The Walmart Crib: Black Friday Edition
Tags: child, kids, shopping

This is absolutely ridiculous. How stupid and reckless could someone possibly be? There really needs to be some sort of parenting test that you have to pass.

Woooow, looks like she’s crying, too. Parenting + Walmart = don’t go together.

November 30th, 2009
AWWW HELL NAWW
November 30th, 2009

November 30th, 2009
WTF….that’s wrong on so many levels!
November 30th, 2009
ridiculous.
November 30th, 2009

November 30th, 2009
Wow! I would have called the cops on that one!
November 30th, 2009
Wow. I’ve no words to express how I feel about this idiot.
November 30th, 2009
the other options were leaving her in the trunk of the car or pulling her around on the leash…
November 30th, 2009
OMG. Where is child services when you need them. That is so dangerous.
November 30th, 2009
wow, one bump and the kid is crushed!!
November 30th, 2009
OMG. Where is child services when you need them. That is so dangerous.
November 30th, 2009
Ooh, I didn’t know toddlers were on sale last Friday! Damn — I knew I should’ve gotten in line sooner!
November 30th, 2009
that is so wrong on so many different levels…..
November 30th, 2009
Its called natural selection. People stupid enough to put their child in that situation should not get to pollute the next generation with their stupidity. And from the looks of this site, there is not enough of it going on.
November 30th, 2009
Oh, you gotta be freakin’ kidding me.
November 30th, 2009
Well at least it looks like he’s buying some toys for the poor kid…
November 30th, 2009
at least they no where the kid is instead of letting them wander around the store unsupervised…….just sayin
November 30th, 2009
It’s a DOLL you idiot!!
November 30th, 2009
Thinning the herd is a good thing.
November 30th, 2009
Aww man he’s going to see what he’s getting for Christmas…No fun
November 30th, 2009
That poor baby!!! Some people are genius’s! How could you do this to your kid? I’ve seen people walk off with buggies at the Blitz…this is not smart!!!! UGH!!!! People do need to take a parenting application LOL.
November 30th, 2009
Some people should have to get a license to spread their legs..idiot
November 30th, 2009
That’s no doll. That’s the only smart human in the store – still sleeping at 5 am.
November 30th, 2009
Amazing!!! Only in the Unites States of America…
November 30th, 2009
Recall on this crib to
Well at least he’s not going any where
November 30th, 2009
if I was there I would’ve said something to the dumb parents! That is totally 100% wrong
November 30th, 2009
What the hell? Good thing you’re buying that kid a scooter, because if I was him I’d be PISSED!
November 30th, 2009
That’s disgusting. Childcare FAIL.
November 30th, 2009
Parenting test… or at least a minimum 12″ of packing material around the kid.
Besides, it’s win-win. OSHA-approved, and kids LOVE bubble-wrap.
November 30th, 2009
Geez. My kid rides in the buggy but she’s 6…and can sit up. Not lay there ready to be thrown into the metal sides when the thing inevitably gets rammed by rabid Black Friday shoppers.
November 30th, 2009
Someone needs their ass kicked for doing this!!
November 30th, 2009
I have a feeling if there was a parenting test people had to take to become parents, our population would be A LOT smaller!!
November 30th, 2009
Honestly, considering the way some people let their kids run wild in Walmart, maybe this parent was laying down the law…”Ok, Jimmy, you didn’t stay next to me the last time we were in here so you have to be contained this time.”
November 30th, 2009
PARENTING FAIL!
November 30th, 2009
That is possible Child Abuse,a sudden bump or stop can send boxes on child.
November 30th, 2009
You would be an idiot to think that’s a doll! A damn big doll too with his legs bent and all…..
November 30th, 2009
El_Viejo its a doll??? Really??? your an idiot…
This is completely shameful….
November 30th, 2009
If someone hits the cart just right, we could all have baby squash!
November 30th, 2009
Good thing they are buying him a scooter, now he can get the hell out of town! Faster little man, faster, don’t look back!
November 30th, 2009
I’d be in favor of testing and licensing requirements to spawn.. This is just further proof that it should happen.
November 30th, 2009
Dont’ be so critical, I am sure they spread newspaper across the bottom of the cart and he has access to a fresh supply of Moutain Dew….
November 30th, 2009
The scooter the kid is getting most likely will be the kid’s nickname when he grows up, especially if all that falls on him. “Hey scooter, take off your helmet, you can lick the windows better!”
November 30th, 2009
Wal-Mart has finally transcended selling Chinese made toys to selling Chinese made babies.
November 30th, 2009
Warning label: Do not expose Wally creature to sources of water.
November 30th, 2009
If someone hits that cart right, we could all have baby squash!
November 30th, 2009
What I dont understand is, why did the person taking this picture NOT say something to these people. You obviously knew that there was something WRONG here or you wouldnt think to yourself.. humm. im going to take a picture of this and put it on the internet. Next time you see something like this.. please tell the parents that if they do not remove their small baby from a situation like that, you will notify someone.
November 30th, 2009
I always say u have to have a license to drive and you oughta have one to be a parent
November 30th, 2009
I love the man with the Budweiser jacket in the backround how much do you have to drink that you should where the jacket proudly
November 30th, 2009
WTF? REALLY? Stupid people should not breed!
November 30th, 2009
I wonder what they use for a crib at home? The oven? That poor kid. What if someone bumped into that cart and the boxes fell on the baby? Another lawsuit against Walmart waiting to happen.
November 30th, 2009
I would rather see this then that STUPID dog leash that is made for kids or better yet LEAVE YOUR KIDS WITH A BABYSITTER!!!
November 30th, 2009
Why would u not report this to someone? If I saw this, I would definately have reported it to an employee or called the police to the store!
November 30th, 2009
Tthey have enough money for all those items, but not enough to buy the kid a snugglie or stroller? Seriously?? People never cease to amaze me.
November 30th, 2009
I have been shopping and my child got tired so I made a nest with coats in the bottom of a shopping cart so he could sleep. GO GET ANOTHER CART FOR YOUR SHOPPING YOU MORON!!!!! YOU DON’T HAVE TO PILE 50 POUNDS OF SHIT PRECARIOUSLY OVER YOUR INFANT!!!! I admit, letting a baby sleep in the cart is a last resort but for fuck sakes, be responsible about it! Pics like this piss me off!
November 30th, 2009
MONEY OVER KID…….LITERALLY!!!! WHAT AN IDIOT
November 30th, 2009
Yeah, I don’t see any issues in that kids future, like claustrophobia, abandonment, sleep disorders…. Makes me feel like mother of the year.
November 30th, 2009
WOW…just WOW. the stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me.
November 30th, 2009
Child endangerment.
November 30th, 2009
and the parent of the year award goes to…
November 30th, 2009
C’mon people, let’s be logical here. The boxes aren’t gonna fall on him. They are wider and longer than the cart. With the scooter box being strategically placed in front of other items that are propped up in the front, if a collision were to occur the box would sustain the full brunt of the impact. Thus leaving “junior” still safe and sound…thankful that this time he is not competing with the cockroaches for his own personal space in the rodent infested trailer of his white trash parents.
November 30th, 2009
Have you people been to WM on Black Friday??? Inside the cart is probably the safest place to be….parenting win!!!
November 30th, 2009
the application for parenthood and the test should all have to be filled out at walmart…since it seems to be the place where these types of people like to congregate…
November 30th, 2009
What’s especially maddening is that people like that are the first ones to sue somebody for what ultimately was their own stupidity.
