I can see why – State Farm will try to total the person who was hit’s car even for minor fender-bender type damage unless it’s brand new.

Based on the incredible run-around that State Farm has given my neighbor with Superstorm Sandy-related repairs to his house, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they also treat their car insurance customers like crap.
My home insurance company paid to tear-off all the old shingles on my roof, and completely re-shingle the roof. But, my neighbor, who has FAR more damage than I did, is being told by State Farm that they will only pay for patching his roof with non-matching shingles.
What a bunch of crap from State Farm!
