This Little Piggy Went To Walmart
Tags: hog, pig

There are only 2 acceptable reasons to have your pig in Walmart. (1) You have somehow obtained a trained seeing-eyed pig (if so, good for you) and (2) to let the pig run around loose as you chase it with a knife dressed as a butcher to mess with all the other customers

Which one is the pig?
October 30th, 2009
Walmart carries fresh pork. I believe it now!!
October 30th, 2009
Cute pig, but seriously!!
October 30th, 2009
Cute pic. How did they get the sweater and sunglasses to stay on the pig?
October 30th, 2009
Looks like a teacup pig, which grow up to be about dog sized (40-60 pounds). They make wonderful pets, but probably best not to take your pig to Wal-Mart. Someone will turn it into bacon when you turn your back.
October 30th, 2009
Actually, there are three good reasons to bring your pig to Wal-Mart. Reason #3: to get him out of the house for a little while.
October 30th, 2009
Jims comment is hilarious! mean, but funny!
October 30th, 2009
This little piggy went to market . . .
October 30th, 2009
He said, “She wasn’t fit to sleep with a pig.” Boy did she prove him wrong!
October 30th, 2009
I see a leash… are you sure it’s not her child?
October 30th, 2009
2 words…. SWINE FLU
October 30th, 2009
What’s with all the animals at Walmart?
Does anything exemplify filth more than a pig?
Pigs, parrots, iguanas, llamas?? At least the dog and chicken show stayed outside.
I’m doing my grocery shopping elsewhere……yuck.
October 30th, 2009
I don’t think she understood the swine flu.
October 30th, 2009
Here Piggy, Piggy, Piggy……
October 30th, 2009
I think is one of those instances where the person in question looks like their pet. It usually happens with dogs, but she couldn’t find a dog that looked like her, so he had to go for the next best thing.
October 30th, 2009
A llama, an iguana, and now a pig. What’s next, a cow?
October 30th, 2009
Hey mom, what’s for dinner?
October 30th, 2009
I see *two* pigs here.
October 30th, 2009
Piggy’s on a leash because he wanted to go to Target.
October 30th, 2009
Definitely not adopted.
October 30th, 2009
Wow, their hair/fur match! You know what they say about owners and their animals beginning to look like each other after a while! LOL
October 30th, 2009
They call me Mrrrrrr Piggggg, and of course Mrs. Pig.
October 30th, 2009
She simply misunderstood when her biker boyfriend told her they were gonna take the hog to Walmart.
October 30th, 2009
If this is in fact a seeing eye pig then shouldn’t it be nervous having a blind lady carrying it.
October 30th, 2009
Do you think the pig will be upset when he sees his family in the meat section?
October 30th, 2009
WEho is in charge of who?
October 30th, 2009
Arnold’s mom said, “What happens in Walmart, stays in Walmart.”
October 30th, 2009
I’ll call you Mine-Me!
October 30th, 2009
How can you people be so cruel? This picture is adorable. Pigs are only filthy if you let them be. Little pigs like this can make great pets. And the lady looks a hell of a lot better than most of the people you find on this site.
October 30th, 2009
You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Can’t you see it’s her “seeing-eye” pig? Duh…
October 30th, 2009
Considering some of the other ‘pigs’ we’ve seen in these PoWM pictures, THIS one is cute!
October 30th, 2009
A pig in Walmart on Friday? Not very kosher.
October 30th, 2009
ICK !
WHY do people feel the need to bring livestock into the store ? ?
Was her local butcher/deli closed for the day ?
October 30th, 2009
i smell bacon
October 30th, 2009
Pigs need grub too!
October 30th, 2009
Pigs got to get grub too!
October 30th, 2009
This pig is NOT in Wal-Mart. It is sitting outside the store. Go ahead and down rate me but I think all you ppl saying she is a pig, too are really cruel and need to grow up. I think it’s a cute picture.
October 30th, 2009
OK, I stand corrected. It is indeed inside the store. However, I still say it’s a cute picture. It probably IS a seeing eye pig. She is wearing sunglasses similar to the ones my grandmother (who is blind) wears.
October 30th, 2009
It is WalMart, she is going to the deli to make her porky friend useful.
October 30th, 2009