In this case, the box falls down and hurts the child, the parent(s) then sue Walmart for using too narrow carts.
Come on. Tell me I’m wrong.
November 30th, 2009
Remember folks, help control the idiot population by having your offspring spayed or neutered.
November 30th, 2009
OMG. That picture made my stomach fall to the floor when I saw that baby lying under those heavy boxes. That is just so sad that someone would even think to do that.
November 30th, 2009
WOW! they would rather risk there kids safety and well being for good prices. Now that is what i think Greed means
November 30th, 2009
And then people raise cain over gay adoption… first of all… if this baby belonged to a gay couple, it wouldn’t be in walmart
November 30th, 2009
Too bad Lawyers are getting in the way of natural selection. The box will fall. The kid will die.
That should be the end of the story, but:
The parents will sue. Walmart will settle. The morons get rich and pop out another three kids.
November 30th, 2009
Who brings a baby to Black Friday anyway? One security guard got trampled on and died last year.
November 30th, 2009
Saw this in spades that morning…what idiot even takes their kids to shop on Black friday?!!? That’s what Daddies are for. Babysit while the crazy moms shop at 3 am!
November 30th, 2009
They sell discount imported babies at Wal-Mart?!
Imagine working in the sweatshop where they make ~those~ all day.
*cough*
Sorry…. I drifted off for a moment.
November 30th, 2009
The worst part is that the kid is seeing his Christmas presents. Now his childhood is forever destroyed knowing there is no Santa.
November 30th, 2009
I know there have been times i have let my daughter sleep in the cart…. but i would NEVER stack heavy boxes on TOP of the cart like that! how dangerous!
November 30th, 2009
I can just see this now….They go back to their vehicle, remove the packages from the cart, pile it all up in the backseat, then proceed to drive away.A mile or so later…”I feel like we’re forgetting something.Did we leave a package in the cart?” “OOPS……we left JUNIOR behind”!!!!!!!!
November 30th, 2009
I bet the kid knows what he’s getting for Christmas!!!
November 30th, 2009
How soon before he wakes up and start flinging poo at the gawkers?
November 30th, 2009
All in favor of eugenics, say “aye”!
November 30th, 2009
Damn I didn’t know kids were on sale last Friday.
November 30th, 2009
What a cool fort! Too bad it might kill me!
November 30th, 2009
Personally, I’ve let my child sleep inside the cart like that when shopping. I lay him on my coat and make a small pillow out of the hood, BUT I never put anything over him. We either use another cart or just the seat part up front. I’ve seen a ton of parents do *THAT* but never with something OVER the child like that. *THAT* is appalling!
November 30th, 2009
That is unbelieveable! How cruel! Someone should have called the law over and showed them! What if those boxes slipped??? I hate Black fridays People lose their freaking minds on that day. This so dangerous.
November 30th, 2009
Everyone here has obviously never shopped with kids. Nessecity is the mother of invention.
November 30th, 2009
Hmmm….. Let’s see. One good bump to the cart and we bleach out part of the gene pool. Darwinism in action.
November 30th, 2009
Didn’t this asshole see that there is more than one cart in Walmart stores? Seriously wtf! Find someone to babysit your kids while you go out on black Friday or have someone push the baby in a separate cart! Come on!
November 30th, 2009
I think some people are getting upset of the kiddo being in the buggy and not quite understanding what is lying across the top of the buggy. Putting your child in the buggy isn’t that big of a deal – the big deal is putting the baby on his/her back facing up – with bix boxxes about to tumble down on him and smash his face in….Which is something that should happen to this kids parents.
November 30th, 2009
Wow. Just…wow. If a cop was nearby, could they have arrested the parents for child endangerment? Although, what I don’t get is that someone took a picture of this, instead of, I don’t know, saying, “Hey, get your kid out of there!” It’s like watching the horrible news reels about people trapped in that earthquake in China sometime ago. Put down the camera and HELP!
November 30th, 2009
Preparing your child for future experiences in the county jail… sounds like good ol’ Walmart Parenting to me!
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Walmart%20Children
November 30th, 2009
Didn’t this a$$hole see that there is more than one cart in Walmart stores? Seriously wtf! Find someone to babysit your kids while you go out on black Friday or have someone push the baby in a separate cart! Come on!
November 30th, 2009
wow, I didn’t even see that little kid at first, than I heard the silent screaming of fear, obviously they are not fit to be parents!
November 30th, 2009
Kristin had an excellent point – did the person who took the picture not say something?
I really hope that poor kid wasn’t hurt. I can only imagine how much that cart was getting banged around in the store on Black Friday.
November 30th, 2009
Wow, the shallow end of the gene pool must be very crowded.
November 30th, 2009
reply to Kristen — have you SEEN the people pictured on this site??? If the photographer says something to them, I doubt they’re going to be reasonable and take corrective action. More likely they’re going to be all “how dare you tell me how to raise or take care of my kid, he’s perfectly fine in there, now get out of my face before I kick your ***!!” And that’ll be the mom.
One can only hope that a more reasonable family member might recognize the kid and take the parents to task for doing this.
November 30th, 2009
Was it on sale?
November 30th, 2009
omg.. where is the law to arrest this insane person for putting this infant in danger
November 30th, 2009
Zombie Lady….
Your WRONG To narrow of cart would hod it up better, too wide of cart means it can fall in better.
November 30th, 2009
Two words….forced sterilization!
@ Sir Hates Alot: Yes, we’ve shopped with kids. We just chose to deal with them while not putting them in harm’s way.
November 30th, 2009
Polyester pajamas….$3.99
Cars playset….$6.99
A lifetime of therapy for PTSD….priceless!
November 30th, 2009
This is what you get when stupid people have kids with relatives. Only in the south! Dumb ass hicks!!!!
November 30th, 2009
This is sooo messed up on so many levels! Don’t they make carts with baby seats attached (look kinda like the removable cart seats that hook to shopping carts) . . . And no one else stated that the back of that kid is going to permanently look like a waffle!
It’s sick and wrong on more levels than I can even point out!
November 30th, 2009
these idiots should not be able to multiply
November 30th, 2009
As her young sleeps in its makeshift den, the young mother seeks out sustenance for her young – but, bombarded by temptation, she is quickly distracted by a bright-colored hand bag marked 50% off…
November 30th, 2009
I dont think children shoudl be involved with black friday ! And this is just another example of why!
November 30th, 2009
Ah, much obliged Daniel E. Lynch. I’m a little concept dyslexic. I know what I want to say but sometimes it comes out completely opposite and back-assward.
November 30th, 2009
As I step up on my soap box, let me start with the photographer. I can only hope that they had sense enough to show this to local law enforcement, because Wal-Mart has them out there this time of year. I’d hate to assume that another adult saw this and their only thought was ‘Oh, I can’t wait to upload this to POW’. Next, to the person (and I use that word loosely) who reproduced and made this precious wonder, you’re an idiot. To say that you lack common sense would be an insult to those who actually lack common sense. You’re on ‘dumb-ass’ status. No sale in any department store on ANY day is worth jeopardizing your child’s life for. Finally, someone commented that at least he got toys for Christmas…what good is that scooter going to be when that and the Shop-Vac falls and caves his chest in? I’ve never seen a caskets for sale in Wally World. Stepping off the soap box. Peace and blessings.
