Not A Smart Move
“Hey look at me, I’m so Smart, I can fit my little car in here while you have to park way back there and walk.” – Really? How Smart are you when I keep slamming my cart into the return lanes like two carts that don’t fit together? The level of smugness here is actually starting to piss me off so I’m going to stop before I ruin my day.

I hate looking at people in these friggin cars. I just shake my head and wonder what would happen if they got into a head-on collision doing say, 30mph…smh.

I’d be willing to bet 4 guys picked the car up and put it in there as a joke. Those cars are a joke in and of themselves.
January 30th, 2013
its obvious to me that someone “moved” the cart station and put it around this poor little car to annoy the owner. look at the ground. those lines are at the beginning of the lanes, not in the middle where the cart stations normally are……just sayin.

Nothin wrong with these cars, and who cares where they park. It isn’t a handicapped space!
January 30th, 2013
That’s a tight fit, even for such a small car. I guess they exited through the windows, Dukes-style.
Also, I would totally park my cart up against their rear bumper.
January 30th, 2013
Did he/she have to climb out of the window to get out?
January 30th, 2013
Smart car. Not smart driver.
January 30th, 2013
If the car fits…
January 30th, 2013
Did he really climb out the back window just to prove he could fit his car there? Pretty soon stores will have to put up no parking signs in front of the cart corrals.
January 30th, 2013
It actually looks like someone may have moved the cart corall over the smart car…honestly how the hell are they supposed to get in or out!
January 30th, 2013
Somebody must have pushed it into the cart return as a prank. They couldn’t
open the doors to get out if they drove it into there, unless that’s a hatchback.
January 30th, 2013
Tow that clown car! The clown had to have climbed out of a window or the back hatch. How smart will he feel paying for his little toy at the tow yard?
January 30th, 2013
There is no way that you can get out of the car. It may fit but it is a fail for being a staged photo.
January 30th, 2013
How did they get out?
January 30th, 2013
Y U Mad, bro? It’s in the exact spot where you’re supposed to put crummy little carts, isn’t it?
January 30th, 2013
Are the cart return rails suppose to increase the crash safety rating? Kinda looks like an angry bird about to launch!
January 30th, 2013
Pretty sure this was someone else pranking the “smart” car driver. Think about it. How’d he get out of the car?
January 30th, 2013
I’d like to know how they got out — can’t open the door — or did someone put it there for fun ?
January 30th, 2013
I’d park a cart on TOP of the car.
January 30th, 2013
That is beyond lazy
January 30th, 2013
Judging from what I can make out on the plates, this is likely in Oklahoma
January 30th, 2013
Real smart, can’t open the doors!
January 30th, 2013
An accident at 30, head on, would result in OMG an airbag deployment, and, i dunno, maybe some whiplash. The fact that they care about the enviroment to drive a smart care is great….
,,But parking where you`d have to crawl out the sunroof or trunk, that`s just showing they certainly possess the IQ deficient required to shop at Wally`s World.
January 31st, 2013
I wouldn’t be able to resist pushing my cart behind the freaking car!
January 31st, 2013
My first urge upon seeing that would be to buy a few rolls of duct tape and tape the car in to the cart return. There’d be no way a car that puny could break free.
@GH in the B-Lo! :The best case scenario probably would be for the car to roll and the frame hold in tact. Otherwise physics is not on the side of the sub-compact, especially if the other vehicle was substantially larger.
January 31st, 2013
I don’t think he really parked there unless he climbed out the rear hatch or sunroof.
January 31st, 2013
ummmmm……. How did they get out of the car? there are bars on both sides. I’m guessing those doors are not gonna open. I guess they could climb out the back of the car or maybe the sun roof? That seems like more work than walking the extra 20 feet it would have taken to park in a real spot.
January 31st, 2013
How did he open his doors?
January 31st, 2013
I guess they bought the model with the sunroof as there’s no way to open the doors.
This has to have been a prank by a bunch of guys who put it in there to make a “point”
January 31st, 2013
I have just one question. How did they get out of the car?
January 31st, 2013
Actually, Top Gear ran one of these into a concrete wall at 70 mph- the car was basically intact and the doors still opened. The whole thing is engineered like a roll cage. Probably safer that most midsize cars. But still stupid for the US.
January 31st, 2013
And isn’t it a little bit inconvenient to have to climb out the window? I mean, even the doors on this car aren’t going to open.
January 31st, 2013
Smart Car…….Stupid Driver
January 31st, 2013
I’d love for this guy to find his car inside the store, in that area where they store the empty carts.
January 31st, 2013
He blinkered to turn into what he thought was a parking spot, and there was no turning back.
January 31st, 2013
There are larger cars that get better mileage than the Smart. There really isn’t any “saving the environment” with it.

@ Chris
My thoughts exactly, well almost exactly. You said four guys, but I’m betting two guys (or gals) could pick up one of those things. I know (don’t ask) that it only take five people from a stage crew to lift up a VW beetle and put it on a porch.

I think the name is being used ironically, like the fat man named “Tiny”
January 31st, 2013
It’s the rear spoiler that gets me – why ??
Here in the UK we have a few Smart car police cars – needless to say the police don’t look too happy driving them !!

“I would totally park my cart up against their rear bumper.”
Totally?
As opposed to partially parking your cart against their rear bumper?
I guess that, to a Valley Girl, “totally”, makes sense in that context.
To people with a brain…not so much.

People like this make me sad I live in Oklahoma, home of the worst drivers ever.