Last time i saw a pig at Walmart it stayed in the car. Maybe its a “therapy animal” i saw a woman witha big rabbit before, she couldnt go nowhere without it (or she would get panic attacks)
Maybe this lady is is just getting ready for a Luau and needed to fit the future roast with the right size apple.
October 30th, 2009
This is simply a case of animal abuse!
October 30th, 2009
Hey, where’d you get the cow??
It’s not a cow it’s a pig..
I know. I was talking to the pig
October 30th, 2009
Patty: Does your Grandmother have a seeing eye pig???
October 30th, 2009
Considering some of the other ‘pigs’ we’ve seen in these PoWM pictures, THIS one is cute!
But if it IS a seeing-eye-pig, how exactly is this helping her… if she’s carrying it?!
October 30th, 2009
Pork…..The Other White Meat
October 30th, 2009
awww I think its a cute pic! But animals shouldn’t be allowed in stores, unless its a seeing eye pig of coarse lol.
October 30th, 2009
this is totally my neighbor! she walks this pig through my neighborhood all the time… this is probably the walmart my spouse works at, she shops there alot!
October 30th, 2009
pets and people really do look alike
http://www.randomblog.org
October 30th, 2009
I continue to see on this site why I refuse to go to Walmart. IF I did go there and saw this, I would be doing some big time complaining. Pathetic
October 30th, 2009
yea great first an iguana now a pig dont they know the dam swine flu is going around whats next a spitting camel. come on walmart stop them at the door i dont want to see that when im shopping!!!!
October 30th, 2009
Must be heading into the photo-mart for a family portrait. Really, the resemblance is uncanny.
October 30th, 2009
Wal-Mart actually has a sign on the front door that states only registered assistance animals are allowed within the building. However, associates are not allowed to tell people that bring animals in to leave, because it might upset the customer. I used to work there, and I’ve tried kicking these people out, but instead got reprimanded by my manager!
October 30th, 2009
i agree with patty pet pigs are not to dirty anmals they r nice and dont smell bad at all plus thay r smart maybe smarter then some of u ppl grow up
October 30th, 2009
@ Chris – pigs are not carriers of the H1N1 (swine flu) viris. And I think the pig looks cleaner than some of the people pics on this site. And dang it, I missed the llama!
October 30th, 2009
Southpaw
A llama, an iguana, and now a pig. What’s next, a cow?
There has already been plenty of cows in wally world!
October 30th, 2009
How the hell brings a pig to walmart??????
October 30th, 2009
This proves it…owners and their pets do look alike!
October 30th, 2009
and now I have proof that my mother in law shops at wal-mart…….
October 30th, 2009
I’ve always said Walmart was a zoo!!! Now we have conformation.
October 30th, 2009
KMS , she isnt carrying the pig, just holding it. If you look behind the lady you see a bench. She is prob. sitting there with her unusal pet waiting for whoever it could be.
October 30th, 2009
Don’t know when this was taken, but its appearance now is interesting. October 4th is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Perhaps this woman confused Walmart for a local church where they bless animals on that day? ‘Cause to some people Walmart may be a house of worship.
October 30th, 2009
IF this was a seeing it would be on the ground. You dont CARRY your service animals. In fact when they are working that is all they are to do..work. They have set play times so the animals don’t get confused. My friend trains seeing eye dogs. Also they have a special handle on a special harness. This animal has neither. It also looks to be a young pig (if the size is any indication) so if it was a animal in training it MUST have a green training vest on and once again you do not carry your service animal. She is also looking towards the camera and half smiling. I see plenty of people with those sun glasses walking around. Not blind. Its cute, pigs are smart, they are clean but NO animal belongs in a store. We have laws for a reason.
October 30th, 2009
“Pigs of Walmart”.
October 30th, 2009
