@Eric: I believe mom just has her hair pulled back tightly but considering the shoes, I could be wrong.
Usually around here when I see a woman and her pack of daughters that are all dressed the same (including the same hair style) it’s an Amish or fundamentalist Christian family but the pink or clear high heels should eliminate that.
My best guess is that older woman in the horrible blue suit thought it would be cute if all the girls dressed and had their hair similar for a cheesy family photo (since some stores have a “portrait studio” in them). If so, I feel sorry for the girls.

OK, so we have the females of a family from some sort of holiness church, (Church of God maybe). And the humor stems from what? It’s just the way folks from those sects dress and carry themselves, no odder than seeing an Amish family in areas where they have their communities. They are covered, of healthy weight, and clean, certainly not your normal POWM feature creature. Do I favor their doctrines and such? Uh, no.

I see groups like that frequently around here. We have a rather large eastern-block immigrant community, mostly Russians and Ukrainians.
At any given time you can go into the grocery store and see a mom with her hair poofed up like that with a gaggle of girls following her around the store, usually taking up the whole isle. If there’s a boy he’s under 10 years old. The girls are usually gorgeous. They all wear dresses like that and sensible shoes. Sometimes the mother will wear a scarf on her hair.
I think it’s an Eastern Orthodox thing.

They may not be the most fashionable and the hair is a little out of date, but I’d rather a mother that has daughters dressed modestly like this than five teen girls looking like streetwalkers and the mother looking like their madam.

Aside from the shoes and 80s hair, I think they look fine. It’s not my style but everything is covered up! All those skirts are at or below the knee and no one’s tits are hanging out. I’d much rather have my daughter look like this than having everything hanging out like most people featured here.

I fine example of female family members than I usually saw when working at Walmart. There’s is the mother who is on the cell phone while her teenage daughters, dressed like hookers, are looking for something to steal. Then, there’s the teenage mother tradition, this a woman in her early 30′s, her teenage daughter, and baby granddaughter. I know the baby is the innocent in this scenario but the grandmother failed with her daughter.

Ok so they are matching Momma and have 80′s hair, so what? They look covered and have reasonably modern clothing, at least they aren’t slutty. They could be coming from an 80′s themed party or something and needed to run in the store before heading home. I don’t find them strange. I would rather my daughter be covered at their age than wearing barely there clothing and 18 pounds of make up and Im not religous at all.

This kids are slim, clean, and well-dressed. No one as a body part exposed which shouldn’t be. Blue isn’t Mom’s color but if that’s the only fault i can find…

I think that the poster that guessed “a family portrait” is correct. What is not pointed out is that this is, most likely, a photo of the females of an “Irish Traveller” family (modern-day gypsies). That would explain the over-the-top feminine clothes, including the shoes. Fundamentalists would not dress like this.

No, Irish travelers are NOT modern day gypsies – Irish travelers originated from Ireland when Cromwell threw many of them off their land and they became nomadic. Gypsies are originally from, believe it or not, India. (If you’re wondering about their white skin, the closer to the equator, the darker the skin and the gypsies came from the northern part). You will still find generations of white-skinned Indians in India.
What both groups, (Irish travelers and gypsies), however, have in common is that the women dress like whores.

Actually i’m willing to bet they didnt just get their picture taken because I live around the area this family is from. I have seen them several times around town. They ALWAYS dress like that. Usually their father is with them leading the way. They also have like 4-5 brothers who are always dressed up in suits. IDK. It is a bit odd but at least their a$$ is covered and they have manners.

Oh my! I saw this family at a church we visited over a year ago. Their family freaked us out so much we didn’t want to return. They are cult like. The husband is just as “off” with his long amish like beard.

I think I actually know these people from my hometown in Texas, what you don’t see is the dad and the one little boy they managed to have. These are fundamental Christians, and they have been dressing like that for years. Lord only knows how much hairspray they go through at their house!

This family is from harker heights Texas. They are an amazing family. always clean, always neat and most of all polite and NON JUDGMENTAL! There are I believe three boys and the dad that you will see them with at times. They are a Christian family. It is awesome to see them out and about because it is nice to see this instead of butt crack, boobs, lame tats, dirtyness and stupid crap the low lifes of our world think we should have to see. The way these kids talk to their momma is amazing. VERY RESPECTFUL! Try to find that at walmart with majority of other families. You laugh and mock them for being different I laugh at you because your all the same.

I had guessed they might belong to a Christian family. But that’s a reason to make fun of people? I mean, they are clean, covered, and appear to be respectful of their parents. I can think of a lot worse ways for kids to turn out.
I seriously doubt they are Pentecostals (if by that you mean UPC) … they don’t wear jewelry, and the mother has earrings. And they certainly don’t look like any Amish or Mennonites I know.
I’ve seen a lot worse. I don’t know the family or their lives, but I’d come a lot closer to believing the family is a close one that enjoys spending time together, the kids are respectful, and they have a family they can be proud of. I could be wrong, but it looks a lot more like that with this family than most of the photos I see on this site.
