6th Generation
I’m not sure if this qualifies as a celebrity sighting or not. Either way, this is Reina Tanaka who is a Japanese pop star as a member of the group Morning Musume. I honestly don’t know what half that really means, but maybe I’ll just use this picture as a way to gauge how cultured our fans are. Personally, the only Japanese star I follow religiously is Godzilla so I’m not going to pretend to know who she is.

It is a celebrity sighting! The girls of Hello! Project have on occasion been to Hawaii and other exotic locations for photoshoots and/or fan events. Even celebrities have to do some shopping on US soil.

Whoever said there aren’t any Americans in Asian advertisements is dead wrong. There are Americans not just in advertisements, but also in some of their music videos as well. Personally I find the Japanese are quite beautiful both physically and culturally when you aren’t too ignorant to broaden your horizons.
I am familiar with Morning Musume, but not as familiar as I am with most others. I’m more of a Gackt and Miyavi fan.

I know Morning Musume and Reina Tanaka is in fact part of the 6th generation. I can’t say I like their music, but one of my friends does. I’m more into J-rock, especially Hyde and his bands. But that’s beside the point.

J-Pop idols have a completely difrent meaning that west Idols, where sex is bounded to the music, in japan there are even fat girls how can sing the only thing it matters is that they are a good model for childrens and thay can sing, not like in america (specially here in Latino-america) where only thing it matters is that you can “touch yourself” whatching them XD …so that is why they start young, is not about sex at all, is about hard work and respect… a completelly difrent kind of Idol

REINA ROCKS!! Americans are so xenophobic and can’t even imagine a world where there are non-American pop stars, much less non-American pop stars who are WAY BETTER than their own.
I’m American and I have a great love of pop music which is why when I discovered J-pop, and Morning Musume (Momusu) I have never looked back. K-pop too, in a different way and more Western sounding, also blows away American/Western pop music.
