at the check out in the shorts..
October 10th, 2009
2nd place ….. only 2 goats were entered
October 10th, 2009
Not sure you folks know just how hot a commodity the goat is these days. It’s one of the most lucrative livestock out there.
With that said, how about that Skoal can?
October 10th, 2009

Oh, and webmaster: Why can I post from Windows IE but not Linux Firefox?
October 10th, 2009
Would the poster happen to have any more pics of the blonde milf at the head the line?
October 10th, 2009
Would the original poster happen to have any more pics of the blonde milf up ahead of the goat herder?
October 10th, 2009
At first this site was funny and was capturing the “unusual”. Lately it’s become very elitist and no longer funny. I’m no longer laughing with you.
I hope the same big media outlets that first gave this site buzz do a follow-up stories to show what a little fame can do for someone. Andy Warhol was right, and this site’s 15 minutes is up.
October 10th, 2009
seriously there is nothing or wrong wrong with this picture. i’m almost afraid to shop at walmart now and end up on this site. if i could afford to shop at better stores for better clothes, i’d not ever go to wally world!!! its a shame you need to make fun of your customers lining your pockets!!!
October 10th, 2009
Atleast the sheep was spared.
October 10th, 2009
Saturday date night! Love me some goat roper.
October 10th, 2009
Later that night, ShiLeena had herself a goat manwich.
October 10th, 2009
Did anyone else notice the Skoal in his pocket? That just adds to his southern charm.
October 10th, 2009
the pictures are getting pathetic again…i wouldn’t have given this guy a second glance if i saw him in walmart. someone was looking hard to find something to post. this isn’t a good picture for POW. he as a goat and second place on his shirt….big deal!
October 10th, 2009
This one isn’t very funny…I see people wearing these all the time. In fact, I showed goats in high school and I always wanted to get one of these jackets!
October 10th, 2009
Think he puts in a dip before he gets behind one of them goats?
October 10th, 2009
I am just so relieved his behind isn’t showing!! More power to him for his second place finish. But nothing nasty is showing!!!! WOOHOO
October 10th, 2009
Oh not cool! Fuzzy Spider totally had my vote!
Even lucky charms beat out this guy!!!!
October 10th, 2009
what did you expect from Oklahoma??
October 10th, 2009
It’s such a classic! Love it!!!!!
October 10th, 2009
Bet he has a goat tee. Get it? Gotee.
October 10th, 2009
Why is this on here? I live in Oklahoma. And why would anyone say that Oklahoma is “southern”? We get that stereotype ALL THE TIME, but really it just depends where you go. Not many farms at all where I live. No rednecks either. Not big cities, but cities all the same. Funny thing is he has dip in his pocket
October 10th, 2009
awww i think thats a sweet shirt. .
October 10th, 2009
The picture is classic and provides it’s own punchline with the “second place”. I thought the Politically Correct bullshit peaked in the 90′s ? Comedy is 90 % poking fun at our own behavior and others….it always has been, watch an old Bob Hope movie, making fun of people is his whole style, it’s not a new thing. It’s just a matter fo time till someone drops the “You shouldn’t make fun of this person because he has a rare disorder comment”. If somone is fat they actually have STLFBD…….Skin Too Large For Bones Disease…..those posts are unintentionally funny. The PC bullshit has overtaken us. People naturally make fun of other people, it’s probably takes up about 70 % of our lives, lol. And most people find other people poking fun at them hilarious, we all do it, sit around and make fun of each other, I would love to have my pic on here and read the comments, it would be hilarious !!!
October 10th, 2009
Is that a picture of his girlfriend on the back of his jacket?
October 10th, 2009
WTF!, too bad PoWM has turned into the CraigsList “Rants-n-Raves” section, ’cause I really liked it while it lasted. The quality of the content was 100% for the 1st month and has deteriorated ever since.
Are we making fun of old people and gas station attendents as well?
October 10th, 2009
To the wankers who use mom’s money to run this site…your captions and pics are getting lame. The guy in the pic does something productive at least; and as others have mentioned, guys like this raise livestock so that people like us can eat. Unlike the site mods, they don’t sit around all day thinking of crappy captions in the hope of making a quick buck with dodgy advertisements, seemingly trying to justify their actions with barely noticeable charity links
October 10th, 2009
The “goat” on his shirt is actually “G.O.A.T.”, as in “Greatest Of All Time.”