I think Walmart has outdone Kroger and Food Lion put together – Walmarts meat selection is so fresh, it comes with the leash and the owner and for 10 bucks more you get to watch the butcher dismantle both in the choproom – happy halloween!
October 30th, 2009
abadeeya–abadeeya–abadeeya….say…you b–b–better point that
c–c–camera ph–ph–ph–phone elsewhere or I’ll, uh, I’ll, uh, I’ll, uh
shove it up your b–b–b–be–be–beh–,uh, ass!
October 30th, 2009
Now! That’s one clean pig! Wilbur comes to mind. But, you know…he seems to have more class and charm than most of the people who have been seen shopping there.
October 30th, 2009
Aw, pigs make great pets. They’re smarter than dogs!
October 30th, 2009
Pigs are actually really smart and are supposed to be better pets than dogs. The pig jokes are funny but calling her a pig is pretty rude. I genererally find everything on here hilarious. But now your starting to push it. What I think is really funny is the fact that everyone calling her a pig is probably more piggish in appearance and less intelligent! Congratulations you called someone on the internet a pig, but surprise your still fat!
October 30th, 2009
First of all pigs are supposed to be extremely intelligent. I usually find the comments on here to be really funny. But you people are starting to push it. Why are you calling her a pig? She looks completely normal. What’s funny is that the people making fun of her are probably less intelligent and more piggish then the animal. Congratulations you called someone a pig today but SURPRISE your still fat! Who’s the pig?
October 30th, 2009
Pets are not suppose to be allowed in grocery stores. I see people in Walmart with little dogs too. As a parent of a child that has allergies I find it strange that managers do not give these people with pets the BOOT!
October 30th, 2009
MallWart already has way too many barnyard animals running loose, trying things on, cruising the food section, etc. Nice to see one on a leash tho
October 30th, 2009
if I was the pig, I’d have the sunglasses on to hide my identity.
October 30th, 2009
“chase it with a knife dressed as a butcher”
I don’t get it…why would you dress a knife like a butcher?
October 30th, 2009
@Karen — Pigs most certainly CAN carry the H1N1 virus. There’s a herd in Japan infected right now. And if you check the answers-DOT-flu-DOT-gov website (TPoW apparently won’t post comments that contain a direct link) you’ll find that the U.S. gov’t states quite clearly that pigs can be infected.
October 30th, 2009
Probably better behaved than most kids in the store. And I do think it’s a very cute little critter. But is it actually a pig? I didn’t know pigs had fur.
October 30th, 2009
Animals of any kind (except service dogs) are banned from any food store in all states under the state health laws. There is a good reason. Although I think this lady is outside of the store sitting on a bench, the pig should not be on any part of the premises. What in hell is wrong with WalMart? Have they become so greedy they will overlook local laws, including those of public obscenity?
October 30th, 2009
It is hard to imagine that a pig could love something so ugly.
October 30th, 2009
FOR YEARS, THE ONLY PORKERS THAT I HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH ARE THE ONES WITH 2 LEGS, MOST OF THE 4 LEGGED VARIETY ARE CUTER, SMELL BETTER AND ARE MUCH EASIER TO GET ALONG WITH …
I AM PROBABLY WRONG BUT I SEEM TO REMEMBER THAT 4 LEGGED PORKERS ARE MYOPIC, WHO THE HELL WOULD WANT TO USE AN ANIMAL WHO CAN’T SEE WHERE THE FRIGGIN’ BEER IS LOCATED???
October 30th, 2009
Technically that’s a collared peccary and it’s not a pig….
October 30th, 2009
I’d carry my seeing-eye-pig around walmart too, so nobody could try to ride it like a horse or cut, clean and cook it to test the new grill and lawn chairs back in electronics watching the big game!
October 30th, 2009
I’ll still bet Walmart will take it back even without a receipt.
October 30th, 2009
A llama, an iguana, a pig, a mini horse, rooster! Wow
October 30th, 2009
Which one grunts the loudest?
October 30th, 2009
Aww! I think the pig is super cute
October 30th, 2009
aww but the pig is cute….I could care less about the scary lady.
October 30th, 2009
The pig looks cleaner than some of the customers I’ve seen in there. lol