November 30th, 2009
Did anyone call Child Services?? Good Grief!! That person should not be allowed to reproduce…due to stupidity!
November 30th, 2009
Something tells me that this is one of the safest things this parent has done! SAD SAD!!!
November 30th, 2009
El_Viejo – Seriously… have you ever looked at this site? If it were a doll, we all would have said ‘meh’ and kept going… But it’s a CHILD! A poor, innocent, sleeping child, just one jostle away from being squashed by his parents’ need to get even lower prices on crap that will break Christmas morning anyway!
November 30th, 2009
This site is proof of the decline of conscience and intelligence in our society, and the pettiness of material greed. I agree, I.Q. Tests should be given, to save mankind from itself. I still love this site, all this blatant idiocy cracks me up, while reminding me of the dumbing down of the herd. How ironic……
November 30th, 2009
Cleaning out the gene pool!
November 30th, 2009
Words simply could not describe this picture and the stupidity of people. And then we wonder why the good people who want kids, have trouble conceiving, but the people who are neglectful, alcoholics, or drug users, have no problem at all, and then put their child in harms way.
November 30th, 2009
Don’t worry sweet kiddies. Santa has got your goodies already for Chrimus!
November 30th, 2009
911 much? This is a photograph of child abuse; if those items shifted that child could have beed crushed! How did the person taking this photo not call for help from someone?
November 30th, 2009
Don’t worry kid. Santa done got y’all yo toys! Tru dat!
November 30th, 2009
Well, its Florida. This is good parenting compared to what else we’ve seen come out of that place.
November 30th, 2009
Santa done got yo kiddies toys from da toes fo tots. Tru dat.
November 30th, 2009
JUST THINK IF SOMEONE HAPPENS TO BUMP THAT CART IN ALL OF THE HEAVY SHOPPING TRACFFIC & THAT HEAVY BOX DROPS ON THAT KID’S HEAD !!!!! DUHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EVER HEAR OF A SECOND CART ??????
November 30th, 2009
That’s it.. It’s official. I am reaching for my passport and suitcase. Marking the date and time on my calendar: “I OFFICIALLY GIVE UP ON AMERICANS!” I’m leaving. I’m out…
November 30th, 2009
I would never do anything like that with my kids, but it isn’t up to any of you on how people raise their kids. I honestly don’t think that you have a right to tell a parent in a store to take their kid out of the buggy. Is it a stupid thing this parent is doing?? Yes. Is it dangerous?? Yes. But I don’t think that any one except for a social worker really has the right to say anything. The problem with the world today is that people never mind their own business.
November 30th, 2009
I’m a little sick to my stomach from this. Disgusting.
November 30th, 2009
How else they gonna make sure the kid doesn’t know what Santa’s bringing???
November 30th, 2009
If I saw this I would probably be saying something not just sitting there taking a picture of it!
November 30th, 2009
Why can’t security escort THESE people back inside to wait for the police.
November 30th, 2009
What a shame. It’s not like the stuff sitting in the baby seat couldn’t have just as well been shoved under that big box on top.
November 30th, 2009
Dammit Florida!!! Why the fuck are all the really fucked up pictures taken in Florida!!! Thank god I am moving.
November 30th, 2009
@Kathymo…Wally World HAS started selling caskets, just go online and take a look! And I agree, that if someone had said something to the parent, they would have gotten all indignant. Best bet, go find security and show them. Hopefully, that happened!
November 30th, 2009
@KATHYMO Walmart does sell caskets and urns for ashes. However, they have to be purchased on line. These morons would puchase the disposeable cardboard, to save a buck.
November 30th, 2009
I’m sure the parents are planning to have more babies, maybe they think the poor lil one is easy to replace.
November 30th, 2009
@Kathymo, Wally World does sell caskets now…just look online! As for the 2nd cart, they were all gone…so that many carts shoved into one store, accident waiting to happen.
November 30th, 2009
aaaa so what if Elroy gets smooshed, I saved $20 on a Ripper, dammit!!
November 30th, 2009
HOLY HELL. THE PARENTING TEST IS CALLED ABORTION – BUT KNOW ONE ACCEPTS IT UNTIL U SEE SHYT LIKE THIS- AND STILL ISNT WIDELY ACCEPTED. I AGREE. GET ANOTHER CART IF YOU CHILD HAS TO BE WITH YOU AND HAS TO SLEEP WHILE YOUR SHOPPING. BETTER YET MAKE YOUR 1ST PURCHASE A STROLLER. EFFIN RIDICULOUS.
November 30th, 2009
This is nothing short of appalling… and this is coming from a childfree chick that can’t stand babies.
And that’s a big freakin’ deal.
November 30th, 2009
“You can’t fix STUPID!!”
November 30th, 2009
What would happen if that fell on that child? Can you say BAD MOMMY!!!!
November 30th, 2009
I am sure if the box did fall on the kid his parents would find a way to sue Wal-Mart for damages.
November 30th, 2009
Usually I come to this site to laugh…but this is just horrifying.
November 30th, 2009
thats how you control your children!
November 30th, 2009
They’re buying him a scooter too. In just a few short years he’ll be riding it out into traffic…
November 30th, 2009
I love all the people on here saying how this is something the typical American does. When, really, it’s the typical behavior of people that come in to this country and bring all that nonsense with them. We didn’t start out as a third world country…
November 30th, 2009
Something tells me I might see this kids face on the back of a Milk carton one of these days…or if he is lucky he might be the next Bubble Boy…
November 30th, 2009
this photo makes me angry. with as crazy as it is on black friday, they should have left the child with a sitter or something. all it would take is one good bump from a person or another cart to send those boxes into the cart on top of that helpless child. this is pure ignorance and inconsideration displayed on the parents behalf. i’m not a perfect parent, but i try to do things that won’t endanger my small child.
incosiderate actions check list:
1. having a BABY out at probably earlier hours in the morning than 5 am, cause they line up early for that stuff.
2. stacking boxes that may not be heavy to the parent, but are probably heavy to the baby hovering over the child, risking the posiibility of them falling and crusing the child.
3. i’m sure there are other reasons, but i can’t think of any others. for the love of crap!!!! they have a shop vac on top of the scooter!!! you can’t tell me that isn’t heavy!
November 30th, 2009
Nice! next time just let the boxes fall on your kid.. then you dont have to even get him anything!
November 30th, 2009
If IQ tests were required for parenting, we’d lose most of the content here and at least half the commentary — then what would I do for my daily laughs?
November 30th, 2009
But you’re only allowed one cart so what are you supposed to do with your kids?
November 30th, 2009
@WTF Do you even know what a third world country is?
you’re an ignorant xenophobe. How do you know the child in the cart or the parents aren’t American? Are you assuming because its Florida that they are Cubans? Got news for ya, there are non Latinos in Florida also.
Bad behavior is not the sole domain of one race or color. PoWM is a site to laugh and quite frankly make fun of badly dressed, strange looking people. yes its wrong, but I laugh along with everyone else. I’ll probably be damned to hell for it, but that’s my business not anyone else. But this is not the place to spew your racist ways.
November 30th, 2009
Wow — At least she’s buyin the kid something he might be able to run away with..
November 30th, 2009
I’m disgusted…they ruined that kids Christmas…buying all his gifts in front of him like that!
November 30th, 2009
That is terrible!!! Parents like that don’t DESERVE to have children!! Never in a million years would I EVER have done this to my two kids!! WOW.
November 30th, 2009