October 10th, 2009
Take this from the perspective of a city person … not everyone can appreciate what goes into competitive goat competitions. For people like me, it sounds dorky … especially when a grown man advertises his accomplishment on the back of his jacket … the same way I used to post my kids’ art projects on the refrigerator.
October 10th, 2009
I’m sure Ma is proud…
October 10th, 2009
Ok, I really think this one needs to come down. Nothing wrong with this man’s attire. Gretchen Wilson thinks a Skoal ring is sexy and so do I! Well, on my husband anyways. But seriously, he is covered, his shirt isn’t offensive or stupid in any way. Take it down, please.
October 10th, 2009
Go cry in your goat milk, Tina. Jesus, what a baby.
October 10th, 2009
Just to clarify, this guy is wearing a showmanship jacket. This means that he was very good at showing the animals, which is very competitive. If it was based on the goat it would say Market Goat. For people who show livestock, getting ranked in showmanship is a huge deal, because you can be going up against a lot of people.
Usually this site is funny, but this posting just shows the ignorance the average American has in regards to their food supply.
October 10th, 2009
Sorry, I do not find this funny or bizarre, but instead, juvenile.
October 10th, 2009
Lame pic someone needs fired for letting this get on the site.
October 11th, 2009
My guess is, skoal ring aside, that he is working a good living and providing as good a lifestyle for his family as any of us can in these days. I’ve seen him at Target and CostCo as well. Hell, I may even be him (although I quit tobacco last year to become a firefighter).
I salute the second place, for at least he competed and had the pride to show it. And I salute the first, third and fourth place as well as everyone else who participated.
Yeah, I’ve got a college degree, but that doesn’t stop me from respecting anyone of any color collar.
October 11th, 2009
I live in Oklahoma and I see no reason why this picture should be on
here…….I cringe at some of the photos esp. ones from Oklahoma!!
But this one doesn’t deserve to be one here or made fun on!!
I was with you until this one!!
October 11th, 2009
ETA:Oops I had three typo’s….sorry for the double post!!
I live in Oklahoma and I see no reason why this picture should be on

October 11th, 2009
not even a little funny
October 11th, 2009
I dont find anything wrong with this jacket. Not one bit of it is gangsta like one said Lucky Charmsa and the others are much better. They are right it is not easy showing animals of any kind.I have showed a hogs they are really hard to show.Way to go on winning 2nd place
October 11th, 2009
Honestly, I wish I had that jacket.
October 11th, 2009
NOT FUNNY! Someone was jealous of this man! If some of you lazy people had to raise your own food you would starve!!!
October 11th, 2009
I don’t see the point of this picture. So he’s a farmer and from the country most likely. Sorry but most people that live on farms wear whatever is serviceable to work on their land and aren’t going to go get dressed up to run into a walmart. Their is really nothing out of the ordinary about this guy
October 11th, 2009
The nerve of those people in flyover country – being properly dressed/proud of their accomplishments.
I agree with the other posters – you all are grasping at straws with this one. Are we going to mock the homeless next?
October 12th, 2009
As a Texan, I know there’s a million Okies that would qualify for this website. This guy, a farmer no different than any other farmer across this country, doesn’t come close to warranting his picture on here.
October 12th, 2009
Yep the public has it right on this one. It should of never been posted.
October 12th, 2009
I need to make 2 points…#1 There is nothing wrong with farming. in todays economy this guy is one of the few that can hold of his own. let those that make fun of these people starve. …..#2 quit your bitchin about his skoal! The only person he is hurting is himself. you little bitches cry and cry about 2nd hand smoke and its understandable but unless you are drinkikng out of his spit bottle his skoal is not hurting you. so shut the fuck up!
October 12th, 2009
2nd place goat! YeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaa!
Let’s celebrate with a new box of ammo!