October 30th, 2009
do you think thats Kosher?
October 30th, 2009
Hey TA you forget that there will be at least one or two Gomers around there wanting to grease it and chase it through the store.Course,I’m sure it would start a fad all through the WalMart world.
October 30th, 2009
That pig is so cute, I used to have a pet pig:)I luv animals lol that chick looks like she is happy with the pig
October 30th, 2009
It’s impossible to find a piggy with matching hair these days
October 30th, 2009
The poor woman is obviously blind!
Seeing-eye pigs DO exist!
This is another mean one, just like the seeing-eye horse!!! (That got deleted…)
October 30th, 2009
My younger daughter had a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig and it made a very good pet. As has been said, pigs are not filthy unless allowed to be. The problem with pigs such as this one is that some of them grow to about 175 pounds. When they get on the furniture, as they will if allowed in the house, they will break it down. My daughter and her husband took their pig to a “pig sanctuary” in San Antonio where it roots and grunts its days away in porcine bliss.
October 30th, 2009
I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE “PEOPLE OF WALMART ” SITE. THIS WEEK I’VE SEEN A LLAMA, IGUANUA, ROOSTER, DOG ON A BIKE. WOW!

(my reply)
Actually, any animal can be a service animal, but if it isn’t wearing an identifying vest, tag, scarf, or other means of identification, you’d better be prepared to be questioned about the validity of your claim. People who HAVE service animals, know what to be expect to be asked, and know what the answers are. They are also smart enough to come prepared and and have appropriate gear. Emotional Support Animals are different and don’t have the same rights as Service Animals. They are allowed to be kept in “no pet” apartments with a psychiatrist’s recommendation. They are NOT allowed to accompany a person in public. If this pig is a Service Animal, it needs to be vested so people don’t mistake it as a pet. If it is an ESA, it needs to have stayed home.
October 30th, 2009
@Sigh
First of all the fact that you are so offended shows me that you are one the people I am talking about. I’m terribly sorry I made one grammatical error. Clearly that makes me dumb. Thank goodness the grammar police was here! I’m really happy you are unemployed and able to search the internet policing the way people spell things. I feel bad for anyone who sends you a text message. Does it drive u crzy when ppl do this?
October 30th, 2009
That’s not kosher.
October 30th, 2009
They say pigs are smarter than dogs…
I guess that’s why she has one.
October 30th, 2009
She should be careful toting that lil’ piggie around in Walmart. Management might ask her to leave because it’s an insult to the integrity of the store to have something so clean and cute walking around.
October 30th, 2009
100% USDA Grade A Stupid F***
October 30th, 2009
Just because it’s “cute” doesn’t mean I need to see it in WM
October 30th, 2009
I think the pig is awesome! She is probably just waiting for someone who went in…..maybe they were out on a walk? At least she is not IN Walmart.
October 30th, 2009

October 30th, 2009
They ARE inside of the store, sitting on the little bench by the washroom door. Look at the wall, look at the floor, use your brains people. Pig INSIDE Store.
October 30th, 2009
@ Brent, I guess I should have been clearer with my statement. Pigs can not infect humans with the H1Ni viris. Is that clear enough???
October 30th, 2009
I see that lady and her dogs and her pig in the store all the time. She is blind and Yes that is a trained service animal. I have seen the paperwork. There was a story in the local newspaper about her and training the pig. I also know that if someone walk into a WalMart with any animal and lies and says its a service animal it is let in. No paperwork needs to be seen.
I still don’t understand why people take their pets shopping with them.

October 31st, 2009
That pig is as cute as a button. But how did she get past security and into the store? I didn;t think animals were allowed in Walmart – I guess I’m wrong.
October 31st, 2009
I wonder if they will let me take this on the retirement home bus when it gets here.
October 31st, 2009
Looks like the javelinas that I shoot when they root around in our yard. Except ours don’t wear sunglasses. I guess it’s a Washington thing.
October 31st, 2009
If this is in Spokane, I have totally seen that woman…but last time there were two pigs…
October 31st, 2009
Looks a lot like the javelinas that I shoot in our yard. They smell pretty rank. I suppose that this one covers up her BO. She looks like the type that needs a fatty brigade to roll her into the handicapped shower once a month for her spray down.

