How sad is that? Sun bathing in WM parking lot behind your RV! (Oh ya, why would anyone wanna park the most expensive thing they own in a WM parking lot to sleep or sun bath?)

Nuttin’ better then rollin’ out of the RV in the morning, stumblin’ into the walmart McD’s for breakfast in your pajamas and catchin’ some rays while you empty the shitter into a storm drain….ahhhhh the life!
….thank you for that vacation you’ve been promising me….

In Florida, it probably IS “right near da beach” – and they’d rather watch traffic and bake on the asphalt than watch waves and surfers on the sand? Yeesh. Oh well… maybe they’ll get some good pictures of people on the lot to post for us.
I’ve heard Walmart lets people camp lik this: they call it ‘boondocking’. Hey- after a good rain: some big puddles, a few seagulls fighting over some french fries = beach!

its true, walmart allows RVs in their parking lots, and they encourage it cause it means repeat daily business from the lot. My FL walmart always has several RVs parked for days on end.

travellers often park overnight in walmart parking lots. they claim to be safe havens for truckers and travellers. they won’t tow you or call the cops they are also monitored by cameras, so if you’re afraid of falling asleep behind the wheel find the nearest walmart and get some rest.
If that’s what retirement is like, I’ma keep working till I DIE!

What’s so wrong with this? Maybe they stayed overnight there. Walmart allows RVs and truckers to park overnight. My family does this, and I’ll usually wake up before them and just grab a lawn chair and sit outside if its nice out. Hell, I’m usually sitting out there for a couple hours. Great, now I’ve got to worry about the next time I go on a trip with my family that some jackass is going to take my picture because I’m “camping” at the Walmart.

They look very warm and comfortable by a nice RV, in a clean parking lot….That is paradise compared to where I am now. Shit, I’m jealous. The only thing funny here is I am some looser gawking at them on the internet….
However, siting outside, as if you’re at a campsite, is trailer trashy…Open the windows, and sit INSIDE…

Not sure if anyone knows this but I saw on a news channel 9 years ago that if you have an RV you are allowed to basically live at Walmart. Walmart allows it as long as they are seen going in and buying stuff, and think about it they said if 100,000 people nationwide are parking their RV’s and are spending an average of at least $20 a day, that’s $2,000,000.00 in their pocket. Hell they can park on my street and buy shit from my house!

Obviously they are “snowbirds” from up north. An older retired couple who seem to be doing good. Those motorhomes aren’t cheap you know. I’ve heard walmart has no problem with camping overnight. They know they will come in and shop.
Thanks, Sam! (RIP) Many of us RVers take you up on your offer to spend a (one) night while traveling. I’ve spent a night at Walmart stores from coast to coast and border to border – and never have seen a RVer leave a mess. (Rarely, some have, unfortunately.) Why spend $40 for a RV park for a few hours sleep and rest when the RV is self contained!? (We’ve spent money at almost every Walmart we’ve stayed at – Sam knew what he was doing!) Thank you, Walmart!

I agree with the person that’s viewing this from a computer inside a building….I’m at work and there is a foot of snow outside….I would rather be outside my RV in the sun anyday….I don’t care what parking lot it is…it’s better than where I am right now….
The scary thing is Walmart actually encourages people in RVs to stay in the parking lots. Some even have utility hook ups.
And people do it.

chimichanga,
First off, who said I was half naked? I have some decency; I change out of my PJs and put my jeans and shirt on and go outside. I don’t want the world seeing my business. And secondly, maybe I don’t want to sit inside where if I move around too much my family wakes up and gets pissed.
But my mistake; didn’t realize sitting outside, fully clothed, so my family can sleep a little bit longer was trailer trashy!

Then I saw it on here and I recognize the Chili’s and Amscott in the background.