October 12th, 2009
having raised goats cattle hogs and other assorted livestock i really dont see what you get by runninhg this guy up there with the usual trash you’ve picked up on here.would love to see how the person who posted this picture in the first place would feel in this guys home town. you show up there in baggy jeans sideways cap and gold chains hanging around your neck you would be laughed out of town. As for oklahoma being southern…
get a clue buddy its part of the south as much as Texas is . which means not at all.
October 12th, 2009
There’s absolutely no reason for this picture to be on here. And shame on the people making crass remarks about the guy.
October 12th, 2009
I’m a sixth generation ranch kid and a livestock showman for over 15 years. I proudly wear such jackets and I am sure this individual does as well. I’m pretty sure your ignorance makes you a first place loser.
October 13th, 2009
He is clean, his crack isn’t showing. I see nothing funny about this except for the fact that someone would make fun of an obviously hard working, farmer/country boy. I bet none of you who are making fun of him would wanna put your hands on him….he’d use you to mop the walmart floor and shopping cart mom wouldn’t need to drag her kid behind the shopping cart anymore!
October 13th, 2009
bleieve it or not showing livestock is really fun! i show sheep for 4-H and its a blast and you can win money for it too. im dissapointed that you think in such ways, city slicker.
October 13th, 2009
Not evan funny, if you evan knew the time and effort it takes a young person to do this project, you might understand. And by the way this young man is going to make something of himself someday!
October 13th, 2009
From now on just post the funny ones, even if it means you post less often. Don’t post this sort of thing and try to make it funny. You just look like a jerk.
October 13th, 2009
Not sure why this pic made it in here. So he won an award for goat raising and is proud of it…Why is that funny ?
October 13th, 2009
Cause its a goat and he has clothing about it and well, goats are fucking funny.
October 13th, 2009
Don’t make fun of somebody just because of his lifestyle. So he raises goats? So what. I was in 4H and FFA when I was young and I showed goats, pigs, rabbits, lambs, horses, etc.
I find this photo more insulting to anybody from the country.
You may want to do your research a little bit and look at the industry you’re making fun of. I wouldn’t mess with the guy that grows your food.
October 13th, 2009
And how dare you call him the first loser.
There could have been 80 other entrants in his class.
Do you call a Silver medalist at the Olympics the first loser?
Then again, I guess if you got 2nd place in a Marathon that warrant me permission to call you the first loser too, right?
October 13th, 2009
He’s got the ever handy can of tobabcco in his right rear pocket too! WOW!!! A Perfect stereotype!!!!
October 15th, 2009
My dad was a County Extension Agent and I was in 4-H from third grade until I graduated high school. Then, I went to Texas A&M and majored in Animal Science, with an emphasis in reproductive endocrinology. Does that make me a perverted farmer? Certainly not. I think 4-H (and FFA, for that matter) are great programs for kids and I think it’s sad more kids aren’t joining these programs. I showed sheep, cattle and pigs for nine years and I can tell you winning a showmanship class was certainly far more rewarding than winning first prize or even being named class champion. If that kid is in school, that means he’s out in the elements every morning before he even thinks about going to school and he’s out there again once school is out. He should be proud of his accomplishments and I applaud him. I can assure you I’d be wearing that jacket if I had one.
October 16th, 2009
I agree with those that posted. Raising livestock and showing them is very hard for young people. Livestock exhibitors learn responsibility. To come in second in a showmanship competition is awesome, because that is all what the young person does, not what the animal did. In case you don’t realize it, there are fewer and fewer livestock farmers in the United States as well as farmers. I’d like to know how we are going to eat, when all these farmers give up, or retire? I am very upset with this picture being on this website.
