I’m not an expert (nor am I from the sloopy state) but I can’t imagine how it could be legal to drive around with a flashlight for a headlight.

woah… Ohio is pretty damn redneck in parts of the state, but really dmoney? I’m sure many people could take serious offense to that. I have lived in Cincinnati my entire life. I love our shitty Bengals. I’m not buch for OSU or Dodges though. How many states have you been in to label us as fat asses? Where are you from, I bet I can rip off a bunch of shitty, invalid stereotypes for you just as well as you can. Oh, as a side note, I have NEVER seen a car with as bad a front end as that.

Dmoney come on!! Not all of us Ohio gals are gross! Granted I have a bit of a guttermind, but I digress…! We don’t all look like the women on this site ;) I’ll admit there’s a lot of yucky people here, though. Going to Wal Mart terrifies me because of the fug and filth that go there.

In all seriousness, Ohio simply doesn’t do the vehicle inspections that more… civilized… states have. Plan and simple they allow junk on the road and there’s vehicles that are death traps on wheels. I’ve seen people open their doors and STICK THEIR FEET OUT AND SLOW THE CAR DOWN because they must have had no brakes… wtf?! I guess I go spoiled living in states that required vehicle inspections!

Come on peoples, as stated by others, headlights are only required at night. Hand signals can be used in most, if not every state for turning, so there you go! As for the flash lights, they’re only probably for chasing possums or something, which also is legal in many states! -:)

Jarrod, Ohio doesn’t require headlights to be on when raining/wipers are on in the daytime. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to drive in torrential rain and nearly have your car wrecked countless times because people don’t have their headlights on and you can’t see them. I’m hoping to get out of here soon! This state’s gonna kill me!

Really ? I live in Ohio, and just because all the other people in all the other states have their heads stuck up their butts doesn’t mean Ohio sucks. You just think it does because, once again, you have your head so far up your butt you can’t see straight. And I have seen wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy worse cars than this in other states. More, actually. That’s just us. Got a problem ? Come talk to us. When your done talking to us and we’re done talking to you, you might actually use super-sticky duct tape to pull your head out. And dmoney ? Screw you. All the way. Your a wimp-ass chump. Southern Ohio has an accent exactly like florida people, west virginia, south carolina, those places. I’ve been on vacation to those places, and they all talk exactly the same as me. And a state is ‘retarded’ ? you make alot of sense there, buddy.

Ohio does not have safety inspections, except for random stops by state highway patrolmen. That Jeep would definitely fail a safety inspection. However, Ohio does have emission inspections (E-Check), but only in several NE Ohio counties (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit.) E-Check used to be done in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas, but politicians there put an end to them. Wish they could do the same for NE OH…E-Check is a bureaucracy, and it costs you more, if your vehicle fails.

This is almost as intelligent as the guy in Michigan that duck-taped a flashlight to his motorcycle handlebars when his headlight burned out and then took it out on a five lane highway in the middle of the night. He actually hit a car that didn’t see him and turned in front of him. At least this guy has vehicle size on his side.

OK – I live in SE Ohio (kill me now?) but I would like to clarify 2 points here:

    1. Ohio DOES require headlights when it’s raining (I know this cause I unfortunately just moved back here from VA where it’s required) and they made me take the TEMP test again to get my license.

    2. Ohio does have vehicle inspections – but they only use them as an excuse to pull people over when they think it might be a DUI but they want to get close enough to see if they can smell the booze (again, at least in VA we had inspections and emissions testing!!)

As for the rest…well…I saw a truck last week with *4* different tires – the one on the driver’s side was meant for a car and the whole truck was out of whack and my brother and I nearly killed ourselves laughing :D

  66. I am from Ohio, dammit and I em purrrowd

This is funny. I hate to admit it, but most of you from Ohio aren’t doing a very good job defending our state (wrong spellings, wrong information). I’ve lived in central Ohio and currently in northern Ohio. Columbus wasn’t so bad, but I would have to agree with the people about northern Ohio. I complain constantly about people not knowing how to drive up here. Then I found out that they don’t offer driver’s education in the high schools, and most cannot afford to send their kids to private organizations, so they just wait until they are 18 to get their licenses and have absolutely no training what so ever. We’re not all morons, but there are many many many who prove my point to be incorrect. Sometimes I wish I was from somewhere else. I can’t even be a NFL fan, because the Browns suck and trying to like another team here will just get you beat.