OMG this is terrible!! People like that don’t DESERVE to have children! Never in a million years would I have ever done this to my two children..we always used 2 carts when our kids were small…one for our purchases and one for our kids.
What if that had all fallen in?!? WOW!
November 30th, 2009
Holy crap if that kid wakes up he will know what he’s getting for Christmas. Assuming he isn’t crushed before then.
November 30th, 2009
I don’t get it. They make you fill out all sorts of paperwork, pay fees, do home inspections and interview you non-stop when you want to adopt a child to determine if you’re capable and suited to raise a child. All you have to do to have a child of your own is get pregnant, with no regard of how suited you are for the responsibility.
November 30th, 2009
Come on, dad, at least give him the chance to kill himself by doing something stupid… don’t do it for him.
November 30th, 2009
That baby was probably uncomfortable due to the metal bars on his back, and the blanket is not doing a good job for the comfort part.
November 30th, 2009
the shop vac is being bought incase they need to clean up the blood should those boxes fall. and your calling them stupid. there covering all the bases here. kid stays in one spot, if it lives it gets a scooter. if it gets squished it gets the honor of breaking in daddys new vac.
November 30th, 2009
IN A PERFECT WORLD THE BOXES WOULD DISLODGE, CRUSH THE INFANT, WAL-MART WOULD PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE FUNERAL!!
MORAL -
ONE LESS FRIGGIN’ WHITE TRASH MORON TO PROCREATE AND LOWER THE GENE POOL …
IN OUR LESS THAN PERFECT WORLD, THIS CHILD WILL SURVIVE AND PASS ON HIS LOUSY GENES TO ANOTHER GENERATION!!
WHILE AN INFANT AT AN UPSCALE STORE, WITH MIDDLE CLASS PARENTS, WILL BE CRUSHED TO DEATH AND THE NEXT EINSTEIN WILL HAVE DIED BEFORE HELPING TO SOLVE SOME OF MAN KINDS PROBLEMS!!
AIN’T LIFE A BITCH???
November 30th, 2009
Need more chlorine in the gene pool.
November 30th, 2009
Ok, at first I didn’t see what was wrong and then with a CLOSER look. OMG what the hell people. Can’t we spay and neuter with a discount. Some of POWM need it.
November 30th, 2009
This is wrong and very dangerous. Wal-Management/Police should have been told. THAT BEING SAID….how do we know they weren’t?? Just because a picture was taken doesn’t mean someone didn’t say anything. Keep making accusations people, they only make you look dumber!!
And a doll?? Seriously?? WTH are you smoking??
November 30th, 2009
lmfao! these comments are really bad, some of them….rofl!
November 30th, 2009
At least there’s ventilation.
November 30th, 2009
This seriously makes me want to cry. Consumerism at its lowest point.
November 30th, 2009
this isn’t even funny… it’s just piss poor parenting, seriously.
November 30th, 2009
Remember that sometimes the kids of really stupid people turn out to be super geniuses. God is funny that way.
(As I always say – “Stupid people, God’s way of proving that evolution is bunk!”)
But those people need to be reported to CSS ASAP!
November 30th, 2009
That kid’s going to wake up in heaven– either dead, or staring at all his Christmas gifts.
November 30th, 2009
There really should be parent shopping school. Especially if they take toddlers with them. And they always do.
November 30th, 2009
Did the cops at Walmart not see this and say something? I was shopping on Black Friday and there were cops ALL OVER WalMart, watching people and drinking coffee with their stupid ear hats on. I wonder if they even noticed.
November 30th, 2009
Option A – leave child in trunk of car
Option B – Drag child through store by lease
They chose Option C
November 30th, 2009
It took me a minute to see what was wrong with this picture.. At first I thought it was just a picture of someone who bought a lot of stuff at black friday… then i see that there is a BABY LYING IN THE CART underneath god knows how many pounds of crap that could fall on it at any moment… that is ridiculous!!
November 30th, 2009
Why does everyone assume it’s a father? Dad was out truckin’ for the night. That’s Mommy buyin her man a shop vac– classy.
November 30th, 2009
It actually took me a second to see the kiddo-This is disgusting on so many levels. That poor baby, born to a$$hole parents…If you can even call them parents.
November 30th, 2009
Sadly, this is actually the better alternative to all of the “parents” who just left their children home unattended.
November 30th, 2009
Time to put some more chlorine in the gene pool!!!
November 30th, 2009
*sick feeling in pit of stomach*
oh, please, please, for the love of Heaven, TELL me that is a doll and not a small child…
November 30th, 2009
SO not a doll you morons. What is wrong with people? If they don’t want to be parents there are many families out there who would love to adopt. I do hope this kid is one of the lucky ones and comes out better than the average person because his parents are crap and he doesn’t want to end up like them.
November 30th, 2009
To the person who’s pushing that cart, Here’s your sign: *******STUPID*******
November 30th, 2009
There Is a parenting test you must take— BUT———- its only for Adoptive Parents….as if… SOMEHOW– the fact you didn’t give BIRTH to a child some how affects your parenting skills… or lack thereof as indicated in this photo.
IF all parents had to go thru what adoptive parents do———- well, there would be less children I’m sure!
Guess those people would probably SUE wALMART if thoes boxes fell in & hurt the baby— they would say “I didn’t KNOW that big things might slip off & fall INSIDE the cart—why didn’t anybody WARN ME??? Give me 10 million and little Johnny’s broken ribs & disfigured face will be ok”
geez
November 30th, 2009
That kid has got no chance in life. Someone wee-weed in their parents gene pool.
November 30th, 2009
omg the parents of this baby have to be stupid as hell what if that would have fell on top of him or her
November 30th, 2009
I saw two of these when I was out on black friday. A woman had two carts with her two little ones sleeping on pillows, while she pushed one and her son who looked 10-12 was pushing the other cart.
November 30th, 2009
Just evidence that more people need to get out of the gene pool.
November 30th, 2009
@Commontater:
AMEN!!!! I am a professional woman in my mid 40s. I have a Master’s Degree and a successful career. I am a leader in my church and a leader in my community. Yet, I still cannot adopt a child due to the combination of my single marital status and age. And people like this are somehow allowed to have children and either neglect them or put them in harms way…. Okay, I’m going to stop now; I’m getting upset on a whole new level….
November 30th, 2009
Don’t forget , have your WM crawlers spayed or neutered. Yo Barker , we need you !!
November 30th, 2009
I think I would have walked up to the parents and kicked them in the shins for being such enormous fucktards! In fact I hope this picture is shown to the kid when he/she gets older so he/she can kick them a few good times.
November 30th, 2009
Ok, I will admit, my kids have slept in the cart at Wal-mart, but never, NEVER would I consider putting something like that over my baby.
November 30th, 2009
and they will probly wonder why cps shows uup at the door. geez wtf is wrong with people
November 30th, 2009
I think the kid had it right though. I would have rather slept through the Black Friday sales myself!
November 30th, 2009
OMG I have three children and I’ve never put any of them in a position where they could get hurt like that. That’s just bad parenting.
November 30th, 2009
Aside from the parent’s being moron’s by intentionally putting your kid in danger, how about the W-M employees? I know it’s a busy store but you can’t tell me someone else didn’t see this and was like wtf? They just don’t say anything, they’re just as bad.
People need to stop being so sensitive, people need to speak up more when they see something like this, nobody is perfect and if I was doing something really, really stupid w/my kid in hand I’d hope that someone would have the balls to say “Hey lady, you’re fucking up!”
November 30th, 2009

