Okay, for those of you who did not live in the northwest (I live on the Montana border, near Billings), that picture could very well have been taken a few days ago. What passes for cold up here is not what passes for cold in the rest of the country. I lived in Beaumont, Texas for 21 years, and was shocked when I saw people wearing shorts (like the guy in the photo) when it was 30 degrees outside. When it gets to 30 below zero, trust me, 30 above is just fine, thank you…..

This is a very common sight during this time of year. Our winters are anywhere from 30 to -20.
So when it’s livable, people will break out the shorts, skirts and tank tops.
I can not tell you how many people I’ve seen wearing shorts, or a mini skirt and a tank top to school in 20 degree weather.
I personally don’t understand it, but it’s a norm in the north west.