October 16th, 2009
Ok, the only thing not funny about this is that some of you are reading way to much into the picture, look at the picture scroll down move to the next page…. This is one of the funniest pics on here and I have been in 4h and FFA andwon plenty of 2nd and 3rd place showmanship and animal awards I don’t see how it has anything to do with farmers goats or the state of the nation or the fate of the world. Just have a laugh and move on 2nd place gets a trophy and a handshake. ( u should be ashamed pretending you actually care about anyone that took home a silver in anything)
October 18th, 2009
i love how everyone is insulting the POSTER for insulting the postee.
and, being from oklahoma, i see many many many of these jackets.
the only way i’d post one of these is if the jacket said
77th place.
congratulations! your live stock suck.
but seriously, he’s a country guy.
what do you expect?
he might not have cable…
October 19th, 2009
OK, this is really stupid… my little brother shows goats in the 4H and i showed cattle in FFA and to get second place in showman ship is a big deal… and it said sr. showman ship, which is the oldest group and the hardest you have all of the kids who more than likely have the most experience… and if whoever put this in here obviously has no idea the time, money, and effort that have to go into showing livestock…
October 20th, 2009
this aint right! i have personally won 2 jackets for first place with goats and sheep and im VERY proud of mine. and oklahoma isnt a southern state…i live on the coast of louisiana in the marshes. you want southern? get yo ass out in de swamp. not right to make fun of people bc of their accomplishments…damn yankees
October 22nd, 2009
ok i am in ag right now and rainsg a animal is hard work and takes a lot of time so whoever took this pic thinking it was funny well… its not now i dnt show goats i show hogs but no matter the animal it is a lot of dedication and he should be pround of wearing this and his picture should never have been taken
October 23rd, 2009
It’s funny this one is defended by so many people. I thought it was one of the truly funny posts here that goes beyond being an unabashed physical grotesquerie or someone with horrifying fashion sense . I live in a town with a county fair and livestock competitions. But if you don’t see something funny about a “second place goat” jacket, I can’t help you. That’s some funny stuff right there. I would actually wear that jacket. Subtle touches makes me think he was not tongue in cheek, though.
October 26th, 2009
I think this one is kind of mean and not funny.
November 3rd, 2009
no this isnt embarrassing…i used to raise goats…this is like a legit prize and in ffa/4h this guy would be the shit…
November 5th, 2009
There is nothing funny about this… seriously, I’m an animal science major. Do you know how many people are proud of placing in a livestock show?! Don’t criticize what you don’t understand.
November 5th, 2009
hey he did good. showing live stock is hard second place is great. i dont show goat but i show dairy.
November 6th, 2009
I agree with TINA, goat showmanship is not an easy thing, my friends. At this point in POWM, I don’t care what they wear, as long as they wear something that covers their various pendulous parts.
November 7th, 2009
Ha ha! I read all these post and ya’ll city people crack me up. Oh, and even though he’s a “First Place Loser” He probably sold his goat for a couple thousand dollars. I got 9th place with mine and still got $1,500, and it’s awesome that he got a jacket. I got a belt buckle for winning first where I come from. Oh, only white trash rednecks and rednecks with no butts show their butt cracks.
November 8th, 2009
First of all, I love how people are defending/justifying this photo…let’s just let it be what it is…hilarious!!
Second, can we all please acknowledge what is almost definitely Wintergreen SKOAL in his back pocket?!?!
November 10th, 2009
As a college educated Boer Goat Association Judge that also shows goats myself I just have to say congratulations! I can tell you from experience, this jacket wasn’t easy to win! Good for him for being proud of it! I would too! To everyone else that has their negative comments, unless you’ve ever tried showing animals much less farming, I would not mock it! Your food didn’t just arrive at the store or at McDonald’s! His jacket may make him a redneck but I’d rather be a redneck anyday and everyday than to be a thug for a lifetime!
November 24th, 2009
When you live in a state full of farms, AG/FFA wear is as much a status symbol as designer labels.
November 14th, 2010
Gosh, you city people… Sorry we aren’t all afraid of gettin dirty! Good for him! You unaware city people have no idea… As for the skoal can… boys start early down here! Plus, ts not like you can’t turn 18 while your a senior… I would like to see any of you people bashing (or whatever you would like to call it) TRY to do what he did to win that jacket!!
May 11th, 2011
I don’t see the humor in this. I’m a big city girl married to a small town boy, and regular visits to his home town have brought about some hilarious moment of cultural difference. I see nothing wrong with poking fun at either extreme.
This, however, is not an extreme. This is just a man who shows goats, and that’s not funny in the slightest.
June 4th, 2011
A goat pagent? It’s called a livestock show. -.-
I show sheep and I’m just saying this isn’t funny.