Save this photo for evidenve when little Billy decides to divorce from his parents.
November 30th, 2009
When I first saw this, I thought “what’s the big deal? It’s not there is a kid in the buggy…” Then I got a closer look. Oooooh
November 30th, 2009
this site makes me feel better and better about the mommy i am. i feel guilty going to college and being too tired to play when i get home. atleast my kids aren’t in danger of dying at walmart.
November 30th, 2009
florida
November 30th, 2009
Wow. POW~m is supposed to be a funny happy-go-lucky site. Oh look, there’s a fat chick. Haha. Oh look, guy dressed funny. Haha. Oh look… parents endangering an innocent little life they are supposed to love and cherish above all. no-so-haha. Not even the slightest bit funny. I’m just disgusted at the parents, the cameraman, and every person that saw this and didn’t put a stop to it.
November 30th, 2009
Reckless????
Is her mother Bella Swan? That explains it all.
November 30th, 2009
Well, so what if Junior lost his life when all of that weight collapsed on him….We saved a whopping $20 on all of this crap that WalMart sells!!
IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!
November 30th, 2009
I think Holy Shit pretty much covers this one.
November 30th, 2009
A) this individual is not over 18, as per the rules stated on this site and B) this individual probably did not give their permission to have this photo taken. This should be pulled from the site.
November 30th, 2009
oh cheese and rice people, that little boy is sleeping and seems fine. i guess you all are just parents of the year. the boxes go over the edge of the cart, even if bumped, they wont’ cave in. we all have big balls on here dont’ we?? everyone would just march right up to those parents screaming their indignation…right.
November 30th, 2009
Not kewl at all didnt any other shopper say a thing. what about the person who took the pic they must have know it was F’d and did see it . What about the wal-Mart employees or was they just happy they are selling things. As many people there it would have just took a bump to shift all that the wrong way
November 30th, 2009
But…. there’s stuff in the baby seat. they could just put the baby in the seat, and the stuff in the cart. This isn’t even NECESSARY. a. beat them. b. tar and feather them. c. shoot them.
November 30th, 2009
See the reasoning here is that if you put the child in the seat, he’s just going to hog all the room that the mom needs for all the loot. She would have done better to just strap him to the rack under the cart. Face down. Kid would have had a blast.
Watch your fingers, little guy!
November 30th, 2009
did somebody say.. ……………….RECKLESS???
November 30th, 2009
@ LITTLEMARY,.. As a mother of THREE children, (a set of twins and a 6 month old baby) when my family & I go to Walmart to get supplies, I normally push my twins in a stroller, and I have the baby strapped to my chest. If on the rare occasion we do not have the double stroller, I put all of the kids in a cart (after it is lysol’d), and my husband pushes another cart for all of the groceries,..the twins sit down in the shopping cart and I leave the baby in his carseat carrier and put that on TOP of the cart where it safely attaches and locks across the kid seat. I’m not by any means “parent of the year” but I do use common sense and I would know BETTER than to ever have any of my children at a Black Friday sale at Walmart.. Getting junk cheaper isnt worth putting your kid’s life at risk! Walmart.com had most of the same freakin sales with .97 shipping!
November 30th, 2009
jesus h. christ on crutches. it’s one of those “when you see it, you’ll shit bricks” pictures. and when i saw it i wanted to throw shit at the parents.
November 30th, 2009
That has to be the most irresponsible thing I’ve seen in a long time!!!
November 30th, 2009
Haha.. and they grow up and vote… and we wonder why we are in the situation that we are in.. WTF?? haha
November 30th, 2009
You guys are all pussies. Who the hell cares?
November 30th, 2009
I am glad they took a pic just for proof. What they needed to do (and I hope the picture taker did) was after taking the proof picture call CPS on their butts and get the child into a safe environment. I understand that as a parent we can do stupid things in stressful situations but this looks pretty thought out. A few solutions would be A backpack child carrier WORN properly, an additional cart for the child to sleep in, a stroller…Any of these things sound too sensible I guess. They’re his toys anyhow let HIM carry them. Sad just sad.
November 30th, 2009
And if all that crap falls and smashes the kid, they will probably try to sue the store.
November 30th, 2009
Come now, I’m sure that meets OSHA standards.
November 30th, 2009
Why didn’t someone call the police?????? This child could have been seriously injured!
November 30th, 2009
And this is how they manage the kid out in public- Just imagine what’s going on at home. Probably got a nice little dog cage to put him so he doesnt mess with stuff and break it.
November 30th, 2009
This should be a child services referall! If they do this in PUBLIC what is being done at home?!
November 30th, 2009
Why didn’t someone call the cops? I would have.
November 30th, 2009
kelli,,,,,,,, 5 to 1 say’s the kid dont have a daddy at home,,,,,, peep’s like this never can keep one, all they do is reproduce for more welfare,,,,,,,, the kid need’s to be taken away,,,,,,,,,
November 30th, 2009
Bad as it is, this is not nearly as dangerous as riding a kid on a motorcycle on city streets- which is something l see being done all the time. That box would not even fit into that buggy unless you turned it on end.
November 30th, 2009
i seen something just like this in the waco (texas) store 2 yrs. ago,i said something to the “”lady”" and she cut loose on me with word’s i hadn’t heard since my army day’s,,,,,,,,, soooooooooooo i went to the counter and had the sale’s lady call security,,,,,,,, he showed up,we hunted the “”lady”" down,,,,,,,,,, and he said he seen nothing wrong with that,,,,,,,,,, i wonder what happen when she got to the “”"smooth”"” parking lot ??? just hope the kid survived,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, way to go dumb ass mother’s of wally world,,,,,,,
November 30th, 2009
His parents are getting him ready for his adult life in jail….
November 30th, 2009
i think the kid is sleeping not crying. although stupid…..it’s interesting!
November 30th, 2009
not saying its okay but the kid probably fell asleep in the car before they put those boxes there and after grabbing the heavy boxes they decided to put it on top so they don’t disturb the child.
However its stupid because they could have picked up the kid, woke it up, or grabbed another car.
November 30th, 2009
Unfortunately, these days, store employees cannot say anything negative at all to a customer, even if the customer is violating store policy or endangering others. Why not? Because, if they do, the customer will complain to the manager, and threaten never to come back to the store again. The manager, having lost a customer, will then fire the employee, who is eminently replaceable. In this economy, there is a surplus of people willing to work lousy hours for little pay.
I’ll bet good money that no Wal-Mart employee said a darn thing to the person pushing that cart. Don’t want to lose a sale, now do we?
November 30th, 2009

