Rocket Man
Alright Elton John, simmer down now. Nobody is going to believe hooking up with you in your rocket ship qualifies as joining the mile high club. NASA discontinued it’s space exploration program, maybe it’s time for you to do the same.

He takes his rocket ship to visit the wal-martians on planet Wal-mart.

The best advantage to driving this is no fat chicks would be asking for a ride. Now if a little hottie came along …
March 28th, 2012
Surely, that cannot bve street legal. If it is…..I want one.
March 28th, 2012
I don’t care what anyone says, that IS cool! I would SO ride that!
March 28th, 2012

March 28th, 2012
That is a Pulse Autocycle. No wikipedia entry exists because less than 500 were made.

George Jetson please come to the customer service counter. Your dog is peeing on the ceiling and shorting out the lights.

Duck Dodgers in the 24 and 1/2 century!!!!!!!!!!!
……oh wait a minute, it’s the 21st century!
March 28th, 2012
Bet its radar signature is tiny.
March 28th, 2012
you hafta admit it’s a bitchin’ set of wheels. C’mon, admit you think it’s cool. Course, you wouldn’t get a lot of second dates if you pulled up in this thing but, hey, there’s always a trade off in life
March 28th, 2012
Looks like someone couldn’t finish their homebuilt BD-5 as an airplane, sold it to a redneck and thar she is!
Got ‘er done!

Thank you for accepting my suggestion for removing the ratings here. Much better now! Sure Lynn S of Staten Island and some malesandalwearers don’t like the new system but consider the source hey.

I have to say that NASA did not discontinue its Space Exploration Program. Just the space shuttle program. It was to expensive building a space shuttle that can only be used once. They want to make transportation that will be reuseable and have the ability to go farther into space. Sorry for being the know it all.
March 29th, 2012
What jerk came up with this subscript???
March 29th, 2012
You kidding me??? I’d *love* to have a vehicle like that!! It stands out without being gaudy!
March 29th, 2012
I know I have seen pictures of that somewhere! It’s a bit strange yet kind of cool.
Wouldn’t want it though….
March 29th, 2012
I bet it’s gas mileage sucks!!!
March 29th, 2012
Gawd I want one. Does it come with sidewinder missiles?
March 29th, 2012
This dude lives up the road from me! lol
Yes the thing is real. Yes it works… regularly.
Have to let him know it’s on here. rofl
March 29th, 2012
@Stephen: “I bet it’s gas mileage sucks!!!” — Actually, it gets 45 MPG… better than whatever you’re driving I bet. Runs on a 1200 CC motorcycle engine.
March 29th, 2012
Don’t laugh but this vehicle would sell for $50,000.
March 29th, 2012
Come on, the issue would be I would drop another $400 on a flight suit and used pilots helmet. Then, $300 on a sound system so everytime I drove into a parking lot the Top Gun theme would play.
Imagine jumping out of that thing with a flight suit and helmet on, sunshade down. Walking into wal-e-world yellng ” I feel the need, the need for speed”. Where’s Goose…..
March 29th, 2012
I think I saw it on davis blvd by 820, he was booking down the road about 40, very cool would love to try it.
March 29th, 2012
Nice ride! oh, and its David Bowie you’re looking for, not Elton John.
March 29th, 2012
There’s one similar to this in this area. However it’s a convert-a-plane. Connect the wings, shift the transmission to the propeller and it flies. Wish I had one.
March 29th, 2012
Yup that car is in Florida…my daughter thought a plane just landed on. U.S. 19…lol
March 29th, 2012

April 3rd, 2012

April 9th, 2012
I would love to have that thing for just one week, imagine the looks you would get driving down the road.
The guy that owns it, should rent it out, bet he would make lots of money. Just too darn bad that there are not a lot more of them around.
April 10th, 2012
This guy is actually my dad’s neighbor. holy crap.
April 10th, 2012
there is a show called dream machines that was being filmed in texas where they were making a rocketship car for 50 cent……
April 11th, 2012
I see this guy driving around once in a while.
April 13th, 2012
This guy was my old neighbor, we called him rocketman. He is just an older man. His wife works at that walmart. North Richland Hills tx
April 15th, 2012
Yup, that’s a Litestar, also known as the Pulse, developed by aircraft designer Jim Bede and his cousin. A tandem-seater kind of like the older Messerschmitt KR-200, but with wheels on the sides in a delta configuration and an updated, more jet fighter inspired look. The real-world gas mileage wasn’t spectacular for a micro this size, but the claimed top speed is a bit more believable – 130 MPH or more on a claimed 85 horsepower. Not bad!
By the way, for those of you interested in great gas mileage, take a look at the Craig Vetter Fuel Economy Contest. It’s a real eye-opener. And if you like this car, give the FVT Evaro a look.
April 17th, 2012
this guy lives right off davis in NRH, TX, i see him everywhere when the weather is nice
April 17th, 2012
I took a picture of that car in Bedford last year. He drives that badboy EVERYWHERE! I grew up in awe of that car.
April 20th, 2012
I see this guy driving around North Richland Hills sometimes.
May 8th, 2012
I have seen this one all over the mid cities area. If u catch the guy walking out from the store he will even let u look at the inside pretty awesome. And its 100% street legal.
May 9th, 2012
I’m so glad other people know this guy! . This guy lives right down the road from me too, I see him pass by all the time. When I first moved a couple months ago, I turned into a four-year-old boy yelling “ROCKET CAR, YESSSSSS!”. I’m not ashamed to admit I still do that whenever I see him drive by.
May 16th, 2012
Haaaaaaaa! I know the man who drives this. He comes into my work ALL THE TIME and hes a total jerk about kids touching his car. The cool fact is it the original car from one of the early James bond movies!!
June 12th, 2012