  68. Ohio sucks.. but not that much

ok, ok.. this Ohio hating is nuts. EVERYONE has their share of idiots running around, we can’t contain stupidity. But to delegate it to the entire state? That’s just rude:P I’m from Toledo but went to college in southern Ohio so it’s fair to say I have a decent view of the north and south.. we are by FAR not the fattest state, nor the ugliest. Ever notice how many movies and TV shows take place in Ohio? It’s said to be the most representative state of the nation, as far as accents, income, education, etc. Not sure about race (white people everywhere!) or Chargers (I have no clue where you got that fact, man). But, coming from someone who calls himself ‘DMoney,’ I have no idea why I felt the need to defend my state:P

  76. Moved back to Ohio from Vegas...

That’s funny slamming Ohio but seriously, I was in the Marines and I’ve lived all over and I came back to Ohio. I live 15 mins outside Cleveland in a nice big house with a nice green yard and I’ll tell you what, the shittiest cars I ever saw were in Vegas when I saw a bunch of Mexicans driving in a 92′ Pontiac Sunbird with the roof and side pillars ripped off….it was a ghetto Convertible….I’ve never seen anything that bad in Ohio…

The Cops where I live would have this dude pulled over faster than shit no matter if he was violating a law or not…they are just dicks like that! And that’s a beautiful thing! We try to keep the scum sandwiched between Inner City Cleveland and the Burbs haha

But as for Ohio…there’s a lot to bitch about, but that’s everywhere you go. I hear people bitching everytime the winter comes and its February and cold as hell but come summer everyone is happy as shit!

P.S. the trashiest people I ever met where the d-bags that rolled into Vegas from L.A each weekend. Nobody likes you! Stay in L.A. motherfuckers!

You know I once did this when I had an electrical problem with the lights on my car. It was in the middle of the night, on a snowy night on a highway in the middle of no where. I happend to have two large Maglights with me and to get me to the next town where I had planned to stop for the night, I duct taped them to the side of my fenders, turned them on and drove the last half hour to the town. They worked VERY well. The next morning I went to the towns local garage and had the problem fixed. The guy at the garage laughed his ass off but told me he would have done the same thing. I still keep one of those lights and a roll of tape in my emergency kit in the trunk. You never know.

Spanksfan, you suck, and Ohio does have vehicle inspections, IF you are registering a vehicle previously registered in another state. Also, in the north east, I assure you there are as many if not more ignorant white trash folk as Ohio get a clue. I don’t know if you are claiming New York as a “the north east”, If so, Allegheny County, Chautauqua County, Erie County, Niagara County, Wyoming County, Orleans County, Gennesee County, Monroe, C’mon, you really think the whole state gets to claim Saks =Fith Avenue sophistication? These idiots haven’t even learned how to put reflectors in the lane markings for reduced visibility driving conditions. Ohio has ‘em, (between a lot of the pothole displays/roads)

And Shawna, please, I don’t want to here such crap from a Pennsyl-Tuckan, cause “yins” got no room to talk trash about Ohio, your mirror image state.

Sean I bet you’re right. Picks them up – after he runs over them and tosses them right into the back. I think we now know how his front end got so farked up?

  94. It’s obvious what happened here: the front-end ripped off during his DWI, at which point he lost his license. And if you’re driving without a license, what’s the point of fixing your headlights–you’ll already get it in the impound. Plus, that case of Busch lite isn’t going to deliver itself to your doorstep.

You overlooked the most important point. The flashlights are held on with duct tape. ANYTHING is legal if it involves “duck” tape.

Ohio Rocks!! EVERY state in this great nation has inbred rednecks. Ohio has ‘em too. Dmoney is a fool. I’m glad you are holed up in some ghetto while I see freedom and our beautiful women everyday.( you were probably looking at your sister, frowned on in Ohio.)
Poor guy probably hit one of our world-famous “suicide deer”. They hang out until they see ya coming…..then they JUMP OUT right in front of you causing expensive, but superficial damage. Jeeps are tough as nails. A honda/toyota would have been totaled. He probably figured it was more expensive to fix properly than to replace. All joking aside, even though we have no vehicle insp.,I can’t imagine THIS is legal!
    Remember,IT’S A WAL-MART THING,not just Ohio!

I have lived in Ohio my entire life. I have NEVER seen a car this bad. There are bad parts of every state, just like each state has a different accent. I am from NE Ohio and people say we have accents. You cant judge a state by one picture on a website that is strictly making fun of people at walmart, because if that was the case, then every state in America would be considered a red-neck state…..

Live in NE Ohio as well, and we have to have our cars inspected up here! SO not fair…I think it goes by population. This car would never pass the E-check up here! HAS to be somewhere in the Appalachian foothills! Ohio people, quit being so sensitive!

Although I was not born in Ohio (my dad was in the Army), I was raised here. And honestly, there is a good chance that the person who did that at least attended the same high school as me. Most of the people where I am from are rednecks and that’s something that you learn to love. It’s a source of entertainment for me. I live in a hay field and there’s a corn field in my back yard and I have fourteen horses. But, when you live in Ohio you learn to love all its little quirks. We have sucky weather, so you learn to love the rain and the fact that it was forty degrees last night and seventy today. I’m proud to be a Buckeye, no matter what.

you cant blame the people of ohio for this kind of behavior. many have mentioned the lack of annual inspection, and last time i heard, insurance was not required by law there either. i think its all the flat land that messes with these peoples minds. also as a side note, in ohio i once came across an intersection with both a traffic light and a stop sign. you figure it out.
