The Snake Pit
Looks like we got ourselves a couple of sneaky snakes around here. Damn you two are hella cool. Oh, my bad I mistyped that. What I meant to say is you two are hella f*cking weird and I’d appreciate if you kept your distance.

I really don’t see anything at all wrong with having a ball python. I wouldn’t want to take it to Wal Mart, but it’s ok to have snakes. That doesn’t make them weird. I had a ball python before and I would take it out with me to some places…but it was places I knew it would be ok to bring them.

Keep your snake in your pants – this is a family store.

Is it too much to hope for that the snake on the right tightens his grip a bit more and the snake on the left lunges down and bites the guy’s package?

Like KIZIM above, I also had ball pythons. I had three of them when I was single.. They are really docile animals. I would carry them down the street, and let the kids see them. Actually met quite a few women that way.

Some people use snakes to help them with some disabilities that may have, no different than a seeing eye dog, not sure how they help but it is actually a part of my training at work to not turn away people with dogs or snakes.

they grow big and get dumped – what a stupid ‘pet’ especially since it gets fed other pets – which are more intelligent and loving than those unthinking food seekers – who would just as soon eat their owner

I don’t see anything wrong with this. I have ball pythons and they have no fangs and just kind of sit there. They are very docile and they really don’t get that big. They just have such a bad stigma that so many people put up an invisible barrier because they think you’re automatically weird for having such an exotic pet.

Wow,can’t believe some of these completely uneducated comments on here. First off having a snake does NOT make a person weird, we all have our preferences, including in pets. Yes snakes may not be the cuddliest of all animals but speakings as a pet owner of two snakes, two chinchillas and two dogs. Not to mention the numerous other pets I’ve owned cats, turtles, hamsters, rabbits, birds, fish, frogs, etc.. Most “common” pets other than dogs, cats, and a select few others really do not have the capability of truely loving you either. For example my chinchillas seem very friendly but that’s simply because they associate humans with feeding, and treats. If I died tomorrow they wouldn’t be upset as long as someone continued to care for them. So your point about snakes being unloving isn’t saying much because pets like rodents, birds, etc really aren’t capable of the mental capacity it takes to truely love you as a person. Also the person who said something about feeding snakes other animals, so what? We eat animals all the time, lots of other animals hunt and kill prey in order to live not just snakes. As for snake fatalities another completely unvalid point, more people die from dogs a year, actually more people die from cows a year than snakes. The only reason you hear so much more about snake fatalities is because they are actually rare, and how many people do you know that are afraid of cows, then think of how many people you know who are afraid of snakes. The fear of snakes is something people have had instilled in them by others a majority of times, take the time to educate youself on snakes and other reptiles you may not think they aren’t so bad. one more thing, if it wasn’t for snakes, pests like rats, and mice would overrun many places, so be thankful for snakes. Everything has its place in the world, and food chain.

I bring my Ball Python everywhere I can on nice days. Even to Wal-Mart, mostly the pet store though. Some people have dogs, I have a snake. Nothing wrong with that. At least the snake doesn’t bark.

I don’t see anything wrong with this. I have 21 pet ball pythons just like these and have no shame walking them around public places. People can walk their ugly f*cking dogs wherever they want – I can walk my f*ckin’ snakes. I’d rather see this than 95% of the other people on this website :/
