It looks like somebody pulled that thing up out of the ground with it’s roots still attached….which is definitely how I think most women would like to have their hair described.

i guess she has FORGOTTEN to brush her hair for the past decade?
somebody please just take a saw and cut it off!! its odd how somebody could let their hair matt up like that….all it takes is washing your hair with shampoo/conditioner and brushing daily….to get hair like that takes absolutely no care for a long time…..

I have hair that ends just past my butt and never understood people with long hair not taking care of it. That is just gross! I wash my hair everyday. Shampoo can be cheap! lol

I think most people, women in particular, can remember those times when you fought to get your hair right before leaving the house. Nothing is so affirming as a fresh, great ‘do.
And nothing is so frustrating as hair that won’t BEHAVE.
I, on the other hand, have thick hair that if left to it’s own, has a life of it’s own. So, after one bad hair day too many, and losing the last wrestling match with it, I shaved my hair clean off!

Are we sure that a coyote has not jumped on her back to hump her? I swear I see little ears sticking up on top that mess. Whatever is going on there should not be allowed around any sort of food that anyone ever plans to eat.

I will never know how peoples hair end up in this mess. Maybe she has mental problems? Maybe she has no husband, children, or family to intervene? Also, Google the term Polish Plait & you’ll have a better understanding. Although, I still dont know why someone would be able to stand it, mental problems or not. My long hair gets quite annoying too, but if it ever got near this I would definietly shave my head too like the woman said above! Actually, its tempting to do that anyway. Long hair is a pain in the ass.

OMFG!! I saw a woman in NC with this “Polish plait” hair thing (thanks to ‘El Jefe 72′ for the Wikipedia reference–it was pretty interesting!) 20 yrs ago, and I think I may have seen the woman in this POWM pic in TX where I now live.
This is like felted human hair, and I’m fascinated/repelled by it! Someone mentioned that this woman must be mentally ill or her hygiene must be terrible, but I noticed that the couple of times I’ve seen women with this giant matted hair thing, they both seemed to be middle-class women in their 70s who were generally nicely dressed and whose non-hair hygiene seemed fine. It’s definitely a bizarre thing to see in Western culture!
