Get A Job!

Come on lady! I think it’s about time we get serious, okay? This is getting a little embarrassing on your part. If he is old enough for a shirt and tie then I think it’s time for him to put his teddy bear down.

    I agree with the photo comment. Service animals really should not be carrying their toys with them–it does not look mature. And that little guy looks like it is clinging to it for comfort. Training, training, training…

    However, come March 15, 2011, per new ADA rules… no more monkeys on her back in public.

    She has a permit to have him for medical reasons. He’s a service animal, and his name is Connor.

    @Ashley:

    Due to the new service animal regulations (initiated by G W Bush when he was President, and revisions ultimately signed into law by President Obama), she will not be able to continue using Connor as a service animal in public access as of March 15, 2011:

    http://www.ada.gov/regs2010/factsheets/title3_factsheet.html (See point 5)

    As I understand the new laws, she may, under FHA guidelines, be able to keep him as a service animal for use in-home only. The CDC had much input with the Department of Justice on use of primates as service animals in places of public accommodation, their concerns being, especially, potential for disease transmission. She will need to consult with legal assistance, her State Attorney General, or the DOJ to find out more on the new rules regarding service animal primates in the home.
