This Wal-Mart deal was forced by Dr.Pepper (and backed up with a nice fat check to the winning university). No matter who had won, the trophy HAD to be displayed in a local Wal-Mart.
Personally, I think it is a pretty great for little future football players to get a chance to see what hard work gets you. A lot of people never get the chance to get this close to something like this.

Growing up in Alabama I have always had to deal with the Auburn/Alabama rivalry. The funniest thing to me about the whole thing is that Alabama fans know good and well that had it been another team who won and paraded the crystal trophy around Wal-Mart, they would be the first in line to make fun of whoever it was. It just goes to show how obnoxious and whiney Alabama fans can be. Now I know there are a select few Bamers out there who are good fans and actually know there history and aren’t obnoxious, but unfortunately those few bad apples deffinetly spoil the whole bunch. It doesn’t matter who you are if you see two guys looking like this in Wal-Mart you would make fun of them if they hadn’t been rocking their 1992 Bama outifts.
