So how does she avoid a ‘brandishing a weapon in public’ charge by walking around with a staff that can also be used as a weapon? If she smacked someone upside the head with that I’m sure one could sue the pants off of WalMart for allowing her in the store. WalMart is supposed to supply by law whats called ‘reasonable security’ for all patrons and employees. Whos to say she isnt mentaly ill and might lash out at any time with that thing….especaily if they are out of kitty litter!

Hot damn. I’m an eclectic pagan that practices witchcraft and the only time I’d dress anywhere near anything like that is for a pagan pride day or a religious festival/holiday/Sabbat. My staff stays at home most of the time and the only things I wear are a necklace with a “chaos star” (smaller than an Ipod nano), a tigerseye point (about half the length/same width as a standard pen, maybe one third) and my pentacle. There’s being proud and then there’s just.. a little too much. If you took this two months ago, I’m willing to believe she MIGHT have just come from a celebration for Mabon (September 19th, 20th, 21st or 22nd) or a druidic festival but.. jeez.
Not only does this make us look “bad” in the eyes of others (read: ‘crazy’) but special items (and that staff should be special if she’s decorating it up like a totem staff) shouldn’t be taken to freaking walmart. That’d be like me making toast with my athame. Yick. After all. Preacher Bob from that baptist church down the lane doesn’t come dressed in his ceremonial robes (I hope) to walmart. We shouldn’t either.
