No, you are not mistaken. There are two Walmarts sharing the same parking lot in Iowa City, IA. Presumably, one is the “high class” Walmart, and the other is the “low class” Walmart.

Well obviously the one on the left is a new Wal*Mart that was built to replace the old one. However it does appear that the old one is still open. Does anybody happen to live near here and can give some insight?

They wanted to demolish the old store, but the Wal-creatures wouldn’t leave the building, so they just built a new one next to it.

Two Wal-Marts? Not standing up for them BUT one is an old store being relaced by the new SUpercentre…Duh!

here in Auburn IN they built the new one directly behind the old one
then bulldozed the old one and put in the parking lot. then sold the old parking lot to Staples.
Other towns around the area turned their old wally worlds into Rural King
which is a walmart for people that own critters.

The old Walmart is closed and now is a Costco.

Ok, this is dumb. These two Walmarts were never open at the same time. The one on the left is the new store while the one on the right was the old store. The parking lot is considerably smaller so customers were parking in front of the old store too. The old Walmart has since been demolished and other stores/restaurants have been built in its place. I live in the area and know.

I actually live near there, and the newer wal mart was not complete yet. the older one has since been deconstructed and a Dairy Queen has been erected in it’s place!

they have bulldozed the old one it was open while they were fixing the interior of the new one… it may not be “high class” but it is decently nice they keep the bathrooms clean which is a plus.

They were building the new one (which is being called the “high class” walmart, and the other one was closed. It was closed for a while before they opened the new one. It has since been demolished and new stores are in it’s place