@Karen – Directly from the CDC’s website:
“Swine flu viruses do not normally infect humans. However, sporadic human infections with swine flu have occurred. [...] For example, an outbreak of apparent swine flu infection in pigs in Wisconsin in 1988 resulted in multiple human infections [...].”

Karen– This can even happen if you have unprotected sex with the pig— I mean the LADY
October 31st, 2009
@Lame…..you certainly are!
October 31st, 2009
Except for honest-to-Christ service animals (and I’m not counting the ones where a fat person trains a monkey to pick stuff up off the floor that they can’t reach) animals have NO PLACE in a business, especially ones that sell food.
Leave your dog, iguana snake or kitty at home.
Just another hallmark of the “it’s all about me, I’ll do whatever I WANT and screw the rest of you” mindset these days!
October 31st, 2009
Bullsh!t– “I see this lady in the store all the the time and it’s a trained service animal…”
A trained service animal is NO USE to her in her arms, leaving two possibilities:
1) it’s really just a pet
2) it’s a trained service animal that she doesn’t really need, and she BS’d her way to the designation.
October 31st, 2009
Both those piggies shoulda stayed home
October 31st, 2009
if its a service animal….which one drove to walmart?
October 31st, 2009
RE TRUCKER -
WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK DROVE TO THE STORE??
THE SERVICE ANIMAL, PORCINE!! HA

Walmart got a HUGE slap from the DOJ for violating the rights of people with service animals. Just to be clear, there is no true “registration or certification” for any service animals. Walmart greeters are allowed to ask “Is that a service animal for a disability?” Any further problems beyond that have to be handled by a manager. See : http://www.ada.gov/walmart.htm to read the WHOLE story.
November 1st, 2009
I’m sorry, she just looks a sweet older lady who may be a little lonely. I LOVE to make fun of people who are ignorant enough to leave home looking like a dumbass, but I just can’t see the lady as an object of ridicule.

I’m gonna say….choice #2 would fit walmart best

It’s actually probably a service animal
and stop making fun of her for her weight, do you think it’s easy to exercise in a wheelchair?
November 3rd, 2009
I would so rat her out to the wal mart police. she needs to take ‘babe” back to where he come from. pigs so stupid pets, so are raccoons, goats, and lizards, snakes and anything but cats and dogs.
November 3rd, 2009
does it bother anyone else that this “creatures” hair is the same color as her pigs. what a douche.
November 3rd, 2009
To JP-
Way to think you know everything about service animals and blind people.
Someone who’s legally blind might still be able to see a camera, it depends on the condition and type of blindness. I have visual field problems and am legally blind and I can see things people think I shouldn’t be able to.
A service animal in training doesn’t have to wear a vest (no service animal does!), and certainly not of any specific color. Some training schools might require that, but by law it’s not required.
I’m not saying that pig is a service animal, but you have no idea what you’re talking about.
November 3rd, 2009
I dont care where i take him, its the beginning of the month and this is my time with my kid!!
November 5th, 2009
At Walmart Stores/Sam’s Club there is a policy that only a door greeter or the store manager may ask if the animal is a service animal, if the customer or member says it is there is nothing the store can do. this is probably one of those cases, also it doesnt have to be an animal for the blind or deaf, this animal may help in stressful situtions with its owner as an anxiety animal or be there to help if its owner has a seisure
November 5th, 2009
swine flu
November 5th, 2009
That pig is more attractive, and possibly smarter, than a lot of the human “piggies” roaming around WalMart
November 7th, 2009
What are you talking about? 90% of the pics on this site have at least one pig in them.
November 8th, 2009
Woooo! PIG SOOWIE! Go Razorbacks! Just put a red shirt on it and their ready to go to the game.
November 9th, 2009
She is wearing sweats, and you can see her underwear line, right! The outfit would not be complete with out.

November 14th, 2009
It IS a seeing eye pig, we walked in the store behind her and a friend, the pig was sooo cute I wanted to pet it, but I knew it was a working animal. So I just watched as they headed up the main isle…
November 18th, 2009
Ya this definitely has to be in Spokane. I think I saw the same people in the mall with the pig a while ago…
