People really shouldnt judge ppl so fast. This guy has gone WAY beyond what the law required for safety. Gwen is loved and well taken care of and is teaching ignorant people every day. This tigers name is Gwen, she's one of my best friends tigers, by adoption only because she's completely harmless and her left paw is completely cripped, I've even been in her real cage with her... Like JOJO said, the owners take Gwen almost everywhere, they live right down the road from me. It's not like she hates it, she loves going for rides, and if you think it's cruel, it's not anymore cruel than putting a stupid getup on your dog or cat and expect him or her to like it, or leaving your pet in the car while you run in to Wal*Mart to get your groceries. Though it is not ideal conditions for a tiger I still don't see it as being a good thing and honestly can't tell you if she is happy or healthy. What I can tell you is that this tiger goes for MANY cars rides in that cage much like someone would take a dog out for a ride. I will throw this out there a MAJOR nono in the world of large predators is that they shouldn't be given things like basketballs, bowling balls, etc due to they resemble the human head and this lovely little lady has a nice bowling ball that she loves to roll around....... rednecks should never own large predators. I didn't read all the comments here but the person from the big cat rescue place can attest, you DON'T transport a big cat in the back of a freaking pickup. Hasn't anyone ever watched Animal Planet? I am a total, solid, never ending animal lover. This person shouldn't be shot. That would be too quick. Like the a$$h0le$ who abuse their dogs, cats and ever other animal that has to endure, he/she needs to be locked up in the cage. Sit in their own crap and piss. Go days without water and food. Weeks without any companionship from their own kind. Then and only then should they be prosecuted to the fullest. Unless and until people like this are publicly prosecuted, for all to see, massive fines and forbidden to EVER own any life form larger than a germ will it ever stop. The shocker is, most likely, many people just walked by this magnificent animal and did nothing. Anyone recall that dog over in Europe or somewhere. The one in the art exhibit that was chained up and allowed starve to death in a public art exhibition? If I were to see this, I would have ASPCA, Humane Society, PETA and anyone else there as fast as I could.