I agree with YVESPAUL! Wasn’t that guy about 6’5″ 250? This is sickening!
November 30th, 2009
These are the kind of people who will sue, and win, when the box falls on baby, who will be in hospital for 6 months…but recover and be millionaires in the end. “Judge, It was Black Friday and Walmart did not have enough carts, not to mention that the merchandise did not fit! It is all Walmarts fault, sir!!!!”
Caution….Hot Coffee. Coffee will be hot. Hot can burn, Hot coffee can burn
November 30th, 2009
modern times and technology mean less natural selection at work. people are stupider today than 100 years ago, and more than 1000 years ago! as for the kid, of course its wrong! but there is SO much child abuse going on. and the kids PROBABLY not going to be hurt. if you all are so angry here, then donate to CPS (child protective services) because they have had funding cuts and not as many social workers are available. so DO something people!
November 30th, 2009
must have been a special on kids in aisle 5…hope they don’t run out of them before I get there.
November 30th, 2009
ya know we report people for spanking thier kids in public, and yet think of all the people who saw this poor kid who could of gotten crushed, i can feel my brain cells dying realizing the stupidity of these parents… i vote for mandatory application process to reproduce whose with me?
November 30th, 2009
Okay, obviously this could turn into a dangerous situation… and how much more awful to be injured by your own Christmas gifts??? Best case scenario is that the kid wakes up and sees the gift right above him, and the Christmas surprise is ruined.
I was shocked at how many people I saw on Black Friday who were shopping with their (miserable) two, three, four yr olds – both parents there. Why couldn’t one stay at home with the poor melting-down-from-too-much-shopping/noise/insanity children? I am all about mother-baby togetherness in the first couple years, but a baby in-arms could handle this much better than the poor toddler/preschooler group that gets dragged along on every shopping excursion!
November 30th, 2009
I wonder if this is the same parent who placed her older child in a cardboard box, atop a mini van and then drove down the highway. She told the cop that she didn’t have room in the van for the box and the weight of the child would keep the box from blowing away.
This poor child, whether asleep or not, whether 5am or any other time does not deserve to be drug out of the house just because Wal-Mart has/had a major special! Just goes to prove that priorities are more important to some people than their own kids!
Seriously, parents like these need to be taken out in to a field and just capped off, rid them of society.
November 30th, 2009
To “kathymo” – caskets are available online, but not in stores
November 30th, 2009
“Why did you not report this to an employee?”
You’re kidding, right? Did you ever even SEE a WM employee on Black Friday? They’re all curled up in a fetal position in the storeroom!
November 30th, 2009
One shift of a box and she has one less child to buy for. I am not sure is if she can see over the boxes and she has another child leading the way. They say stupid is as stupid does. There has to be a far worse category we can but this shopper in. Someone buy this lady “The book for Dummy’s on how to put children in a shopping cart”
November 30th, 2009
Just another example of why the world was better off when natural selection was still in play
November 30th, 2009
Definition of irony: That scooter sitting over top the kid is probably his own Christmas present.
November 30th, 2009
Geez…..if Dept of Human Services or Child Protective Services saw that, they’d go ballistic………..
November 30th, 2009

