Well, I am aquainted with him. 5 Years ago I worked at Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, CA and this guy would come through our store all the time. Headphones on, wandering aimlessly. He is mentally disabled and was sometimes seen with a care giver.

I agree with Kacky. This gentleman either has a cognitive disability or is an adult on the autism spectrum. If he is an adult on the autism spectrum you can not imagine how hard this gentleman had to work to even allow himself to go into a busy, noisy store such as walmart. He is probably wearing the vest with pockets that are filled with weights and wearing head phones to block out the other noises. My son has autism and it breaks my heart that one day he will be ridiculed and laughed at about things he can not control. People with disabilites deserve respect and dignity.

I agree with the previous comments. This man did nothing to ask for this ridicule. A bit of humanity and civility is in order. I have worked with the MH/MR community, and people who cannot help themselves deserve no less respect than any other human in our world. May we who were blessed with relative normality show them great compassion, especially during this Season.

I KNOW THIS GUY!!
Well, I am aquainted with him. 5 Years ago I worked at Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, CA and this guy would come through our store all the time. Headphones on, wandering aimlessly. He is mentally disabled and was sometimes seen with a care giver.
Harmless.

Ohhhh to all of those people who are putting down POWM, I seem to notice that even though you’re making the comments against the site, you have come here to view it. If you don’t like what you see then don’t come back. I think this site is doing a public service because I think twice what I wear when I go to the Wal Mart now. Maybe more people need to look here and review what they wear before they go out in public. Just a thought!

I agree with Kacky. This gentleman either has a cognitive disability or is an adult on the autism spectrum. If he is an adult on the autism spectrum you can not imagine how hard this gentleman had to work to even allow himself to go into a busy, noisy store such as walmart. He is probably wearing the vest with pockets that are filled with weights and wearing head phones to block out the other noises. My son has autism and it breaks my heart that one day he will be ridiculed and laughed at about things he can not control. People with disabilites deserve respect and dignity.

Wow, I thought that guy worked for Black Water, but was fired for being “To Visible”. That said, Has anyone else noticed the Blue Sign behind him?
