Voice over isn’t too bad…kinda sounds like a commercial (besides the slight snickering). She’s right….very dull and sad looking diamonds. This is what a 17 year old boy buys his 16 year old girlfriend when he “proposes” to her and they break up a few months later…but it’s not a big deal cuz it was only 80 bucks

even the woman narrating doesn’t take this shit seriously. she sounds like she’s stifling a laugh every few seconds. i’d laugh too at the thought of someone giving their partner an engagement ring from wallmart.

I am a customer service manager at a WalMart in TX. A gentleman came in the other day and needed help in the jewelry department. Not having an associate available, I went over to help him. He was “picking out something nice for his wife for their 35th anniversary.” After asking to see a number of the lovely pieces of ‘diamond’ jewelry, I strongly suggested that he get her a nice pair of gold or silver earrings. When I looked at the quality of these ‘diamonds’, I was absolutely APPALLED that WalMart even calls them diamonds. They are some of the most cloudy, grey and ugly things I have ever seen in my life. I could not live with myself if I had attempted to sell them to this very nice man.

They are catering to the recent news that marriages last 5 to 7 yrs. So why not peddle diamonds that have an expiration date?

I think the 6 month layaway plan should apply to all wedding and engagement rings purchased at Walmart, though I’m sure the divorce attorneys wouldnt like that very much.

You people are horrible. Can’t any of you imagine a poor man that wan’ts to get married to the woman he loves but he can barely afford to eat. Think about how much he hates himself for not being able to afford an expensive diamond ring for someone that he loves with all his heart. His new wife knowing that he is poor loves the ring anyway and never tells him she knows the ring is cheap. That marriage will probably last longer than a rich snobby jackass that buys an expensive Diamond ring for a spoiled little bitch. All you stuck up people think that for someone to show that they care they have to spend that much money. So instead of buying something in your price range you snobs spend way to much money and then because you can’t afford the ring and food you go on food stamps, but at least you got a quality diamond. That’s one of the biggest problems in america. People who can’t afford something get it anyway on credit and then go bankrupt

I agree with what many said, although it may not be the best piece of jewelry, sometimes that is all someone can afford. Marriages based on diamonds may never make it, but ones based on love and companionship will. I would wear a string as a ring if that’s all my fiance could afford. My husband and I don’t have expensive rings but our love is big.

Yeah guys, just because someone does not have the money to spend on an expensive ring is no reason to rag on them. If Wal Mart is selling crappy industrial grade diamonds as jewelry, then shame on them.
Unfortunately, our society believes you need to have a diamond engagement ring. And in the world of diamonds, for $100, you’re getting crap.
People that only have $100 to spend on an engagement ring or even a wedding set would do much better to go on Etsy.com to find something. You can find a nice sterling silver wedding set, or titanium, or even stainless steel. Just as pretty and shiny as silver, platinum, or gold, but way less money.
It’s the thought that counts!

Tungsten Carbide is where its at, i’m a guy & if i ever get married i’m definetly sportin a (Black) Tungsten Carbide ring on my finger, weither it has a diamond in it or what. Actually seen where more & more couples are turning too em, & most i’ve seen anyways are only a few hundred dollars -$1,000 dont think ive seen a single one cost 1,000′s of $’s, and another upside from being sleek, stylish, & sexy in my opinion is there pretty much indestructible, they dont fade, & there scratch resistent, & it takes 6,000degrees for em to melt, its same material used on space shuttles for re-entry into the atmosphere.
