Happy Mother’s Day!
Mothers deserve more than a misspelled cookie cake for their special day. Thanks to all of the mothers out there. We love ya.

Nice to know WalMart is still hiring the handicapped. You go Jethrine. The fourth year in third grade is the charm.

It wasn’t misspelled. It’s for hermaphrodites that have adopted. It’s “mother” and “father” smashed up into one word.

I am looking forward to Fothers Day
May 13th, 2012
Only Eminem would buy this cake.

A gag gift for mom on Mother’s Day?

I find it hard to believe that even a Wal-Mart employee’s level of literacy is too low to know how to spell “mother” correctly.
Surely there must be another explanation, such as…today is the birthday of Jerry Mathers, star of the old Leave it to Beaver TV program. (maybe??)
Then again, it probably is just an illustration of a Wal-Mart employee’s level of literacy.

How do we know the person who took the picture specifically asked for this spelling on a made to order cake just to take a funny picture to submit?

I know my mum would of loved this cake. Happy mather’s day folks!

Perhaps this item is meant to celebrate Jerry Mathers…. either that or Cotton Mather.

Didn’t know that Beaver Cleaver had his own holiday.

Mom won’t care. If she’s like the typical walmartian , just give her a gallon of milk and a fork and she’ll finish the whole pie off in one sitting.

I’m glad someone made an Eminem joke…but I’m disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to do it.

I’m with you, MAX & Russ C. Let’s hope it was an edible tribute to the Beav.

I didn’t know Jerry Mathers had his own day. Happy Mathers Day Bev.
May 14th, 2012
I don’t care if it’s misspelled, I would eat a freaking cookie cake if I got one.
May 14th, 2012
It seems that they had this cookie left over from “Father’s Day” and tried to re-use it hoping no one would notice
May 14th, 2012
My mather wouln’t notice the difference. Mom never could spell.
May 14th, 2012
Maybe it’s for single dads who have to take on the role of mother AND father…Mather. Or possibly it’s for homosexual couples who have children. Who knows? I’m willing to bet that was intentional.

As someone who has decorated a fair number of cakes, it’s easy to see how a mistake like this could happen. It’s easy to get distracted and loose your train of thought. HOWEVER…. for this to actually make it to the box and then to the shelf testifies to the actual idiocy of the staff.
May 15th, 2012
Actually TWO misspellings there. Can you see the other, less obvious one?
May 15th, 2012
It’s not a misspelling. Mather’s day is actually a little known holiday, celebrated about mid-August, where people eat apple pies, listen to Eminem, and watch ‘Leave it to Beaver,’ and ’8 Mile’ all day…
May 17th, 2012
Sure, it’s misspelled but I don’t think it really mathers.
May 18th, 2012
On a side note the day before “Mother’s Day” is “Eminem Day” aka Marshall B. Mathers III. Maybe it was a left over?
May 21st, 2012
Well, my boyfriend was raised by his mom and her wife, whom he calls Mather. I vote for intentional.
May 23rd, 2012
It’s for Jerry Mather’s mom..that’s all I can figure
May 27th, 2012
I bet June Cleaver made this cake for The Beaver. Jerry Mathers… LOL
May 29th, 2012
Mather is my last Name!!!!

Just in case they don’t sell out for Mothers’ Day, they’re ready for Fathers’ Day, with just a single letter to change…clever huh?!
June 4th, 2012
Actually, I get this.
My Mom raised me after their divorce. She did the best she could being both Mother and Father. I started giving her “Mather’s” day cards on Father’s Day to honor her for her selfless work.

Its for the single parent that plays BOTH roles. DUH
