Several years ago I was in Hawaii and there was a young lady there whose nails were just as long. She had extremely hard nails. She had a sign up answering all the questions that she received from people. While I hesitate to admit it – I live in MN & although it wasn’t in a WalMart (cause they’re on my ‘will not shop there’ list) – I’ve met this woman before – YEARS ago.
I couldn’t help but first watch her, then talk to her – being all up in her business & such. I think it was back when I wore my toe nails long (I say “long” but do NOT mean “LONG” – longer than ordinary but not creepy).
Anyhow – she’s curiously intelligent (I say “curiously” because it seems odd that someone who seems so pulled together would be growing funky nails like that), she IS gainfully legally employed, can do absolutely anything (so it seemed) with her hands that any of us with ordinary nails can do. She actually works in an office, I believe – or did back then.

A friend knew a man whose wife had disgusting claws like this. I don’t get how they never break! I can grow my nails out to a normal length, but when they start getting long they break, are her nails thick from fungus or something because i just want to freaking know those disgusting things don’t snap off. I couldn’t help but first watch her, then talk to her – being all up in her business & such. I think it was back when I wore my toe nails long (I say “long” but do NOT mean “LONG” – longer than ordinary but not creepy).
Anyhow – she’s curiously intelligent (I say “curiously” because it seems odd that someone who seems so pulled together would be growing funky nails like that), she IS gainfully legally employed, can do absolutely anything (so it seemed) with her hands that any of us with ordinary nails can do. She actually works in an office, I believe – or did back then.
This is my first visit to this site & I was seriously cracking up at the photos til I started reading people’s comments. What does our President, healthcare reform, or ethnicity have to do with these funky nails?
