Why would someone cover up a newer vehicle with all those stickers? I mean, if it were an old POS van than I’d understand.
BTW, those of you asking what the political tie to seat belt laws….in most (if not all) states there is a law requiring that you wear your seat belt. My guess is that they’d rather you be able to make that choice for yourself. Because if your’e too stupid to wear your seat belt, than you deserve to go catapulting through your windshield when you’re in a crash.

@Kristin Easily Amused. Yes seatbelt laws are a political hot button. In TX, you can get a $250 fine and points on your license (towards losing it), if you are ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt. The cops actually sit on bridges with binoculars and scope out cars to ticket for it.
There is an “anti-smoking industry.” Look at all the E Cigarettes and Stop Smoking pills, gum, patches, etc, plus the tax-fiends and lawyer circles.
I think the biggest point of this car was a way to use up all the leftover bumper stickers and save $500 on a paint job from Earl Scheib.

As a car seat tech I’m most concerned about this family of 8 driving around in a car that cannot possibly safely hold 8. I’m sure they aren’t concerned since they clearly oppose seat belt laws. I wonder how much money local law enforcement has made pulling them over just to write up the 6 kids crammed in the back with not belts, boosters, or seats? That’s a primary offense in many areas! Fine. Don’t wear a seat belt. Take yourself out of the gene pool. But give your kids a chance! Because I’d hate to see you have to start all that good decorating work over when you have to buy a bigger van with a wheelchair lift.

I think the point is that giving Government the responsibility of protecting fools from themselves at the expense of curtailing Individual Liberties short-circuits the gene-pool-cleansing effect of natural selection! To REQUIRE wearing a seatbelt for a half-mile trip at 20 MPH maximum speed to the corner service station is also ludicrous. Anyone with a brain already KNOWS to buckle up before entering traffic on any road with a posted speed limit above 25 MPH. Intelligent people are perfectly capable of making intelligent decisions. BTW, this appears to be the Walmart just inside the border of Detroit. If it is, then the “van” (I use that term lightly) is actually parked away from the building and along a major 4 lane street just at the entrance of an expressway……more visible….location, location, location.

Looks like she puts the tarp there so she can park out there for the purposes of displaying this… thing. The window tarp would be dirty if she drove around like that, and she wouldn’t be able to change lanes. This van was actually at the tea party protests in DC on September 12, I have a picture of it. The whole thing is ridiculous, talking about how the person driving has a family of eight and won’t ever stop smoking and carrying a gun at the same time. Lots of other random stuff too.

I’ve seen this woman outside a waffle house in central Indiana. Me and my brother were reading some of her van, because… clearly it was created by a crazy person. It was summer and our windows were down, when this old woman walks out and starts yelling at us about how the government lies to us about smoking (what makes it amazing is that she sounded a lot like the Macho Man Randy Savage). She then throws a handful of pamphlets into my car as we drive off. I kept one I’m not sure where it is. But the lady is 100% insane.

Ok so not only have I slept in this van but was forced to drive it around downtown Indianapolis with the windows down and music blaring. She parks it at any Wal-Mart that is close to a dogs show seeing as she shows Alfghan Hounds. The response level to national disaster is noble but it’s a damn shame that so many citizens take advantage of the sad situations.
