‘Freedom’ means being able to wear matching shirts you’ve sewn out of bargain bin patterns you bought at the USA R’ US Fabrics store, any damn time you want.

Thg irony just about kills me. Walmart wouldn’t know a “made in America” item if they tripped over it. Too busy outsourcing all the work and manufacturing so they can make 6 Billion profit instead of 5.5 Billion

  34. aslangibi, don’t blame Walmart. Blame all those lovely Americans who would prefer paying $1 for a Chinese imitation instead of $4 for the American made. I work at Walmart, and I have heard customers complain about the price of the made in the USA items, and YES…we do carry them. Thing is, people want quality but refuse to pay for it. They want it CHEAP.

Something else for you to keep in mind concerning cost of product. I hear people complain about the cost of groceries while in my checkout line. Yet, they have no remorse about tossing a frozen item, gallon of milk, package of meat etc up onto my candy shelf. Which I won’t get a chance to clean up until I have no customers. So of course, all that stuff has to be thrown away.

WHY can’t they just HAND it to us so we know it has to be put back Immediately? And it is never the canned or boxed stuff. It is always the perishables. We toss it, YOU pay.

    Dear “God”

Our “freedom” has been sold to People’s Republic. We don’t have a true option to wear, buy or own much made here by the workers in our own country. We also need jobs – other than Government, IT, or Walmart Greeter. Before anyone will be able to catch a picture of me in a Walmart, Target, or Kohl’s (dressed or not) – I will have to see evidence of a change in thought and purchasing patterns in consumer outlets. Oh – you can add Macy’s, Belks, Penneys, even Bob Evans (where Amish cookbooks are “printed” in China and “Grandma’s Kitchin’” signs are made there too). Add in all the “Country” items in the storefronts – including the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrell.

The latest statistics I’ve read are that a full quarter (25%) of America’s HOME-LESS are veterans. Keep that in mind the next time you pick up a ten-dollar shirt for your child – that will most likely fall apart or shrink the first or second time you wash it. Pay the 15 dollars instead for the “Made in the USA” sign. Look for them. It will be hard – but they do exist.

As you can see – there is a real reason to have disdain for Walmart Shoppers. If equating their lack of style or concern to the laziness expressed by just popping into the local Walmart – making the richest exploiters on the planet – even richer – even to their own detriment – then I wish a hearty “God Bless You” to the creators of this site.

    Amen

If they hadn’t sent all our jobs to other other countries maybe we could afford to shop American. The companies didn’t want to pay more than minimum wage so every sewing job, I know of, went to Mexico or elsewhere. Before they sent the jobs away if you where sewing piece work and made over minimum wage for the day, they would give your job to a new girl & put you sewing something else you could never meet production. How would you like to hem 100 towels an hour and still not make $5 an hour? I know I should have gotten an education and I better job, but believe it or not sometimes you just have to feed your family and there’s no money left to get an education.

Seriously, couples of any age that dress the same just look stupid! My husband & I recently saw a 20 yr. old or so couple both dressed in the same brand gray sweats, same socks & same Reebok sneakers & I broke out into hysterical laughter, then my husband saw what I was laughing about & we were practically rollin on the floor. You know that the men didn’t choose this option & in my opinion just makes the poor souls seem neutered. SO for those women who think it’s “cute” to dress the same, have a heart & let your husband keep his family jewels intact when he refuses.

@ Wild Bill — You really need to not talk crap about American soldiers. Whatever your thoughts on the war may be (& thank goodness we’re all entitled to them) to drag soldiers into it goes beyond bad taste & disrespect into an area I can’t quite come up with a fitting word to describe. Focus on those responsible for it & not on the brave men & women who have or are currently in the middle of it.

Not everyone can think for themselves, and these are labels that help us identify them.

Ok, so they match, funny right? What if they were wearing those shirts to honor a person serving overseas now? Or someone that lost their life over in Iraq? Would this be funny then? Shame on each and everyone of you that think this is funny.

Hey hey, easy! At least they will show their patriotism on a day other than some national holiday. Fourth of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, the anniversary of 911, and wooo there’s American flags flying high everywhere. On everyone’s clothes, cars, trucks. In their yards.

But any other day, they’re noticably absent. It’s sad. It saddens me to see such negative criticism. That’s what’s wrong with the world. While I admit they are a bit garrish, they at least have enough love for one another to want the world to know they’re a matching pair, both in wardrobe and in life.

One last thought, those shirts look an awful lot like bowling shirts ;) Maybe they’re part of a bowling league.

I challenge you to check your critical thoughts of one another. Look for the deeper meaning, not just the surface afront that you think has been made.

    The world’s too judgemental.

I think this pic was taken in Columbia! Either that, or my friend and I saw a different dude at Wal-Mart wearing the same shirt, which might be even more fantastic.

Hey Jerry, you don’t need to count all the stars to know it’s wrong. A 50-star flag has the stars arranged in diagonal rows. The old pre-1950 flag with 48 stars has them arranged in synchronized horizontal rows. This is clearly a 48-star flag, at best. Perhaps it’s got 54 or 60? You can see 6 rows but who knows how many columns. But I’m guessing that 48 is an accurate count.

By the way, wearing this shirt is anti-Alaska.

To some of the morons who commented. Ever think they may have just come from some sort of Patriotic event? Maybe buying last minute supplies for the Welcome Home celebration for a family member coming home from the sandbox? Geez this is not your typical “dressing alike” photos.

Those shirts came from crackerbarrel…. and there were $30….isn’t that a shame…let alone that they only came in men’s sizes…..

I like how I instantly recognized those shirts to be from Kohl’s since I worked there and folded them everyday. They’re fine by themselves, but the woman wearing them too? No.
