That Escalated Quickly
Look like she actually got a partridge in a pear tree for Christmas. But on a more important note, how the hell did I not know a double-decker Walmart existed in this country? I see those escalators and I need to know if those are indeed a stairway to heaven or if Walmart really does sell everything and it’s just an escalator for sale.

I think that’s a man under all that gorgeous.. and we have escalated walmarts here in NY.. shit needs space. All walmarts can’t be in their own 80,000 sqr foot building surrounded by nothing in the middle of nowhere. Not everywhere is Nebraska.

There is a two story walmart in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. It has escalators for shopping carts, first time I have ever seen those.

The escalator in the Salt Lake City Walmart takes you to the upper level of the parking garage. Still a single level of Walmart but with two levels of parking.

Is this real? Where did the low prices sign behind her go in pic #2? She is in the same line standing behind the lady in the black shirt…but the angle is changed…and the sign is gone. Maybe the bird is fake, too. Not that it matters. The entire outfit is like something out of a cheesy soap opera

Albany NY has a 2 story Walmart. They renevated a regular Walmart to a super center.

Trafford Park , Manchester, UK has a two storey Walmart.
They try to pass it off as Asda, a supermarket chain that Walmart bought out some 12 years ago, but apart from the customers being slighly tamer and English, it’s a Wallyworld through and through, complete with Walmart management style, ethos and even some Walmart logos and signage around.

We used to have a double decker Sears, and believe it or not, the stuff wasn’t expensive, then they built a new one with cheaper stuff and higher prices!

being against a religion that outlaws bacon and calls you filthy for mixing food together on your plate has nothing to do with being anti-semitic anyway. We have a 2-story Walmart here in Sacramento. Walmart took over an abandoned Montgomery Wards building. One escalator for the people; one for the carts.

It must be the store in Panorama City, CA. Originally it was a mall department store that closed up and was replaced with a Wally World, hence the 2 stories. It is by far the worst Walmart I’ve ever been in!

There is a 2 level Walmart in Towson MD, it has a special escalator for the shopping carts. You push your cart onto the cart lift then you ride the regular escalator and you get to the top or bottom of the escalator about 10 seconds before your cart. It used to be a Montgomery Ward store, it still has elevators also.

We have one in La Mesa (San Diego county), with fancy carts that go up their own escalator too. It is in the same mall as the 2 story Target store with the same type of escalators and carts.

We have TWO double-decker Walmarts in the Los Angeles area, one in Panorama City in the San Fernando Valley and the other one at the intersection of Crenshaw Blvd and Dr Martin Luther King Blvd in South Central Los Angeles. Neither one is one of the nicer Walmarts although both have that special escalator just for shopping carts.

I’m 90% sure the Wal-Mart in this photograph is located in Sacramento. It used to be a really cool bookstore, now its an absolutely horrible Wal-Mart. The escalator has one of those devices that take your cart up with you but it seems to never work right. One time my cart got stuck mid way up and I had to completely unload everything and use a chain of people to get my stuff to the top and into another cart. Lesson learned, take the damn elevator. And yeah, that is absolutely a dude.

theres a double-decker WM in El Cajon CA, used to be one i’d go to when i lived in San Diego… there’s even a cart escalator…it hooks your cart and pulls it up beside you on the escalator…but they wont let you ride in the cart.

That could be the Wallyworld on Hilltop Dr in Richmond, CA. A one-time Macy’s store. The cart escalator was installed between the regular escalators.