November 30th, 2009
I do hope the photographer had the moral decency to follow them out, get their plate number, and *report them*, having already gotten photographic evidence. That is criminal and so not funny.
November 30th, 2009
If the kid wasn’t so sleepy he’d be loving that cart fort his parents built for him.
November 30th, 2009
Those people should not be allowed to have children.
November 30th, 2009
That is survival of the fittest. If it is fit to pass down its genes, it will find a way to survive that parenting.
Sort of live evolution…if I believed in evolution….except in peopleof walmart, I am starting to see the connection between humans and their more civilized ancesters the ape!
November 30th, 2009
Since the child seems content (sleeping?). It’s probably not the first time this child has been in this situation.
As for the people busting on FL, most the people here are not from this state, they are morons who moved here from the other 49. Very rare to find one of us natives. Had that been my Wal Mart, I would have said something.
November 30th, 2009
that is just reckless endangerment. I hope that child is ok
November 30th, 2009
Maybe it’s a kidnapping.
November 30th, 2009
The sad thing this was not an isolated incident. In Georgia we had two parents that letft their 9 month old and 8 year old in a shopping cart for an hour at the front of the store while they shopped. I think WalMart need to have a child service office in the stores.
November 30th, 2009
Maybe they got the kid in trade…. you can name your price when you’ve got the last $5.00 dvd player
November 30th, 2009
WOW someone PLEASE get the info and report this “Mother” for doing this, hope that baby makes it to be a freaking year old!
Can anyone say CHILD ENDANGERMENT!
November 30th, 2009
I hope that after this pic was snapped a call was made to the local child protective services for an opinion.
November 30th, 2009
Dear Lord…… this is evidence that sterilization would be a great thing. It always seems that the dumber the person the more fertile they are. I worked with a family where at age 35 Mom had 9 kids (all went through special ed) and the oldest was 24….. you do the math there….. yes, 11. Fricking 11 years old and then she continued to reproduce every 18-24 months like clockwork. Meanwhile we will be supporting all their @$$es for the remainder of their lives. Like other said…. we make people pay 10s of thousands of dollars to adopt and jump through hoops and scream when gays want to adopt but idiots like this are allowed to procreate all they want. There should be a minimum IQ of 110 to reproduce…..
November 30th, 2009
I’d have reported it the minute I saw this happening. Some people do things like this on purpose just so something could happen and they could sue the store! Such parents need to be taken into custody or the child taken away from them until they can be ‘responsible’ parents, and not be so greedy buying ‘stuff’ that they’ll put that ahead of taking care of their children. What is this world coming to? And to think these may be the ones to run our country next!!!
November 30th, 2009
makes me wish i was there so i could have reported this they desirve to have there kids taken away
November 30th, 2009
oh stfu kristen. who cares what you do and don’t do? shall i bow down to you oh mommy of the year?
November 30th, 2009
I really hope whoever took this picture reported it to cps. That is not only dangerous, it is very bad parenting.
November 30th, 2009
Even i would do shopping this way on the Black
Friday as my shopping list is always very big.
November 30th, 2009
This one isn’t funny. I hope someone called management and 911. Is Mother Nature so desperate for people to reproduce that she allows asshole like this to have children? I hope the parents of this kid get run over by a semi-truck trailer on the way home while the kid awaits proper foster care.
November 30th, 2009
I hope these “parents” were run over on their way to the trash bin they live in.
November 30th, 2009
I hate parents who take their shit kids shopping. What is this herd mentality white trash has?! One can go to the store and the other can stay home with the spawn. Gas these stupid people.
November 30th, 2009
What I find amusing is that the person who took this picture probably didn’t even say anything to this waste of life, so called “mother”.
November 30th, 2009
perhaps the shittiest part of this is that this person thinks she is being smart–”i can take out the chitlins AND get sumthin for pa and ma…”
November 30th, 2009
HA! i was in CT on black friday morning and saw the same damn thing! only my witnessing event had a freaking pillow in the cart!
November 30th, 2009
It is NOT a doll idiots! That child could easily be crushed and hemorrhage internally should those very heavy boxes shift and fall into the cart. I would have called the cops immediately and probably gotten into the parent’s faces too. Is it so hard for these fat tubs of lard to GO GET ANOTHER CART?
November 30th, 2009
I was there, and can tell you that their other six kids (oldest was 8) were super careful stacking that load.
December 1st, 2009
Did any one notice that there is stuff inside the cart on top of the child as well? I know it doesn’t appear to be heavy items, but these people just don’t think. I don’t even have words to describe whats going on above the child.
December 1st, 2009
Years later when gown up, solitary confinement seemed oddly familar….
December 1st, 2009
this makes me want to cry. what if that was you. the helpless child. man.
December 1st, 2009
terrible, yes, but at least now the little bastard hellspawn can’t run around screaming, knocking people and things over….
December 1st, 2009
I may have to side with the Government now that will soon dictate if parents are allowed to home school their children based upon Background checks..etc
December 1st, 2009
My heart sank when I saw this.
What I don’t understand is why the person who took the picture, obviously knew it was wrong, did not report it to an employee, manager, or called the police, child services. I hate to think what that poor little child’s life is like at home. I hope someone reported them and the child is taken away from them.
December 1st, 2009
All other questions aside, how in the hell does bringing your toddler to Wal-Mart on Black Friday seem like a good idea?
December 1st, 2009
I gasped.
December 1st, 2009
what sickens me is he basically is stating that his money saving is more important then the childs life. douche bag
December 1st, 2009
Child protective services needed in isle 3! I have to agree that their should be a law that in order to have kids you need a license and getting that license requires tests and skills..OMG, the future of America is in TROUBLE!
December 1st, 2009
This is bull……I have 7 children 3 which are grown now and a 8month old grandson…..I have NEVER done this to my children or even have thought of it.!!!! Safety is first when it comes to little ones…. There is no excuse for these parents..!!!!!! MY youngest kids (9yr old Twins) know better than something like this that could hurt an infant….And I agree Were is Child Protective services when you need them???? Pure LAZY parents not wanting to “pay” for a sitter or pull another cart….How effin hard is that???? People like this make me sick t my stomach.!!!!!!!!!!
December 1st, 2009
WOW, stuck in, basically, a metal cage. With parents like that I can already see that kids future.
December 1st, 2009
doomed i tell ya! DOOOOOMED!!
December 1st, 2009
Maybe they are using the trolley as a crib. Saves buying a pushchair.
December 1st, 2009
Looks like we weed to put another “stupid parent” warning on the shopping cart. Remind parents how not to hurt their kids. So sad.
December 1st, 2009
He’s just resting up for his Hell in the Cell match with Triple H
December 1st, 2009
Don’t worry, I’m sure if they lose this kid there’s another six or so in the truck out in the parking lot. And they’ve rolled up all the windows and locked the doors just to be extra safe. Can’t be too careful.
December 1st, 2009
is that a live Chucky doll in there?
December 1st, 2009
Now think about it. If the box is to big to fit in the cart it is not going to fall in on the child. Better than one I saw that morning. The child was awake and looked sick.
December 1st, 2009
For all you people yelling child protection why don’t you go to Wal Mart and get this box and see if it could possibly fall into the cart and harm the child. The box is bigger than the cart and doesn’t seem possible that it could fall into the cart. Like putting a square peg into a round hole.
December 1st, 2009
Somebody needs to beat those parents @$$!!
December 1st, 2009
I myself almost got trampled last year during black Friday and this year now that I have a baby I didn’t go because they still have good deals when everyone has left and calmed down. I’m not putting my kid in danger of crazies trying to buy everything they can all at once.
December 1st, 2009
How can this sort of thing happen in a civilised country ?
December 1st, 2009
Hey, at least they were buying the child a pair of the $3 pajamas!
December 1st, 2009
@N….watch Idiocracy- you will love it!
Also, do you know how heavy those shop vacs are? Like 15 pounds each (I know because I had to lug two around through target once). And I’ll assume a scooter is more…srsly…wtf???
December 1st, 2009
all I can do is shake my head and say WHAT A DUMB ASS
makes me proud of liveing here in Florida
December 1st, 2009
OMG, is that stuff actually on the kid too? Um, Child Services? Anybody? What a total JACK ASS! I seriously cannot believe this… I would like to have a “talk” with the parent of that poor kid… maybe shove them under some boxes…
December 1st, 2009
she took the GED for Parenting.
December 1st, 2009
Just when you think you’ve seen it all…
December 1st, 2009
I say F the Police and child servises. they not gonna do nothin like always. but i would a had to put my foot up a motha f-er a$$ like I do.

