They are just testing a new stroller prototype. Sure it cuts back on safety measures a little bit, but I think we can all agree that the new sleek stealth design is well worth the risk of injuries.

I throw parents like this into the “Weak and Ignorant” bucket. They just cave into their kids, letting them yell and scream then giving them what they want just to shut their pie holes. I used to scream and yell from time to time when I was a little tot, but then my mom would slap the taste out of my mouth (out of love of course) or my dad would give me the “Ill give you something to scream about” talk and behavior was corrected….

Andrew…where do you get the parent was just caving into the screaming kid to shut them up from that picture?
Looks to me like the kid is about the right age to begin sledding…thus the need for a sled.
I really see nothing wrong with this picture, providing the store wasn’t overly crowded, the kid is sitting in the sled, he/she isn’t running up and down the isle dragging the sled.

Jennifer, STFU. There is a certain amount of danger in anything we do. The fact is, it’s a SLED. Is riding it around the floor getting pulled by his mother (slowly, I might add) ANY more dangerous than actually riding it down a hill, potentially hitting a tree, rock, etc? You’re one of these vigilante, goody two shoes, holier than thou, pad-the-world-with-mattresses-so-our-kids-don’t-get-hurt douchebags that the rest of us CAN’T STAND. Fact is, unless she’s doing wal-mart aisle sprints, that mother isn’t walking fast enough to tip that thing, much less have him go rolling down an aisle.

Anyway… look at all that clothing. He’s padded.

You sir are aptly named. You also appear to have anger issues. Ya it is possible that the kid could get hurt in the sled. It’s also possible (and I would assume more-so) that the kid could be killed on the way to the store by a drunk driver.

You and people like you are the real problem in America. You are so scared of everything that you can’t even live. Before you go all caps on my arse again (go ahead and correct the spelling grammar nazi) remember, the only thing the same about all of your problems is you.

I don’t hate the idea of a mom dragging her kid around in a sled because of safety reasons. Mostly because GOD, the sound of plastic scraping on the floor would be hella annoying (done it before). Also, I would worry about marking up the floor when the sled picks up the little rocks left behind by people’s shoes. Finally, I really hope she buys that sled after this and doesn’t just leave it or trade it in.

Mostly though, I think it’s a stupid idea.

    “RE DRIVEL -
I AM NOT ANGRY, MOST PEOPLE ARE SADDENED BY THE IGNORANCE OF PEOPLE SUCH AS YOU!” and blah blah blah and other such nonsense.

If MOST people are saddened by our ignorance, and WE are the problem, then why are MOST of the ppl on this site giving us the thumbs up, and your comments are being hidden due to low ratings? Hmmm. Makes one wonder, doesn’t it?

    @Jennifer and Village Idiot
Wow. I have never seen such a display of tottal ignorance and disillusionment. Clearly neither of you possess general common sense. The fact that the two of you honestly belive that either of you are among the elite of the human population is a testament to your idiocy. Clearly this woman has intentions of buying this little plastic sled. It is winter and it is Pennsylvania. and since im noticing the ansence of a cart im assuming that the aforementioned sled was originally intended to be her only purchase, but she, like so many of us who shop at Wal-Mart, realized that she needed to purchase another item while there. And, I am also quite sure that she could not possibly be dragging that child around the store on that little plastic toy, Jennifer, because the friction generated between that tile floor and the plastic sled would make that feat physically impossible.

And just in case you two are not the idiot savants that you both so desperately wish to be (a fact of which i am sure), let me dumb my point down for you……… Shut the fuck up. This site is meant to be funny and the picture was meant to provide humor. If you dont like the pictures or the comments, then stop visiting the site.

If Village Idiot id a mental health professional I’m the Queen of England. My wife is in fact a psychiatrist who graduated from John Hopkins about two and a half years ago. She got a giggle out of reading your posts and in her words, you sir are ‘nucking futs’. You are obviously attention starved (hence the blatent unprovoked insults and caps) and meglamaniacal (look it up V Idiot since you won’t know what it is). You attempt to talk over peoples heads (which you fail at) in a condescending manner suggesting insecurity issues.

And a side note, if you were a psychiatrist, you would not be the one doing the restraining or the inserting of patients into restraint devices. See REAL psychiatrists have other people that do that for them. Next time know what you are talking about before you try to impose your delusions of grandeur upon the internet.

    from a kid’s viewpoint…looks like fun!

from an adult’s standpoint…looks like fun!

I’d almost prefer a high-walled wagon for my kiddie..fill it with toys and some food. kid gets a ride, remains happy..the child seats in a cart aren’t comfortable…if you have a long memory.

Has anyone stopped to think for a second that maybe he’s SITTING in it while she’s looking at something? There’s a possibility she’s been carrying it throughout the entire store and needed to set it down for a minute while she double checked something. Kids are funny little things and will grab just about anything to see if they can sit in it, why should a sled be any exception? True, they DO need to be careful and take it out of the middle of the aisles to keep from getting hurt, but this MAY be a case of bad timing. There is NO PROOF in this picture she’s actually DRAGGING him across the store in it. Seriously, find something to do with your day other than stalk Walmart shoppers.

This is a true Walcreature. It’s not based on looks alone, it’s the behavior. This is a prime example of low(no) class or consideration for others. It’s funny cuz some other mouth breather dragging around her inbred booger eatin’ brat will trip over them and a glorious brawl in the cleaning supplies will break out. I’m counting on you brave folks to get that picture! I’d like to see one of that rude b-itch with that sled busted over her head! That would be funny! I can choose to look away when meeting a visual f-cked up Wal-Creature but it’s hard to avoid the MissBehavin’ ones. This is why myself and others do not shop at Wal-Mart anymore….we can deal with pantless grannies but will not put up with the ill mannered, self centered trash who spend OUR tax payer $$$’s.

Wow, there is so much anger in some of these posts. As a parent of three kids I don’t really see the safety issue. If you are going to let your kid use a sled in the first place, how is this pic any more risky? To the people who are complaining about the sled being in the way and want the Mom to get a shooping cart, wouldn’t the cart take up more room? Should we all only buy what we can carry in our hands so we don’t get in your way? Sorry, I didn’t realize that the world revolved arround those of us who chose not to have kids, and yes I chose to have my three kids. I am well aware of the many types of birth control and chose not to use them because I wanted children.

Now let’s cut her some slack. She’s probably buying the sled, and the kid wants to ride on it RIGHT NOW, and she’s been a mom for awhile and knows about tantrum avoidance, and I would have done exactly the same thing.

Most likely Mom is buying the sled but maybe just maybe there isnt any snow outside in PA yet, so she improvised..what you didnt see is her running up and down the isles..the kid is little and thinks he/she is sledding and mom gets some shopping done, everyone wins! Its much warmer inside walmart and the floors are white..so..its close enough! But really this is common, I mean dont you see kids wanting to play with their new things IMMEDIATLY? I know mine does!

    Dear god,
I don’t think anyone in the world should be allowed to have a child if THIS is dangerous!
Hell we used to do things on sleds that could have resulted in a few months in a body cast! So what, it’s life, if my kid’s doin something stupid I’ll do what dad did.
“Don’t cry to me when you bust your ass boy.”
