Puffy dress sleeves are out ..there are a lot of cute cloths for skinny girls. You don’t need a lot of money…hippie dresses and flats are great daytime wear….goodwill has great stuff. go shopping!

I think this guy should be who he wants and not worry about what others think. I also find that his right to privacy should not be invaded by having a bunch of people sit and stare and worse yet, follow him around and video tape him. He is expressing himself and even in the face of adversity he is daring to be himself! That is to be commended NOT made fun of.

My feet are killing me just watching this video. Besides that, what is the purpose of overdressing to deliver the papers? There’s no need to wear your Sunday-go-to-meetin’ clothes for this activity. I think that a nice, pink sweatpants outfit with the word “Juicy” splashed across the back would me more appropriate. And please, a nice pair of running shoes too.

Why are we still making fun of cross dressers? This guy is forced to deliver frickin’ papers for income because people won’t let him even demonstrate his value and skills on account of his clothing choices. Stupid.

I agree with Christina and Yolanda, but I’m also thinking this particular individual has other issues going on besides being a crossdresser / transvestite. He doesnt come across to me as the brightest individual…probably has grown up in tough conditions with not alot of money or education. Also…do we know for sure when the video was taken yearwise? If it was the late 80′s early 90′s the puffy dress wouldnt be quite as shocking (other than its wildly overdressed for walking around delivering papers).

I think it is funny all the people who say what this guy is doing is “courageous”. He is walking around in a dress for crying out loud, not disarming bombs or arresting drug dealers(though it looks like he knows one).
I can understand why he needs to walk so much in between delivering papers. People canceling their subscriptions. Hey, you never know what he might “add” to your paper.
Does he have a right to dress like this? Of course he does. This is America. As long as he is not trying to ram his ideology down other people’s throats, I think most people wouldn’t care. Seems like a fairly nice guy by what I can glean from the “interview”. Wouldn’t trust him with my kids, but he seems fairly nice.

Honestly, I come to this site to see some funny, ignorant or disgusting things. I am actually quite bothered by the fact that some inconsiderate prick would follow this woman with a video camera.
My brother is transgender, just like this woman. He was born a boy, lived in a home that most people would consider to be normal, had a good family upbringing and then came out to us about 4yrs ago. After doing much research on this, watching a few documentaries, I can tell you that it is a proven fact, that the transgender brain is very different from that of an ordinary male. Their brains are literally comparable to that of a female brain (the comparison was made by looking at brain scans). Many doctors and researchers believe (through their research) that transgenderism is an actual birth defect like down syndrome. They have linked things like heavy chemicals (ie. pesticides) that the mother was exposed to during pregnancy to the cause of transgenderism.
So to those who believe in putting people like the woman in this clip down or judging them based on what you believe is wrong, let me ask you this, do you treat mentally or physically challenged people the same way? How about people that are of a different race or cultural background then you?
Grow up and be considerate of others! Why don’t you become a more knowledgeable person, rather then an idiot and learn about other people before being so hurtful!

Just to be fair, “Mary” gave us permission to shoot this video. You may not see it much in this video, but he has a good sense of humor about it. He delivered my newspaper for years and is a super nice guy. There’s no need to feel mad that he was “exploited.” He previewed the video himself.

He’s not a crossdresser or a transvestite, he’s transgender. A female in a male body. I have a child that is a female-to-male transgender. Live and let live. I give him HUGE PROPS! I also find it very disrespectful for him to be filmed and questioned like a criminal on the street. This woman should be APPLAUDED for her grace and her courage in the face of daily adversities.