The photographer should`ve followed that idiot to the parking lot and written down the licence tag, and then reported it to the police. The photograph would`ve been enough evidence to arrest the idiot for child endangerment.
Epic fail

R u kidding me? that is crazy…. someone should call the Child protective services……..that is call illegal restraint isn’t it
December 1st, 2009
Are you kidding me how stupid can some parents be? That is not only dangerous but it is illegal restraint. Did anyone call child service on that parent? Apparently Black Friday shopping was more important than that poor child safety.
December 1st, 2009
Yeah,Yeah,Yeah,…You folks complaining about this picture need to wake up and realize you cannot stop the process of natural selection. The gene pool WILL chlorinate itself.

The kid is asleep and there is no way those boxes could possibly fall on that child.
Chill out people. Or go ahead and report it with your self-righteous butt; watch the authorities do nothing – because wait! oh! what? THE CHILD IS NOT ACTUALLY IN DANGER
December 1st, 2009
This is wrong and they should have been reported to the authories if those boxes had shifted that baby would have been hurt .
December 1st, 2009
The fact that it was probably 3 am and they forced their kids to get up that early just to go shopping combined with placing heavy objects over a sleeping child… they’re not going to be getting parent of the year awards, that’s for sure. Maybe a call to CPS.
December 1st, 2009
I wonder if a gigantic shopping cart shouldn’t be built, and put momma or dadda in it; pile a bunch of junk on top of them, and then wheel it around in the midst of black friday shoppers. See how they like it.
December 1st, 2009
It doesn’t look all that unsafe, those boxes are clearly too large to fall in and crush that baby and I am sorry but any mom worth her salt has at some point or another had to balance, baby, packages, cart and dig for keys without crushing baby it can totally be done. That was probably the safest place for the child and at least for crying out loud its not screaming and weaving thru other people’s legs. My 5 y/o would totally think “hiding” from people like that was a game. My kids stay with Nana for BF cause I dont slow down that day, but they have had to go on many a shopping trip. I dont always have someone else to help and it isnt always an option to push two carts. stop being so judgemental.
December 1st, 2009
And the worst part is that the kid is not going to be surprised when he opens his Christmas gifts.
December 1st, 2009
I know several other people have already mentioned this, but I’m gonna do it again. Use a little bit of common sense here, people. The box is both wider and longer than the cart…how on earth would it fall into the cart and crush the child??? I could see where someone standing beside the cart might be in danger of being crushed, as the boxes are more likely to fall off the cart than into the cart. However, if there wasn’t a child inside the cart, no one would be concerned at all about the boxes sitting on top of the cart.
And are we really going to sit here and complain about people taking their kids shopping on Black Friday?? For one, we don’t know for sure that this picture was actually taken on Black Friday. None of us know for sure when this picture was taken…it could have been 6pm on a Tuesday, and the kid just happened to conk out (it happens). For two…even if it IS Black Friday, some people don’t have anyone else to watch the kids – and some people buy things on Black Friday that they wouldn’t normally be able to afford. Not everyone who goes to Walmart is white trash. That could be a single mother who lost her husband in an accident this year and who just wants to try to make her kids’ first Christmas without their dad a little better. Or, she could be the wife of a service member who’s deployed overseas. You don’t know a person’s situation just from looking at a picture.
I know that as soon as this post hits, everyone is going to start clicking the dislike button and it’ll become one of those “Hidden due to low comment rating” posts. That’s usually what happens to the posts that might actually make a little sense. Oh well…I tried.
December 1st, 2009
OMG wow
December 1st, 2009
This is truly upsetting
December 1st, 2009
Walmart = white trash….. very good example here
December 1st, 2009
really, really?! Is it really that important to go shopping? What no babysitters? No family? No one you could leave the kid with? Don’t give me that crap about not enough money for a babysitter either. If you have enough money for Christmas presents then you have enough money for a babysitter.
December 1st, 2009
this is why I don’t shop at walmart! I would be the one to throw the boxes to the floor and take the child to the nearest child services person, kicking ass every step of the way! there is NO excuse for this.
December 1st, 2009
He’s getting some pretty nice crap, all thanks to your tax dollars at work. Yeah welfare!
December 1st, 2009
It will be okay Sally..Just think about how daddy feels spending everyday like that. Now whose gonna be the good baby huh?
December 1st, 2009
if you throw a bag of charcoals in the bottom rack you’ll have a awfuly tasty & tender meal for a family of 4
December 1st, 2009
This is outrageous! Anyone making jokes about it in all these replies should receive a parenting test too. This is nothing to laugh about. If someone had done that to my child at this age, I would have had them arrested or fined or something so fast their head would spin.
Grr.
December 1st, 2009
This is so wrong! The kid is totally going to see his is getting the 6-volt Motorized Ripper for Christmas! At least cover the kids face with something!
December 1st, 2009
I would slap the dad out of principal if i saw that crap. Id have my g/f slap the mom. If these parents are this stupid natural selection will dictate that this child has no parents by age 4.
December 1st, 2009
Hell No!
December 1st, 2009
aww, c’mon. yeah, it’s irresponsible, but at least the little bastard hell-spawn isn’t running around, crashing into people and objects… wtf is the kid doing shopping with the parents anyway? it’s definitely young enough to still believe in santa.
December 1st, 2009
Get A Grip has a good point. Also, what makes everyone think it’s ok to just up and leave your kids with sitters all the time? Now THAT is negligence!
December 1st, 2009
@ jojo
I beg to differ. The problem with the world today is that too many people DO mind their own buisness and are too scared to tell people off for doing stupid, dangerous things. If you don’t want to go and confront the mother yourself you go and get a security guard. There is no excuse for something like this.
December 1st, 2009
This image is so very wrong. First of all the parent should have gotten two shopping carts instead of the one! One for the child and the other for all the stuff. Common, thats just out right wrong, what if the load shifted and fell insde the cart where the little child was? The child would be crushed! What if that cart had been bumped into from another cart, the child would have been injured from the impact! If it were me I would have said something, or gotten the security gaurd like LIZM said. But, then again we do live a world were no one is perfect and people do stupid and dangerous things/stuff all the time. We are just humans remeber that!
December 1st, 2009
This is absolutely ridiculous. How stupid and reckless could someone possibly be? I don’t see a helmet with that scooter!

December 1st, 2009
Please don’t feed the baby.
December 1st, 2009
WOW just wow took me to forever to figure out this wasnt a doll
December 1st, 2009
WOW! That’s awful. Those boxes could easily slip and fall on that poor baby. I’ve had boxes on a cart like that before (minus the baby underneath) and it’s pretty difficult to keep them in place while pushing the cart. Not to mention the fact that they’ve got stuff in the cart piled on top of him!!
I’m going to print this and when people ask me why I hate WalMart, I’ll simply show them the picture.
December 1st, 2009
Wow… at first I didn’t even notice and thought “what’s the problem with this”? I simply cannot believe it….. F’ing scumbags….
December 1st, 2009
Normally I don’t comment on these stupid things, because there are SO MANY out there… but this one DEFINITELY takes the cake as THE STUPIDEST, MOST INSENSETIVE, AND OBLIVIOUS PARENT ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!!! LEAVE YOUR CHILD AT HOME NEXT TIME YOU FREAKIN’ IDIOT!!!!
December 1st, 2009
This picture first of all made me feel sick to my stomach, and then once I had processed it a bit made me SO FREAKIN ANGRY! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE! Children are our gifts for god’s sake! What kind of idiot would even THINK of doing this? Seriously, morons should not be allowed to reproduce….

How hard is it to get another basket ?

Hmmmmm, this is a little crazy. I swear some people have the common sense of a Kiwi!!!! (that’s the fruit not the bird)
December 1st, 2009
I have a similar Shop Vac to the one in the pic, it weighs a good 13 or 14 lbs! Plus the weight of the scooter . One bump and that baby girl is in the emergency room .
Also notice the seat (probably with a strap to hold her in ) is full of even more merchandise and folded up . I would have put my daughter in the seat and given her a toy , or somthing to keep her busy . Made two trips if I had to . Folks just don’t use thier brain somtimes..
December 1st, 2009
Pretty sure this picture was taken in Pinellas Park, Florida!!

To the person taking the picture: Put DOWN the camera, pick UP your cell phone and dial Child Protective Services! :O
December 1st, 2009
to KATHYMO:
Actually they DO sell caskets at walmart. http://www.walmart.com
it’s a sad state of affairs when soemthing like this picture happens AND that wally world sells caskets.
We’ve entered the 7th circle of hell now.
December 1st, 2009
what is worse? the fact that theres a kid somewhere in there. or the fact that someone took a picture of it and didnt report it to the cops.
December 1st, 2009
Sorry, but the kid is safer in the cart than the normal place he would be, standing right beside the cart. Much more danger of falling boxes beside the cart. I’d also rather have my kid in a safe place I know where he is, than if he was running loose where he could be kidnapped and I’d may never see him again. Or being molested by a babysitter at home…(which happens a lot)
December 1st, 2009
and who do you think would be the first one to sue Wal Mart if the baby had been hurt???? please when you see this crap going on say something to the idiots or security, don’t just wait for something to happen…
December 2nd, 2009
Seriously Kristie? SERIOUSLY?
He or she couldn’t have been left with a close family friend or relative?
Molestation is incredibly tragic and leaves a life long impact but so does death, and leaving the child with say, it’s father or grandmother, is a lot safer than, you know, under a pile of boxes that could crush it.
I hope you aren’t a parent. You’re paranoid. Kidnapped indeed – it happens but the chances are lower than you seem to think.
December 2nd, 2009
They’re just getting him used to being behind bars!
December 2nd, 2009
Oh please, that kid is quite safe. First of all, the box over the top of the cart isn’t going to fall on him for the simple fact that it’s too big to fit into the cart. Second, it’s not heavy enough to crush him. Third, it looks pretty stable.
December 2nd, 2009
I work for Wal-Mart and I have to say you get some idiots. Top story was 2 years ago in my store, some bimbo dropped her infant on the concrete floor reaching for a damn DVD player. You really want to beat people with a stupid stick. Obviously it wouldn’t hurt them!
