Throw It In The Bag
I don’t have kids so if someone could let me know if a bag on the head is a common play toy nowadays I’d appreciate it. Honestly, I’m out of the loop so I only have common sense to work off of, which apparently is more than most people, but nonetheless I’d like to know if I’m overreacting to plastic bag on the faces of children.

This IS Walmart. That’s why the parental unit can’t read the warning on the bag or make out the meaning of the pictogram.

Smothering head lice, maybe??
August 31st, 2012
I believe that is an airbag in case she falls out.

even though you don’t have children i don’t think you are “out of the loop” kids should not play with plastic bags especially on their heads!!!!!!! do parents teach their kids anything anymore?

It is not on her face, she is older so no risk of her chocking onit

wth am I still being moderated???

Can the kid breathe? Yes? Then, what’s the problem? Besides, this might be kid number 4 for this woman, so she’s got plenty of spares.

kid probably has headlice

It’s almost like she made a balloon toque.

I think she just put a bag on her head to be funny….

Bag on the head….isn’t that a band from the eighties!

to the theme of happy gilmore…”your child wil not survive your shopping, you jackass!”lol

Bad enough the kid isn’t smart enough not to put a plastic bag on her head. Is anyone else disturbed about her being in the cart at her age/size. Did she forget how to walk?
August 31st, 2012
Only if you want to remove all doubt about how stupid you are. This should be a crime idiots.

That kid is not only old enough to know better and to be walking, she is probably doing it out of spite and her parent just needs to get a few things and it’s easier to let the kid look like a dumbass than bother arguing about it.
Or, it’s a staged photo, “Hey, a bag on the head of a kid will get us on PoWM”

It’s a way to treat head lice. Mayonnaise on the head and cover with a plastic bag. Ewwww.

I think she decided that if America can have a community organizer then Walmart should have a Queen..

I’ve seen it a lot lately at Walmart. Don’t worry, they can always have more kids after they sue Walmart for having pastic bags so readily available. Not at my Walmart where the only bags available are higher than I can reach comfortably.

Training for her glamorous future in the industry of “good food, served quickly”.
I don’t have kids either, and it does make me raise an eyebrow, but we have to trust parents will teach their kids right. This kid looks old enough to have some brains and she’s with an adult. I’d be concerned if this was a toddler, but past 7 y/o if they don’t have some common sense, then it’s up to Darwin.

Maybe she is being treated for head lice, and the bag is meant to contain the medication to the top of her head. Or, more likely, the parent is just a dip-shit.
September 1st, 2012
It’s not on her face, and this is an older kid, that can easily get the bag off if needed. Quit yer whining!
September 1st, 2012
If they bagged before the baby they wouldn’t have to do it now.

“Would you like paper or plastic?”

Redneck condom?

SIDS tested, smother approved.

That’s not just a plastic bag, that there is a genuine Trailer Park Tiara!
September 1st, 2012
i think she has lice or her mom is just messed up in the head so they are just messed up people
September 2nd, 2012
So she’s old enough for being dorky and understanding no bag over the face but be cool like white trash momma and push the envelope. Its a hat. BUT THE CART SAYS NO KIDS OF HER SIZE IN THE CART AND NO KIDS IN THAT PART OF THE CART AT ALL. So its white trash due to everything. THe bag just adds…. Great parenting to the list…

If this were a treatment for head lice she would have all of her hair in the bag. Don’t blame the little girl for not knowing that plastic bags aren’t toys. Her stupid mother or caregiver should have noticed and taken the bag away from her. Also, just because the little girl is bigger than a toddler doesn’t mean she should have to walk. She may be physically or mentally disabled and this is a way to keep her safe. Not every disabled person has a wheelchair.

at least she’s concerned with oral hygiene…can’t be said for most Walmart customers…
September 2nd, 2012
Most likely it’s a makeshift head lice treatment until they can purchase a shower cap or some of those hairnets used in the kitchen.
September 2nd, 2012
Just get used to it Sweetie, when your 16 we’ll change it to paper.
September 2nd, 2012
This is the only toy parents can afford after 4 years of Obama
September 2nd, 2012
This isn’t as bad. It’s not on the face, it’s basically a white trash hairnet.

Little one is just getting ready to be the chef as the Labor Day cook. Looks like a chef’s hat to me.
September 2nd, 2012
Looks like the kid is trying to be an attention getter. She looks to be at least 10 so if she smothers to death on a plastic bag she would have to be severely physically handicapped. Apparently she is not physically handicapped…

It’s never too late!! This is just Darwin’s theory at work, or it could be a case of Postpartum Abortion. Considering the stupidity of a parent that would allow this, maybe it’s best to stop the blood line now.

I don’t know what is going on but this seems to be a new fad with kids. I saw at least a dozen adolescent kids with Ziploc bags on their heads this past weekend alone! I hope a bunch of them slide down. The herd needs thinning again.
September 3rd, 2012
This is not a lice treatment. Lice will go behind the ears and on the back of the neck. Flea shampoo can be used, or get the lice shampoo free from the local health department. This girl is old enough to not get suffocated by the bag, but I wouldn’t let my grandchildren put a bag on their head. I think she is trying to be funny.

@signguy
That idiot couldn’t organize his sock drawer
September 3rd, 2012
I can understand that bag on the head look. But I need to know why is a kid that old in the shopping cart in the first place.
September 3rd, 2012
@toeachhisown
Who DOES organize a sock drawer and how do you do it? Are you by chance gay?
September 4th, 2012
Nope, not gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
Go away, troll
September 4th, 2012
Your child is not getting the full enjoyment of this toy if you empty the rusty nails out of the bag first.
September 7th, 2012
her head’s not in the bag, she’s wearing it on top of her head. cross common sense off the list of things you apparently possess.
October 13th, 2012
Not such a huge deal, folks.
The kid is old enough that the bag is not going to accidentally slip over her face and suffocate her. She’s probably just doing it for attention. Maybe it’s some new fad. Better than leaving your pants hanging half-off.
Not that I’d let my kid do that, but it’s really not a horrible thing worth making a big deal over. The last time I visited this site (and it’s been some time back) there were a lot worse things on it.
And she’s not being treated for head lice. There is nothing in her hair, and the bag isn’t covering all of it anyway. Head lice isn’t even a “nastiness” thing anyway … lice are much more likely to infest someone with CLEAN hair than someone with greasy dirty hair. They can be spread between perfectly respectable people (and often are). Any place kids share hats, combs, etc. or even play closely enough could spread head lice.
