Defective Customer

I was working as a CSM at a Walmart in Beaufort South Carolina when I got called to the customer service desk. There was a woman there trying to return a USED pregnancy test. She explained to me that her doctor told her to have her husband pee on the test to see if he had cancer. Well after waiting the required time and not getting a result she decided that the test was defective, and the next step should be return it to the store. When I couldn’t get her to understand that she was supposed to call the manufacturer, I called my assistant manager. This woman told her story again to the assistant manager, and I showed him on the box where it said who to call in case of defect. In an effort to appease the woman, who just wasn’t getting it he went ahead and had the cashier refund the womans money. I couldn’t believe it!
