Bamboozled
What the shit is that? Is that Bat-Dog? Is it an ugly furry dragon? I’m baffled. Completely baffled right now….unless it can actually fly, then I’m kinda jealous.

My wife has one. It’s a dragon sort of creature. The wire you can see coming out of the bottom of his shirt allows you to make the head move by “remote”.
It’s sort of cute but she’s never worn it to Walmart.

I think I’ve seen those before! The first Ren faire I ever went to there was a lady selling them. They’re almost like puppets. They’re supposed to be Dragons. They have a wire/balloon thing that you can feed through your sleeve and it moves its head and stuff. They’re pretty cool… at a Ren Faire.

It’s a Celtic Fairy Dragon. I forget what it’s called off the top of my head, but it’s a demi-puppet. There is a cord that will turn the its head. “Google Ren Faire Dragon Puppet”

I just Googled them, under “Fantasy puppets”, they are called Woodbaby or some such thing. Not my kind of thing, but then again, I’m a grown adult. Why on Earth would you wear this thing in public? I thought it was a mutant dog / fox wearing a costume of sorts.

Bassbone is correct. It’s a Drabbit by Imaginarium Galleries. There’s a couple other companies that make similar puppets. I have one. I tend to only wear mine at the Renaissance Faire though but now I might have to wear it to Walmart.

yep its a drabbit by IG. They sell them at the PA Ren Faire and I know they do the Faire circuit through out the US. They’re ok at a Faire or similar event cause you fit in, but wouldn’t take it any where else.

Of course a lot of people know what it is…. The renaissance festival is huge and millions go to it…I think its alittle odd to wear the puppets around when your running errands but i say more power to ya if you wanna wear them at the festival. Personally i wouldn’t but hey..Whatever

I have one but its a Jihari Cat with bat wings from Woodbaby . I can see why people go out with it in public, to make young and old alike smile. I did that and it’s fun to see the kids amazed and wanting to pet it.

I have a Jhari’s cat.. and I love it. Mine is about 10 ish years old. I don’t get him out like I should. They are so much fun!

I have one Drabbit that I bought last year. I’m fine with just having it perched up on a shelf in my room though. I might consider taking it with me to the Ren Faire but that’s it. I forgot to take it with me to this year’s Ren Faire though.
My sister’s boyfriend has been buying a bunch of these over the last several years and he’s got (guessing, haven’t counted them) about a dozen of them now. He only takes them out when going back to the Ren Faire again though.

That is a Drabbit….my husband and I both hve one….the sell em at ren faire….they are actually pretty kool….they are puppets….some of them only hve head movement and some hve head and wing movement…..they actually draw a lot of attention and some people really treat them as a pet…..they are all hand carved and one of a kind…if u can disguse the cords well enough people actually think tht its a real animal sitting on ur shoulder…..
