This is not so unusual it needs to be on this site. Nice try but massive fail.
First of all – that movie is pretty entertaining. No, not Oscar worthy (not even Oscar the Grouch worthy), but entertaining.
Second – do not discount the possibility of this guy’s girlfriend or wife (or mother) remembering before xmas 1988 (or 2008) that this guy loved the movie. Then she went out and found this jacket… He cannot NOT wear it without offending her.
That movie had an abortion of a script, the lead character looked like he missed a chromosome somewhere, and unless it was Back to the Future, time warp movies from the 80s generally SUCKED!
The one redeeming factor is that, well, it IS an 80s jacket, and retro CAN be cool… but…

Odds are he was part of the production crew for the shoot — a grip, best boy, something. Those are typically the guys who get the production merchandise perks. He wears it as a badge of honor, as he should if those are the circumstances. Proof that he’s seen better days than waiting in line to fill out a Walmart application.

Besides the fact that this photo is lame, there is probably a decent reason why this person is wearing this jacket. Being warm and appropriately dressed doesn’t mean you have to have the latest fashions.
This is a definite fail on the part of the website admins for this site. There is nothing at all wrong with this picture, so the guy likes a film that you and the photographer think is lame, doesn’t make him a PoWM.

There happens to be a very lucrative and none-too-cheap Highlander memorabilia line that includes that leather coat, as well as replicas off the swords used in the movie and series, miniatures, other articles of clothing, etc. The movies and series were popular, so a photo of this man wearing the coat is definitely not PoWM-worthy. And if someone gave me that jacket, I sure as hell would wear it! LOL
I am a fan of the original movie and the TV shows. I wouldn’t mind owning that jacket, either.

That jacket is from the TV show. I know this because my mother has it. As well as the kitana, every fucking video and all sorts of other Duncan McCloud nonsense.
I don’t really see anything all that wrong with this photo. Like others said, the jacket is clean, in good repair and the person from the back also looks clean and not terribly overweight or anything either.
Ok, I reaslly loved the show better than the movies, but th is being said…not only would I NOT admit that to most people but I would NEVER purchase a leather jacket with the title on it!!! I am praying this guy worked on the set or something and it was a freebie.

I believe the pic up there is me believe it or not. Cause I verified with the wife that it was her in the front. I remember someone asking to take a pic of it one day along time ago. I got that coat years ago from my Dad as a birthday present cause I am a fan. My brother got the sword.

I have this jacket and yes mine is real leather got it from buying the series years ago for free nothing wrong with the movies or the TV series.I have worn this jacket and there is nothing unusual about it. Don’t know why it is on this website or why it is such a big deal by so many people u either liked the highlander franchise or you didn’t. This is a collectors item and it hangs in my closet covered with a plastic bag.Who knows one day this jacket might be worth a lot of money @ least thats what I am hoping. No basement living with my mom here your mom ’s gotta be alive for that.

I believe the pic up there is me believe it or not. Cause I verified with the wife that it was her in the front. I remember someone asking to take a pic of it one day along time ago. So I dont understand how it now just made it up here. Maybe someone thought it would make a good POWM pic for some reason
I got that coat years ago from my Dad as a birthday present cause I am a fan. My brother got the sword.
I have had several people take pics of the coat and have had people offer to buy it off my back. Yes it is the Authentic one.. Real Leather.
The only reason I am here today writing this is cause a friend of mine emailed me this link and wanted to know if it was me..
Boy this is something I never saw happening.

I have this jacket and yes mine is real leather got it from buying the series years ago for free nothing wrong with the movies or the TV series.I have worn this jacket and there is nothing unusual about it. Don’t know why it is on this website or why it is such a big deal by so many people u either liked the highlander franchise or you didn’t. This is a collectors item and it hangs in my closet covered with a plastic bag.Who knows one day this jacket might be worth a lot of money @ least thats what I am hoping. No basement living with my mom here your mom ’s gotta be alive for that.

OMG! i think this is my dad :/ and yea hes a majpr geek but i love him even thow its embarasing to walk out and about with him when he wants to wear this jacket, its like the only jacket he wears
i guess the devil wears prada
and
the old geeks wear HIGHLANDER jackets
there can only be one and that one is my dad :/
